773 The Most Low-Profile First Kill

The sky and the ground were both covered in flames. As Li Yi laid on the ground, he could not see anything but fire.

Divine Flames' Descent was Qian'er's Territory Skill. It was also the strongest Territory Skill for a Fire Wizard. The Divine Flame was much stronger than Hellfire as it had the capability to burn everything.

A Wizard's AoE skill had always been unrivaled and Divine Flames' Descent had pushed this to its very limit.

The fiery fire kept burning on as the air chirped on. The great earth below their feet bellowed and what was originally damp ground was dried up. It had even started to crack up as well.

The Divine Flames' Descent was overwhelmingly powerful. The only flaw was that the channeling time was rather short.

It lasted only 10 seconds before the fiery sky started disappearing.

That it might be, but it was more than enough.

The female Dwarf statue's remaining one third health one taken away in an instant. The corpse was burned to ash under the incredibly scorching fire.

'Sorry, it's more like not a single ash remained…'

Brother Windcloud Nine was utterly shocked. "Isn't this skill a little bit of an overkill? Who would be able to resist this if it were cast at the Major Cities?"

The Divine Flames' Descent was this powerful. To make it worse, Qian'er Holy Value was on the low side and her equipment was subpar. The damage output could still be increased.

Qian'er was forcefully placed into a weakened state after she finished casting Divine Flames' Descent. It would require her at least ten minutes before she returned back to normal.

The Divine Flames' Descent was not a Forbidden Curse but its power far surpassed one.

As God's Protection buff disappeared, Sister Windcloud Nine regained her freedom and immediately tried to save Li Yi and the fallen ones. She was a Curse Priest. Although she was leaning more towards offense, she was still able to use a Priest's bread and butter, Resurrection and Redemption.

Soon, everyone was revived and the five of them gathered together.

Li Yi said, "We've forced ourselves through the second stage. I think we should be fine with the remaining boss."

"About that, how many bosses are there left?" Sister Windcloud Nine asked.

"There's only one boss left. However, we still have to clear off an even larger wave of Mudmons before facing it."

Li Yi held his bow as he looked into the horizon.

There were only three bosses in the Lostland Instance Dungeon. They were the two mini-bosses and the King of the Earth.

The two mini-bosses were hard to deal with but the King of the Earth was rather easy. The only issue was that its HP was incredibly high and players would require a long time to kill it. There was nothing for them to take note of and all they needed was a simple strategy. The Main Tank would just need to go up and hold the boss firmly while the DPS would attack from the back. All the healers could do was to occasionally heal them up and everything would be alright.

The only difficult part to the boss were the monsters before the King of the Earth.

Those crazy Mudmons would keep crawling out of from the ground and their number exceeded in the tens of thousands. It would not be a simple task for the players to take care of them.

"When we begin later, Fire Ice and Sister Nine will still stand behind me. Qian'er and I will guard them side by side and we'll do our best to protect them. Brother Nine's objective is to run around to attract all the monsters' aggro. That's all."

They started moving into position after giving out their simple objectives as many dirty Mudmon started crawling out from the ground…

The battle had commenced but Qian'er was still in a weakened state. Hence, the responsibility of clearing off all the monsters lied on Li Yi.

Brother Windcloud Nine rushed in and cast Holy Light Impact as he tried to attract as much aggro as possible from the Mudmon. He had a lot of HP and his DEF from his equipment was ridiculously high. He was able to survive without difficulty and it would be difficult for him to die even without God's Blessing. All he had to rely on was his Impartial Patron Equipment Set and his Territory Skill, Impartial Decree.

[Impartial Decree: reduces all enemy target's attribute by 50% within 50 yards.]

By reducing the attribute by 50%, the enemy's level was reduced by half as well.

There was another effect Impartial Patron Equipment Set, which was the Enhanced Light of Punishment. Those that attacked Paladins would be affected by the Light of Punishment. Hence, Brother Windcloud Nine was free to judge them freely.

This tank was amazing. He did not need any healing assistance at all and he was able to play happily among the group of monsters. Meanwhile, the DPS was not weak at all as Li Yi kept releasing his True Overlord Arrows which was able to kill hundreds of Mudmons without fail.

The Flaming Phoenix kept flying out. They were majestic and practical and did not require anyone's assistance. He alone was able to solve everything.

Sacramental Stone Fragment, Evil God Summoning Scroll, and Li Yi's equipment. These had allowed Li Yi's MP regeneration to be 200+ every 3 seconds. As long as he did not mindlessly use his skills, he would be able to solo the entire dungeon with such MP regeneration.

Qian'er recovered after some ten minutes. The two DPS started going all out and the rate of these Mudmon dying skyrocketed…

The Mudmon kept spreading out and this battle was certainly long and persistent. Fire Ice and Sister Windcloud Nine watched everything from the side. Brother Windcloud Nine had God's Blessing for self-regeneration. Qian'er had Awaken and Li Yi too had overwhelmingly powerful self-regeneration capabilities.

These three did not require any external assistance at all. They alone could play happily on their own.

