Chapter 376 - The Abyss!

To be honest, Jiang Fei had been curious about the identity of his Skill Instructor for a long time. Since he started playing the game, Jiang Fei had met a lot of big shots. He had met many Overlord big bosses, too many to count. However, other than his mysterious Instructor, Jiang Fei had never met an NPC that did not have their names displayed.

Even the omnipotent mysterious ring did not provide any information about his Instructor. When this was paired with Protagoras’s respectful attitude today, this made Jiang Fei even more curious about Ou Yezi’s identity.

“Your Royal Highness Protagoras, do you know anything about my Instructor?” Jiang Fei asked curiously. He addressed the old man like how Isabella did.

“My friend, just call me by my name. If you can’t bring yourself to do that, you can address me as ‘older brother’. I really can’t afford to take on the title of Your Royal Highness!” Protagoras waved repeatedly.

“Err… okay then… can you tell me about my Instructor?” Jiang Fei nodded and continued.

“Well… I can’t really say much about your Instructor. If he has decided not to tell you anything, he naturally has his own reasons for it. But since you asked, I’ll tell you a little about him!” After pondering for a moment, Protagoras asked, “Do you know King Zhou of Shang?”

“Of course!” Jiang Fei quickly nodded. Not long ago, Isabella had told him about King Zhou of Shang. This godly person was incredible, he had easily slaughtered a few Celestial-ranked people as if they were chickens.

“Senior Ou Yezi was one of the four great assistants who served King Zhou of Shang!” That was all Protagoras said. He would not give any more information no matter what Jiang Fei asked him.

“Hsss…” Jiang Fei could not help but suck in a breath. He still had no idea how strong his Class Instructor was. However, if his Instructor could get close to the Nephilim King and become one of the Nephilim King’s four great assistants, this Class Instructor was definitely extraordinary.

“The legendary Four Sages of the Heavens?” Isabella exclaimed from behind Jiang Fei. Her voice was filled with surprise.

“Yes!” Protagoras nodded.

“That’s great!” After a moment of surprise, Isabella suddenly burst into joy! Then, she turned and said to Jiang Fei, “Fei, let’s go visit my father, the King, when we have time!”

Previously, Isabella was afraid to see the Nephilim King because she had become Jiang Fei’s pet by chance. She was afraid that the King would hurt Jiang Fei out of anger. So, she did not dare to go home. Now, however, as Jiang Fei’s Instructor was an unimaginably powerful person, the problem was instantly solved.

Isabella was resurrected long ago, so it was impossible for her to not miss her home and her parents. She did not want to go back home because she was afraid that Jiang Fei would get into trouble. Now that Jiang Fei had the support of such a powerful person, Isabella naturally could not wait to return to her home and see the Nephilim King and Queen.

“Okay!” Jiang Fei nodded. He was not stupid. Of course, he knew that Isabella was homesick. Moreover, Jiang Fei did not have to pretend that he was a dragon rider and trick everyone else anymore. Jiang Fei knew how to take advantage of circumstances very well. Since he had such a powerful Instructor, he had to make good use of it. Otherwise, all the experience and skills that he had gained from pretending all this while would be wasted.

“Your Royal Highness Protagoras, can I invite you for a visit to the Nephilim King’s Palace?” After receiving Jiang Fei’s approval, Isabella turned to invite Protagoras. She wanted to bring this old man for a very simple reason. He could be a witness.

Otherwise, it would be troublesome when Jiang Fei steps into the Nephilim territory. Without a witness, even if Jiang Fei claimed that he was a disciple of one of the Four Sages of the Heavens, it was not guaranteed that people would believe him. If unlucky, they might even get beaten up before they reached the Nephilim King’s Palace.

However, it would be different if they brought Protagoras with them. The old man’s identity was significant. If Protagoras said that Jiang Fei was Ou Yezi’s disciple, even the Nephilim King would believe it.

“Hoho, sure!” Protagoras was the leader of School of the Wise, so there was nothing he did not understand. He had also seen through Jiang Fei and Isabella’s relationship.

This was a chance for him to get on the good side of both Ou Yezi and the Nephilims just by talking a little. Therefore, how could he miss such a good opportunity?

“Let’s go now, then!” Jiang Fei had nothing to do now anyway and it was better if he settled things in relation to the Nephilims quickly. Although he had the identity of a Nephilim, he did not even dare to go to the Shadow Keeper because he was afraid that people would find out that he had turned the Nephilim little princess into his pet.

“Fweet…” Jiang Fei whistled and summoned the Juvenile Skygliding Dragon. He was about to ask Isabella to get on the Mount, but he realized that Isabella was looking at him as if he was an idiot.

“Hoho, my friend, you’ve never been to the Nephilim King’s Palace, have you? If we tried to fly there with your fake dragon, it would probably take ten to fifteen days!” Protagoras laughed.

“Err… how do we get there, then?” Jiang Fei was a little embarrassed.

“I’ll take the both of you there!” Protagoras laughed loudly, then waved his hand. A white light immediately enveloped Jiang Fei and Isabella.

Swoosh!

Jiang Fei saw a white light flash before his eyes and the map changed.

“Ding! You’ve discovered The Abyss! Obtained 350,000 Experience Points!”

“Damn! What’s the level of this map?” The sudden system prompt shocked Jiang Fei. He had gained 350,000 Experience Points just by discovering the map. This showed that it was a high-leveled map.

Through the system’s minimap, Jiang Fei took a look at the level of the map. The Security Level was 0.

According to the information provided by the game officials, the whole “Dawn Break” world was divided into five parts. The Light and Dark Factions each had their own high-security zones. These were maps with a Security Level of 5 or more. There were quite a lot of guards in such maps. If they noticed an enemy player or NPC, they would attack immediately. Moreover, if players fought against each other in their own Factions, they would be punished.

The maps of the Light and Dark Factions with a Security Level of 1 to 4 were called low-security zones. Although there were NPCs patrolling these maps, you could hide to avoid them. After all, low-security zones were not like high-security zones, where there were NPCs everywhere.

Maps with a Security Level of 0 were free combat zones. There were no NPC guards in such maps. If you entered such a zone, it meant that you were prepared to kill and be killed.

When added together, the high and low-security zone maps of both the Light and Dark Factions only accounted for about 20% of the entire map. 80% of the entire “Dawn Break” world was made up of free combat zones with a Security Level of 0.

The four main cities where players gathered were basically larger versions of the Beginner’s Village. The duration of time between Level 60 and 80 was basically a grace period for players to select a Faction. One could still opt to not choose a Faction during this period. However, after one has reached Level 80, one would not be able to level up unless the player chooses a Faction. The level of players in neutral Factions would also be capped at 90. Only players who were part of the Light and Dark Factions could get to Level 100.

After reaching Level 80, players would slowly leave the four main cities and enter their respective Faction zones. This would be the moment the game really began.

The “The Abyss” map that Jiang Fei was currently on was obviously a part of the vast free combat zone, but it was under the Dark Faction’s control.
