CHAPTER 212

Her chest rose and fell, further pushing her sensitive breast and nipples into his mouth and hand, leaving them at his mercy.

Xander kept at it, going as fast as he could and careful enough not to hurt her. In a matter of minutes, he felt her walls tighten and knew she was close.

Quickly, he broke off from her breast and brought his head down to suck on her clit and hole alternatively as his fingers continued to go into her.

"Fuck… I'm comingggg....."

About an hour later, Jade was already dressed and so was he. By the time she came down from her high, she wanted to help out with his hard-on, since their minds were linked and she knew just how aroused he too was but he refused her help, urging her to go take a bath.

Once she was done and ready to go, Xander held her by the hand.

Ever since they had not talked, only pleasured each other but now, he wanted to speak to her about something important and he needed her rapt attention, that was why he helped relieve her so she could be at her best at least before the sexual tension returned.

"I am sorry love. I am sincerely sorry. I was played and I fell right in."

Turning to look at him, Jade's eyes darkened. "You were played? Is that your silly excuse for ending my family?"

"No Jade. Please listen."

"No, you listen. Asia asked me to search for the truth and I did. Even she doubted my father and I had to clear his name. I know my father would never have for once done anything to hurt a race, a people especially when they were innocent."

"I know, Jade."

"You did but you still ordered his death!" She could not believe her ears. Her hands moved up in utter surrender before combing down through her waist-length silver hair.

"Not entirely. I did not know he was innocent."

"But you should have known better. My fear overtook me and there was barely any time to do a proper investigation. If what Zale had said was true, then I would not have had enough time to save my people."

"There wasn't enough time?"

"To get to the root of the matter, we would have needed more time. We did investigate but it all pointed to your family. Even the weapons to be used and all were carrying your family's insignia. Put yourself in my shoes. What would you have done given the situation?"

His question had hit home. If she were in his shoes, she could not guarantee not doing the same thing. He was talking about a whole race being annihilated.

He stood to lose more and Zale was sensible. He used her father, his own enemy to achieve this. Out of everyone present in her city, her father was the one who posed a more likely threat to Xander than any mafia family.

The idiot wasn't just an ordinary idiot after all. He was clever, cunny and dangerous. It dawned on her that he used one stone to kill two birds while in turn, trying to do the same again.

He was allowing his enemies to end themselves without him doing anything, only to come collect the spoils afterwards.

Speaking of which, she still had yet to come to a consensus on the fact, or spoken to him about the fact that he hid his identity from her.

"I love you Jade and I really wish you would believe me, if not for anything but for the love we shared."

"Love? Did that love include you hiding who you are from me/"

A sad smile appeared on the corner of his lips. "My love seems to have forgotten that the reason why she was silver-haired and blue-eyed was clearly hidden from me as well."

It was as though he hit the nail on the head for a second time. Jade wanted to argue but found that she did not have what to say.

"But I needed to do that to stay alive especially being in a strange city."

"Yes and so did I. I loved you but I did not know how you would react finding out. Besides, Jay and I… this is the first time dragons are being mated to humans. So, I could not phantom your reactions and we are not supposed to leak our secret out just to keep our race safe."

"Fine. I understand that. We both did that to keep something precious to us, but it doesn't change the fact that mistake or not, they are dead and never coming back."

Xander let out another soft sigh. Even she had not done a proper investigation, if not she would have found out what he did. "I am so sorry but you may not believe me still, perhaps after listening to this, you would."

"Listening to what?"

"Come."

He did not utter any more words and moved to his study in his chambers.

Jade looked around for some second before she followed after him. Once inside, he made his way to a whiteboard and chanted some spells.

Right before her eyes, Jade saw the plain whiteboard change into something else like a map, revealing some points on it.

"What is this?" Jade found herself interested, more like fascinated by what she saw and how it came about.

"With this, I can check Zale's movement. I should have done it before, but I did not. I guess I was too trusting of humans. Anyways, we would need that later. For now, come."

'Again?' Jade murmured in her mind. Nevertheless, she still followed after him.

He moved to his table and opened the laptop on it. After typing on it and getting things in order, he tapped on the enter button and then moved back.

"Father…"

The moment she heard the voice, she knew for a fact who it belonged to and whose conversation that was.
