Chapter 186 - Healed: The Day It All Began 1

CHAPTER 186

The room he took her into was his personal dragon chamber room. A place he had access to which was linked to their city far away. It could also serve as a healing room.

And right now that was what Jade needed. The aura from there could heal virtually any injuries or sickness.

Moving into it, he placed Jade on the bed. Her clothes was already reeking with the smell of blood and sweat. Quickly he began to undress her so she could soak in the water of healing inside the tub.

Once he was done, he carried Jade bridal style and went over to the tub. Gently he lowered her inside while holding his breath. Once she was fully immersed in the water save for her head and neck that he allowed to rest on the edge of the tub, Xander raised his hands over her and closed his eyes.

He was trying to steady his breathing. He did not want to make any mistake with her. His heart already ached with pain and his focus was divided.

He took him some time but he got himself steady and he began to cast the spell over her. In a matter of seconds his fingers had began to glow a bright red hue and soon the colour of light on his hands had reflected on the water in the bath tub.

He continued chanting, putting in all of his energy and his powers into it till every part of the water was a complete dark red like the light on his hands.

Within two minutes he saw that all the stains, injuries, scars and blemish on her body began to clear away and in a matter f seconds she looked as new and fresh like a new born baby.

Seeing this, Xander kept his hands down. His chest heaved up and down as he let out an exasperated sigh.

That was no time to relax, he warned himself in his mind, leaned down and scooped her back up. However before leaving he waved his hand and once again the water changed, becoming as clear as it was before putting her in, then he left the secret room.

Quickly he picked a towel from his dresser and placed it on her body then proceeded to the his room and toweled her body clean.

By now he had sensed that his friends had arrived and taken Asia and Arctic to separate rooms to keep themselves clean.

Few minutes passed and Xander remained seated by her side as his thoughts drifted off with him, taking his mind down memory lane to a day he would come to regret all his life.

**FLASHBACK**

It was a bright and sunny day, Xander sat down in his office wearing a silver tuxedo with his lovely blonde hair left to cascade down in front of his face. He looked so dashing in his outfit as he went through some files he had long ignored when suddenly a knock came on his door.

"Come in." His voice came out short in a low tone but he knew that his friends would be able to hear him quite clearly.

The door pushed open to reveal Jay and Sky with another young man behind them as they majestically waltz into the office.

Xander's brows raised u at them when he saw the other person. "To what do I owe this meeting?" Xander asked moving straight to the point without wasting time.

"Ah, a pleasant afternoon my Lord,' Zale politely greeted and bowed down his head.

"That would depend on the news you bring me, if the afternoon would be termed good or not."

"Oh, I do bring you good news, well maybe not that god but knowing the culprit is indeed a good thing, don't you think?" Xander's brows knitted together as he waited for Zale continue speaking.

"Speak fast. You have two minutes to present your case."

"That is more than enough time for you to hear me and pass judgement." Hearing this, even Jay and Sky did not know what to say. It was like Zale was pushing his luck with Xander just because they allowed a member of the low class mafia group to join in their trade in this city.

It wasn't that he was particularly from a low class but compared to Xander, all the other mafia families were almost the same.

"Speak. Your time starts now."

"Thank you. Lord Xander, I have finally figured out who is behind the ambush that is going to take place alongside the leaking of the information out."

Xander's brows furrowed deeply as his eyes dimmed. He was accessing Zale to be sure he was not lying. "Who?"

It was just that word and that was where the problem started from.

"The head of the Mafia families in Moon Crest City, Mr. Frost, the deadly iceberg. I overheard his discussion with someone telling them that they knew the ultimate secret of the dragon Lord and that they would prepare and attack, taking you guys by surprise, then they can rule over Star Cross City in that shocking moment."

"How sure am I that you are not lying?"

"I knew you would say so. You can send your goons to check. At the port right now they are shipping and packing the weapons of mass destruction. If you go there you would see that they bear their name, the Frost family insignia."

"If what you say is true then why wait for today to tell me?" Xander asked. He was accessing Zale but the man did not give any vibes of him telling a lie.

"Well I knew telling you like this without any evidence was dangerous. So I decided to garner the evidence first  before coming to tell you and luckily for me when I got there, his men had begun their operation."

"But I thought Frost is hosting his daughter's ascension as Mafia Lord in his house next tomorrow?" Jay asked.

"Yes. All of this is to ensure no blame comes to them when the overtaking happens."
