111 Hoarding Crystal Rocks

"Brother Yi, it's a great harvest! Hahaha! Jesus Christ, the treasure chest locations you gave me are so accurate. I'm getting loot everywhere I go, it's amazing!" After reading Chen Yang's message, Li Yi let out a small grin.

After playing as a Thief for eight years, if he did not know the locations of the treasure chests by now, then he might as well slap himself to death with a piece of tofu.

It's Free Down There, Once in a Lifetime, Sometimes It Gets Sad all lined up in a row, awaiting their executions.

Once in a Lifetime and Sometimes It Gets Sad had a bit more HP, so Li Yi ordered them to attack each other till they got to low HP, making the kill easy for him.

"Keep up the good work, Guild Master!"

It's Free Down There casted a Holy Blessing on Li Yi even as he continued to take damage…

Soon, It's Free Down There fell. At this point, the other two's HP was also almost zero, so Li Yi also started unleashing his attacks upon them.

After all three people have been knocked down once, everything had become much simpler. When they got back up, they would only have a bit over 100 HP so Li Yi effortlessly knocked them back down again.

"Ding!"

System Notification: [You have completed Timmy's test, you can now return to him to complete the quest.]

After killing each of them three times, the quest has been completed.

"Guild Leader, are we done already? I still haven't had enough," urged Sometimes It Gets Sad.

It's Free Down There followed up, "Yeah! Again, again! Let's continue!"

"All of you get 500 Gold Coins each and you can each choose one gold equipment from the guild inventory."

He did not expect the quest to finish so quickly, so Li Yi on a whim took out another 1500 Gold Coins as a reward for them.

"Guild Master, you're so mighty!"

"Guild Master, you're so dreamy!"

"Guild Master, you're so mighty and dreamy!"

The three stooges cheerfully left.

Li Yi proceeded to turn in the quest.

"You have completed my test for you, I now truly believe that you and I are the same, surely you don't want to be like this anymore?"

Timmy's suspicions towards Li Yi had now vanished as he continued to tell his tragic story.

Originally Timmy was just an ordinary Human boy, till one day he met a Man in Black in the outskirts of Shattered Frost City and got bitten by him, turning his life into a living nightmare.

Every time there was a full moon, he would turn into a monster, getting the urge to go and attack anyone he sees. However, at this point, he still had not killed anyone yet.

He despised the Man in Black who bit him, so the quest he had for Li Yi was to accompany him to the outskirts of Shattered Frost City to find the Man in Black, and kill him off.

Timmy was leading the way with Li Yi following behind, as they both left Shattered Frost City.

The Evil Man in Black was a Special Green Name Boss. He would only spawn after Timmy gave out the quest. He had 50,000 HP and a strong ATK. If you could not kill him within five minutes, he would escape, causing the mission to fail.

"I'm willing to bet that if we kill off that evil bastard, the curses on our bodies will vanish."

Wielding a dagger, Timmy carefully trod forward.

Li Yi summoned a Weak Tortoise. He had no choice when the master was Weak, his pet would also be inflicted with the Weak status.

Timmy stopped in his tracks and screeched out,"Over there, that evil… Bastard," pointing at the Man in Black.

A Man in Black that looked exactly like a Cursing Disciple appeared next to the moat. He was walking towards them.

"Cute little Timmy, have you finally decided to join us?" The Man in Black suddenly paused. Pointing at Li Yi, he asked, "Who is he?"

The Ironback Tortoise slowly crawled over, activating Stomp and Taunt.

Even with the Weak Status, its HP was still more than 1,000 points, he could still tank hits for quite a while.

Li Yi drew his bow and fired, whilst Timmy lunged forward, slashing furiously with his dagger.

Li Yi's ATK was pitiful, even a critical hit would only damage for about 30 HP. Furthermore, this quest did not allow for external help. If outsiders did help, the Man in Black would automatically escape.

Whether they could defeat him was all up to Timmy now.

Although the dagger that Timmy was wielding looked like a toy, with every strike, he could dish out more than 1,000 points of damage. If he gets a critical hit, it could even reach up to 2,000 points or more. In face of such numbers, Li Yi had completely become the support.

Li Yi's goal was simple, he just had to focus on pulling aggro, allowing Timmy to safely deal damage.

This quest was available as early as Level 15, but because Timmy was a glass cannon due to the fact that he could not even withstand three hits from the Man in Black. The fact that you could not get others to help caused a lot of players to attempt this quest only after they have hit Level 60. At that point, they would be using scrolls and potions, coupled with maxing out their respective classes' Buff statuses. It would be a walk in the park no matter what class you play as.

