567 Wizard Union

The map of Land of Choice was not considered too big, as when millions of players flooded into it, it began to feel cramped.

Since no on-the-spot resurrections were allowed within Land of Choice, bodies upon bodies were constantly sent out of the map. All eight hundred members of the Huashan Sect were now in a shout-fest. The Cat that Sings was going strong initially. She had utilized her Stealth to carry out plenty of sneak attacks to murder over a thousand players. However, once she heard the false warnings of the Huashan Sect, she trod more carefully, and as a result, tragedy struck. With one hand still covering her behind, she turned around to address her 'enemy'; but there was no one there. On the other hand, there were foes in front of her, and they unleashed dozens of bucket-thick thunderbolts onto her skull, killing her on the spot.

The Cat that Sings was fuming. "F*ck you p*ssies! What are all of you randomly shouting for?"

Scumbag Wang joined her in her chastising. "Motherf*ckers! Why are all of you simply shouting? What did I teach you last time? Couldn't you show more of your intellect?"

"Leader Scum, what are you on about?" One of Scumbag Wang's subordinates privately messaged him.

"It seems that Sister Cat has accidentally farted while we're flattering her. In order to cover up this far, I …"

"Understood." The subordinate expressed his enlightenment.

After expending monumental effort, Unending Unmatched finally returned to the eastern corner, reuniting with Li Yi and the others. Unlike the last time though, he would no longer run off on his own and would instead stick with the main force, inching closer to the Teleportation Sphere bit by bit.

When Li Yi's party was about a hundred meters from a Teleportation Sphere, several hundreds of Ice Howls appeared once again and battered the main tanks that composed the party's frontline. The main tanks' HP rapidly decreased, and after determining that they could not hold out for much longer, they made a tactical retreat.

A platoon of Wizards was gathered on the left of the Teleportation Sphere. They were the ones responsible for casting the Ice Howls.

"Boss, the opponent's firepower is too strong! We can't get close." Mad Dragon wiped off his sweat as he sat and recovered on the ground.

Li Yi squinted ahead, and he noticed that their national emblem was a silver cross. It was an emblem that he had never seen before, as it was only recently implemented by Milky Way Star after he had claimed the throne.

Li Yi carefully inspected them, but he quickly shook his head. All seven hundred or so Wizards were new to him, and he did not recognize a single one of them.

"Ice Howl has a high projectile speed, and its duration is pretty long. Also, there's a Light Priest behind them who's providing support, and that makes our task of taking them down even harder."

There were around seven hundred Wizards, and all of them had cast a shield. From the looks of things, the battalion of players was pretty high leveled.

"They're not pushing forward and they're falling back. All they're doing is to camp that area and prevent anyone else from approaching the Teleportation Spheres. F*cking hell, these scumbags," spat Mad Dragon angrily. His HP was back to full and he was on his feet again.

Li Yi turned around to question Ouyang Qian. "Qian'er, do you know them?"

Ouyang Qian shook her head. "I don't. However, I do know their organization's name. It should be — Wizard Union."

"Wizard Union?" Li Yi paused for a moment. He seemed to remember hearing that name in his past life, but he could not recall anything for now.

"Everyone in that guild is either a Wizard or a Priest. Back when I was part of the Southern Continent, their Guild Master had sent me an invitation."

Li Yi probed, "What's the Guild Master's name?"

While Li Yi and Ouyang Qian were in the midst of conversing, Li Yi spotted Brother Windcloud Nine and Windcloud Overlord leading a battalion of men directly into Wizard Union. Windcloud Clan was a sizeable guild and they had around three thousand or so men. Nevertheless, the outcome of the battle was less than splendid, as they were already lying on the ground before they had even managed to touch Wizard Union.

All seven hundred Wizards continuously cast their Ice Howls. When their enemy advanced, they fell back, and when their enemy retreated, they pushed forward. They maintained their distance impeccably, which made them extremely hard to deal with.

Li Yi messaged Brother Windcloud Nine. "Brother Nine, don't just charge in headfirst. These Wizards are very skilled, which puts anyone who charges in at a major disadvantage."

"They're an eyesore! F*cking hell, they won't budge. All they do is to stand there. Motherf*ckers, they're really pissing me off!" snarled Brother Windcloud Nine.

"Their Guild Master is called Just Like New Clothes. He's a Lightning Wizard."