Two long hours passed and these chaotic Mudmon finally stopped spawning. The earth started trembling and cracking and a gigantic mud monster crawled out from the ground.

It was the King of the Earth!

The King of the Earth's appearance was identical to the Mudmon. Many Mudmon kept dropping out from its body as the King of the Earth was crawling out from the ground.

All Mudmon from the Lostland Dungeon were all its offspring. It was the King of the Earth, the king of all beings under the earth.

"Who dares to disrupt the King of the Earth's peace?"

After it finished its opening speech, the King of the Earth released its Earthquake Spell and Li Yi and his party's HP continued to drop.

Fire Ice cast Holy Light Illumination and all the HP they had lost slowly recovered back.

The King of the Earth's had incredibly high DEF but it lacked any lethal capability. Hence, players would not die when fighting against it as long as they maintained their HP above 50%.

All they needed was a healer to ensure all the party's HP was above 50% as it was a simple task. It was so simple that it did not require players to consider which skill to combo with and all they needed to do was to heal the party every once in a while.

The King of the Earth's HP capped at six hundred million and it had turned into a huge sandbag in the face of Li Yi and his party. Ultimately, Sister Windcloud Nine could not help but join in the battle and summoned the Tuhr Sacred Sword as well.

The Tuhr Sacred Sword was unrivaled when it came to gaining aggro. Even Brother Windcloud Nine was no match for it. Hence, the Tuhr Sacred Sword was only able to show off for a short time before it pulled the King of the Earth's aggro over. However, Sister Windcloud Nine naively held onto the sword with both of her hands by her chest and soon fell to the ground…

Soon, the King of the Earth had its first kill!

Brother Windcloud Nine asked Li Yi, "Should we announce the first kill?"

Li Yi checked the number of people currently inside the Lostland Dungeon and smiled while shaking his head.

"Let's not announce it this time. Let's cancel everything."

This was the first-ever and most low-profile first kill in the Ancient King Series Dungeon.

Li Yi had hidden all of the announcements in this Instance Dungeon so that the World Channel would not be able to see it.

Hence, this incident had been recorded in the Pantheon Hall of Fame!

The reward messages appeared one after the other. The Lostland was Ancient King's last five-man party dungeon. The rewards were naturally loaded for clearing the last stage.

What happened next made Li Yi even happier. The Emperor's Sword flew out automatically and hovered above the King of the Earth's corpse. Soon, the King of the Earth's soul appeared as it submitted towards the Emperor's Sword.

They had fully collected twenty Emperor Imprints from all twenty dungeons from Ancient King Series Dungeon.

Li Yi just needed to clear another five-man dungeon and he would be able to ascend to the throne.

The Lostland Instance Dungeon was now completed!

An extremely long and tedious dungeon such as this one was best to finish in one try. It would be devastating to do it every day to find out that it did not appear.

"The King of the Earth Equipment Set was the strongest equipment set in all five-man dungeons. Feel free to collect the shards if you're interested in making this set."

None of them moved up as they were not interested at all.

The Lostland Instance Dungeon was a long one and it could not be cleared alone. Only a handful of players were able to get this equipment set from this dungeon eight years ago in his past life.

"We're leaving and happy to get the first kill. We'll leave the shards to you guys haha."

Brother Windcloud Nine waved at Sister Windcloud Nine as the couple left the area.

"Qian'er, Ice. Why don't you guys go and loot it?"

"Other than equipment shards, what else will the King of the Earth drop?"

"Divine weapons."

"Are you serious?"

"Why don't you loot it to find out."

Qian'er moved forward to loot the corpse. A ring reverberated as the Virtual Inventory Pane appeared. There were only two slots and three equipment shards.

This luck was much worse than Li Yi's…

Qian'er's face turned red. "Uhm, there's no divine weapon."

"It's only natural if you're unlucky." Li Yi burst into laughter.

All of the Ancient King Series Dungeon's bosses would drop the equipment shards. Furthermore, there was a very slight chance of dropping unique items. The Magic Cloud Mount which Qian'er obtained from City in the Sky Dungeon was one of these items.

Since they had already obtained the first kill in the dungeon, the monsters inside had stopped spawning. However, Li Yi was not in a hurry to leave as he started chatting with Qian're and Fire Ice inside the dungeon.

Fire Ice and Qian'er were in the dark and only Li Yi himself knew what his intention was. He wanted to let Tyrant Sword King the Fifth fight a little bit longer…

Li Yi was able to see what Tyrant Sword King the Fifth said in the World Channel.

"He's stopped posting for a long time and he'd yet to leave the dungeon. Did he really find a Main Tank strong enough to win against the Mudman?" Li Yi was incredibly curious.

Meanwhile, at another Lostland Dungeon, the boss Mudman fell to the ground. The legendary Summoner, The Mountain laughed at Tyrant Sword King the Fifth as he reached out his hand.

"I had a one night stand with your guild master in the past and this is the reason why I'm helping her to clear this dungeon. Despite being acquainted with her, a deal is a deal. I've helped you killing the boss Mudman, it's about time for you to pay up, right?"

"200,000 Gold Coins, not a single coin less!"
