Chapter 133 - Confirmation: Still Confused 1

CHAPTER 133

"I never meant to offend the great Xander," Zale corrected quickly.

"Good. I am glad you know better than to do that. We do not have any business together so what is the matter?" Xander asked growing impatient.

"Well, since you allowed me trading rights in this city, I came here to thank you once again the moment I saw you and not only that, I saw that your girlfriend looked familiar. I cannot recall where I know her from, so I thought to ask her name just to be sure."

"Fine."

Jade smiled brightly at him. "I am afraid I cannot say the same about you but I would tell you my name. The name's Quinn, Quinn Wales. Remember it well, Anders." She extended her hand for a shake and he was shocked by her attitude. "Well?"

"Oh sorry," Zale apologized before shaking her hand.

"Ah, indeed I do not know you. My bad, I just thought…"

"I understand. It happens. We all have our look alike in this world and I think that my look alike would or should be as pretty as me if nor more hahhaa…"

"And how do you know?"

"First, my mirror tells me so every morning and my handsome boyfriend here would not go for any less," Jade answered with a nice smile.

All she did was just to correct the impression of Zale knowing her while still proving to Xander that she had nothing to do with him.

In the process, Xander felt that Zale was now getting too comfortable talking to his beloved and wrapped his hand around her waist, pulling her body closer to his and pecked her lightly on the cheek. This single act of affection had angered Zale who was watching the show-off.

"Hahha hhaaa…" Zale let out a hearty laughter at her response. "Good one. I see you have a great sense of humor, nice one." He was trying his best to change the mood and not seem suspicious in the process.

"Thank you, but like I earlier said, Zale Anders, we have to be on our way now."

"I understood. Anyways, thank you once more for all you have done especially the trade rights."

"I think the thanks is enough. Besides, my honey pie didn't do much. I believe anyone can be allowed to trade here in Star Cross City. Isn't that right, Xander?"

"Yeah, it is as she said. Once they pass the normal procedure then why not. Who am I to stop them?" He gave an hint of a smile to Zale, secretly warning him not to push his luck anymore.

Unfortunately, Zale got the message but was too daring to want to try. He wanted a longer conversation with Jade and hoped she would fall out of character eventually.

The painful thing was that he was messing with the wrong person.

"Why are you in so much of a hurry? I wanted to…"

He did not get to finish his words as the eyes that Xander gave to him shut him up completely. This time around Xander was keen on showing him a part of his scary eyes that visualized his angry dragon self and although it appeared for a second, it was enough to shut Zale up completely.

"Good, I do not think you would have loved to disturb us further. Now if you would excuse my beauty and I, I hope you fund yours by the way, we need to go. I am about to take her to enjoy herself."

"Yes, Mr Warner." He bowed his head slightly and walked away from them.

He did not want to anger Xander any further lest he remove his trade rights and restrict him and his business further.

"Goodbye, Mr Anders. It was nice meeting you and I hope you find her."

Zale turned to look at Jade briefly and her wanton smile before waving back at her with a smile of his.

'Phew! I thought that would never end.' Jade said within her as they went to the elevator to go to their room.

"I am sorry for that," Xander apologized after sometime.

"Nah, there is no need to be. He was just trying to make small talk. Nothing more."

"Nothing more? He was hitting in you right in my presence." Xander complained.

"Is that what you thought it was?" Jade asked. Wow, here she was thinking that Zale was trying to figure out if she was the one but nope her own boyfriend could not see past his jealousy to what the other man wanted and thought he was after his treasure.

"Yes. Sigh, then what were you thinking it was?" Xander questioned back.

"Nothing, just trying to remember someone and thinks I am the one."

"I doubt that. Ladies and their simple minds when it comes to a guy hitting on you. That was why I placed an arm around your waist to tell him you belong to me and he should back off."

"Ahh… I see…" Jade opened her mouth a bit, in a small gasp as though she was surprised by what she just heard.

'Tsk, naughty boo of mine. If only you know the truth that he is my sworn enemy. I do not think you would be able to say those words again. Zale Anders, hit on me, Jade Frost… wow, what a never coincidence.'

She smiled at Xander before kissing him, surprising the latter with her actions. "Do not fret. No one can ever take me away from you. I belong to you and you belong to me. Together forever, hmm?"

"Promise?"

"Promise. I love you, honey."

"I love you more, love."

"I love you most," Both of them said in unison and kissed again.

DING!

The elevator doors opened and Xander picked her up, carrying her bridal style to their rented room. He was going to prove to her that she really belonged to him and make her feel so good.

And although they still haven't had sex, he was still very much concerned about her, especially wondering if he could  fit in her virgin hole…

He never wanted to hurt and another problem was the fact that what if as they made love, he lose control of his dragon side and allow his natural form to show?

That was against the law and he of all people shouldn't be seen breaking those laws.

It was put in place to keep their kind safe. In as much as he wanted to fear his union with her, he knew it was only a matter of time and she herself may request it and when that time come, he wouldn't be able to refuse her.

Another problem he had bothering his mind was what if after all this, his friends were true and she was his mate? What would happen then? Was he free to be like Jay? His life was different than his friends and he knew so.

"I love her so much." Xander muttered to himself and opened the door to their room.

'I want to tell you the truth but not until I can carry on my revenge, my true nature would remain hidden from you my love.' Jade thought inwardly. 'The burden is much to bear and you might hate me, but now many battle just became stronger. My sworn enemy has arrived and I cannot let go.'

She looked up at Xander and smiled before coming down. Regardless her gaze remained fixed on him like she was communicating to him mentally.

He too had his gaze fixed on her. It was like that was the first time they were seeing each other and lost in each other's eyes they wanted to be.

'If only you know the amount of rage that charges within me just at the sight of that violent creature not worthy of being a human being, then you would not have asked me not to kill as per my revenge. But this is war and blood must be shed. All those who killed my family must die in the same vein. I must avenge my parents and my best friend alongside my clan's people.'

With her resolve set in place, she moved in, closing the gap between them as did he and in the twinkle of an eye she had her arms wrapped around his neck and pressed her lips on his.

Xander wasted no time in accepting al that she brought, taking it in and giving her his own in return.

They looked so perfect just standing there together. Two halves of a coin finally joined to become one whole piece.

A combination stronger and better than before if only they chose to believe in themselves and trust each other and let their secrets known.

Before long, Xander's hands found their bearing on her body, starting from her waist, up to her sides and down, then back up again.

Soon his fingertips danced to the rhythm their master played and began to caress her body, causing her to feel funny in all the places his fingers grazed.