Recalling Ouyang Qian's message, Li YI quickly identified Just Like New Clothes from the battalion of Wizards.

Wizard Union's Guild Master, Just Like New Clothes was a Lightning Wizard. Because of this, it made him easy to be identified as the specialty of Lightning Wizards was the electric current that flowed on their staff.

Just Like New Clothes had a fair complexion, had no facial hair whatsoever, and he looked around twenty-five years old. He was standing within the crowd of Wizards and he wore a poker face as he unleashed his lightning spells. Unlike his subordinates who were casting Ice Howls, his lightning spells had extremely high damage. As such, someone was bound to die whenever he attacked.

"Just Like New Clothes… What a familiar name. Dragon-slaying… Err no, Dragon Rider?"

Li Yi could not shake off the notion that Just Like New Clothes sounded familiar, and it was just that he could not remember.

Li Yi gently shook his Orange Quality Bow, revealing the true form of the plain looking bow. It morphed into the form of a phoenix that was about to take flight, and it was glimmering from top to bottom. It was truly a breath-taking sight.

Since there were too many enemies around him, Li Yi made sure to conceal his bow's true form all this time. However, now that he required the Orange Quality Bow's true strength, he could not conceal it any longer.

"God Mode!"

Following Li Yi's loud cry, Hunter Goddess appeared behind him. With her hands on his waist, she lifted him up.

Unending Unmatched shouted as he stood in front of Li Yi. "Protect the Guild Master!"

Mad Dragon came rushing over. He guarded Li Yi's rear and he sacrificed his own body to protect Li Yi from harm.

The Orange Quality Bow was already eye-catching enough, but now that Hunter Goddess appeared, it was just plain overkill. Fame could be a double-edged sword, and now that Li Yi had brought out such an eye-catching weapon, it would be hard for him to go unnoticed. He was practically asking for the others to target him…

Li Yi was now encompassed by the main tanks from his own guild. They were trying to protect him. Seizing the chance that he had been provided, Li Yi pulled back his Orange Quality Bow and aimed directly at Just Like New Clothes.

They were over 120 meters apart, and the Lightning Wizard, Just Like New Clothes could not attack Li Yi. However, the same could not be said for Li Yi could still attack Just Like New Clothes!

"Powered-up Arrow!"

There were six arrows in total, and at present, the Powered-up Arrow was barreling towards Just Like New Clothes whereas the other five Overlord Arrows were hurtling at separate directions towards the crowd of Wizards. In order to trigger the follow-up special effect, Li Yi needed to score a Skill Interruption.

The distance of 120 meters was indeed quite long. Though Li Yi was sure that his aim was accurate, he did not have any confidence in landing a Skill Interruption.

Once Li Yi fired his arrows, he immediately thundered, "Sky Vagabonds! Mana Infusion!"

At that instant, the five Overlord Arrows had found their mark. Li Yi had targeted the Wizards who were casting shields, and as for the rationale behind his actions, it was obviously done to trigger Skill Interruptions.

Out of the five Overlord Arrows, four of which had landed directly onto Wizards who were casting shields and successfully triggered Skill Interruption.

Overlord Arrow's explosion radius was from 30 to 50 yards, and at least half of the seven hundred or so Wizards were caught within this area. The four arrows exploded in a chain reaction, and the Wizards — who had low HP and DEF — were instantly decimated.

The aftermath of the six arrows had left the battalion of around seven hundred Wizards with only half of them remaining.

Once the Cat that Sings witnessed the scene, she immediately cursed, "F*ck, what a beast!"

She had already spotted Li Yi long ago and she was prancing around earlier so that she could kill Li Yi once the opportunity presents itself.

Just Like New Clothes was still alive. He had escaped Overlord Arrow's blast radius and had made it out unscathed, surviving the ordeal.

However, the moment he glanced at Li Yi; his expression froze.

After reciting a short chant, Hunter Goddess gave a low shout and sped upwards.

When they were in Land of Choice, players were unable to use any mounts. As such, no players could take to the sky except for the Vagabonds.

Several hundred projectiles hurtled towards Li Yi, but he easily evaded them. He ascended higher and higher, and in a blink of an eye, he was already out of the players' attack range.

Li Yi aimed directly downwards and fired a quick succession of six arrows, depleting his mana that was just recently replenished.

Six Overlord Arrows were shot in the shape of a plum blossom. Their target… was still Just Like New Clothes!