Li Yi had already given up on attacking. Drinking an Intermediate-Level Mana Potion, he focused on healing the Ironback Tortoise.

Archers did not have any self-heals, but they do have an Innate Ability, Heal Pet. This skill was very strong, as the amount it healed is based on the Archer's attributes, in other words, the stronger the Archer, the higher the amount of HP the pet heals.

After they dealt about 40,000 points of damage, the Ironback Tortoise finally fell to the ground. Li Yi immediately used Camouflage to break away from combat and summoned Mutated Little Wild Boar as quickly as he could.

Mutated Little Wild Boar's aggro-pulling capability was even better than the Ironback Tortoise, allowing Timmy to attack with his dagger even more. Finally, the Man in Black let out a scream of agony, dropping to the ground while grabbing his chest.

At this time, black smoke started leaking from the pores of his body, dispersing with the wind…

"I've returned to normal, hahaha, I've returned to normal." Timmy leaped up happily. As he turned back to look at Li Yi, however, he instantly cowered in fear.

This was because he saw that Li Yi was still in his Red Name Weak State.

After completing Timmy's mission, it would remove 100 Sin Points. Killing one person meant one point, and you will turn into a Red Name after accumulating five points.

As long as you have not killed over 100 people, you would instantly return to white. However, Li Yi's case was different. His ten-day Red Name Weak Status was a system punishment. Before the punishment period ended, he could not return back to normal.

"Timmy needs to go back now." Timmy shrieked and ran off.

Li Yi walked up to the corpse of the Man in Black, reaching out to loot.

System Notification: [You obtained a White Treasure Map.]

After completing Timmy's quest, it would save a lot of hassle in the future. Now, he could head over to find Timmy daily to accept the Killing the Evil Man in Black quest.

As long as you are in Regular Status, you can accept the quest. However, Timmy would not follow you and when you loot the corpse after defeating the Man in Black, there would now be a chance for it to drop a Treasure Map of a random color.

The rarest Treasure Map color was Orange. In his past life, there was one lucky player who looted an Orange Treasure Map. From then on, so-called Career Treasure Map Players started to emerge. Players started swarming Timmy every day and night, some even set up stalls right next to him.

The coordinates on the White Treasure Map was right outside Shattered Frost City, so Li Yi decided to go straight to its location to dig up the treasure. In the end, it was only a single battered Wooden Staff, so he straight-up tossed it away on the spot.

Then, Li Yi rode his Crimson Tiger King to the Auction House.

All the quests that he could complete had been completed, whereas the remaining quests that he needed to complete he would not be able to do, currently. The only thing he could do now was to head over and check out the Auction House.

After perusing through the product prices, Li Yi took out 5,000,000 Gold Coins and selected Limit Order Flame Crystal Rocks.

Flame Crystal Rocks were Unique Drops from Pinnacle of the Fire Instance Group Dungeon. Once you have collected enough of them, you could exchange them for equipment with a specific NPC.

When the Pinnacle of the Flames Instance Group Dungeons first opened, Flame Crystal Rocks were one of the most wanted items, with its price continuously surging. At its peak, it was at 50 Gold Coins per piece. Even a piece of the most basic equipment required at least 15 Rocks for exchange.

However, as the Fire Dungeon was beaten by more and more players, the amount of Fire Crystal Rocks available increased exponentially. At that point, a lot of players had already exchanged the equipment they required. So naturally, the price for Fire Crystal Rocks went down.

Starting from 50 Gold Coins per piece, it dipped to around 100 Silver Coins per piece.

'It's about time, I should finally buy them.'

Li Yi was a ruthless man, throwing in 5,000,000 Gold Coins without a second thought. He had put in all his profits from selling the mount previously and his regular savings, leaving only 100,000 Gold Coins on hand. There was no point in keeping so much money on him anyway.

Li Yi placed the Limit Order at the price of 1 Gold Coin for ten pieces. Just a few seconds after he placed the order, his inbox notification sound started ringing out like crazy.

"Ding! Ding! Ding!"

The Gold Coins started dropping down rapidly as the notification sounds continued on.

Li Yi went offline.

After a day, when Li Yi came back online, his inbox notifications was still ringing out occasionally. Walking into the Auction House, he saw that there was still more than half of the 5,000,000 Gold Coins left.

[Continue buying.]

No changes in price, 1 Gold Coin for ten pieces, unlimited purchase.

Flame Crystal Rocks were already considered a completely bottom-tier trash item, the exchanged equipment it gave was only suitable for the early game. At this point, no one would need it. If it was not for the NPCs buying it for 20 Silver Coins, this would be something that people would instantly toss if they got it.

Li Yi used a Global Transmission to promote his purchase order, instantly becoming the laughing stock of millions of people.

Using a Global Transmission even once costs 100 Gold Coins, whereas Fire Crystal Rocks were not even 1 Gold Coin per piece.

"Is this guy a retard? Did the money destroy his brain?"

"Holy f*ck, spamming five Global Transmissions in a row, rich idiots are everywhere…"

"I think someone dropped him on his head when he was a kid. Sigh, if you needed Fire Crystal Rocks, you could've just told me. I could even just have given it to you for free. What a waste of money, bro."

Li Yi Ignored the insults and the mockery, but at the end of the day, his advertisement earned the desired effect. More and more players flooded into the Auction House, holding Fire Crystal Rocks.

"Ice, do you have any spare money on hand? A few dozens of thousands? Not bad not bad, come to the Auction House and place a Limit Order for Fire Crystal Rocks at 1 Gold Coin for ten pieces."

"Fatty, take some time off to come to the Auction House and use a Limit Order to buy Fire Crystal Rocks for 1 Gold coin for ten pieces."

Li Yi was not satisfied with just buying it by himself. He started roping all of his friends in, asking them to join in on the fun.

"These things are trash, wouldn't we make a loss if we buy them?"

"If you trust me, then buy them, if not, then so be it, ha. However, let me remind you all of something, I, Darkwing, will never do business at a loss."

Fire Ice and Chen Yang were the easiest to sway. They just took out their money to buy Fire Crystal Rocks, no questions asked. As for the others, some believed him while others did not. Li Yi did not push the matter It was their loss.

"Guild Master Fox, I heard a rumor that recently Fire Crystal Rocks prices are about to soar. How about it? You interested in acquiring some stock?"

"Brother wants to trade Fire Crystal Rocks? This stuff... seems to be useless though."

"Ignore that fact, I'm just asking you if you're interested in buying some."

"I'll put in 500,000, how 'bout that?"

"At least 5,000,000, if you're not down for it, I'll just get someone else."

"...Err, let me think about it a bit."

"Brother Dark Wing, you still there? How about I put in 1,000,000? We're stuck quite badly at King's Dungeon, so I really can't fork out that much now."

"Brother Dark Wing? Brother Dark Wing? Say something please, don't leave big brother hanging over here."

"Ok, 500,000,000, I'll do it!"

"That's the spirit." Li Yi finally replied.

The number of people online on King of Pantheon was too high. If you wanted to hoard any type of item, you would need a large amount of money. Of course, even if you did not have a big financial backer like Confused Fox, he would still not make any losses, but the amount they would earn would also be a lot less. Furthermore, he might as well kill two birds with one stone. Not only did he make a big killing, but he would also have Confused Fox indebted to him."

"Guild Master Fox, I suggest you put in another 5,000,000 into the pot, trust me, you will never lose money on this."

"Brother, big brother really can't take out any more…" Confused Fox was on the brink of tears, he did not want to piss off Li Yi, but he was still afraid of getting scammed, so he had mixed feelings.

"Relax, as long as you buy them at 1 Gold Coin per ten pieces without raising the price, I will guarantee that you will never make a loss!"

The largest and weirdest event that happened in King of Pantheon since it opened, happened.

The worst trash item in the game––Fire Crystal Rocks were being bought by people non-stop, but the price simply stayed at 1 Gold Coin for ten pieces, stagnating with no change. A lot of people tried to raise the price but failed, because no one gave a sh*t about them. Whether or not you want to sell them was up to you. At the end of the day, they were not changing the price.

"Old Beast, notify the guild. Sell off all the Fire Crystal Rocks we have. Why the hell would you want to hoard this sh*t? Hmph, stirring up shit, they're years away if they think they could scam us."

After Yang Xingchen scanned the official website for eight whole hours, he gave the order with full confidence.Author made a typo stating that he "would NOT escape" instead of "would escape"Author made a typo of Timmy's name, calling him 提火instead of 提米It's a play in words in Chinese, the original was 炒火焰晶石, where 炒 is supposed to mean "fry", but 炒股票 means "playing/trading stocks"
