Chapter 106 - Drinking

CHAPTER 106

"What!" Even Macy was shocked by what she heard Jade say. This was not because she felt Jade was too fast, no. In fact, she would be so happy if she did especially knowing exactly who Xander was.

Who knew sex with a dragon would be the best?!

"I meant the next stage as in engagement," Jade quickly corrected her words when she saw the look Macy gave to her.

"Ohhh…"

"Yeah ohh!" Jade mimicked Xander's word before giggling to herself. "Don't mind me. I guess I just got too fast with my thinking."

"No, I think you are just missing me too much that you want to be engaged to me."

"As do you."

"So you do not bother denying it?"

"You want me to?" Macy asked with her other arm crossed beneath her bosom.

Xander was teasing her. He knew what she meant but what was there if he did not make her explain herself?

"Do you want to? I guess not based on what you said earlier."

"Scratch that. I would simply just change my word and deny it."

"No matter what I would still pick the first."

"Ahh!" Jade sighed into the phone. "I do not want to argue with you this morning."

"Good. I thought so too. I would rather have you in my arms than waste preciuous time arguing with you."

"Here we go again."

"Mama mia!" Jade chipped in, making Jade's lips drop slightly. "I want to see you Quin. I miss you."

"Oh, Xander."

"Please, just for some minutes. Be it thirty minutes. I would be happy."

"Okay, fine."

"Yes!"

"Stop being like a kid, honey."

"For you, I can be anything."

"Thanks. Okay, I got to go now. I would be there at 10 am."

"Deal. Bye my love."

"Bye, hon."

By the time the call went dead, Macy's lips curved upwards, producing a breathtaking smile with her eyes fully narrowed and her cheeks burning bright red. "Oh my gee! Jade! Whoo!!

"Stop it, Macy. Things aren't as they seem."

"What do you mean by that? Jade this is as it seem. Baby girl you have fallen head over heels for this guy and you know it. Stop denying the inevitable further."

"Okay fine. I am just a little bit still scared." Jade finally confessed. Macy was speechless though as she thought they were already way past that since. So what more was delaying this?

"No worries, Macy. I do not want to leave you speechless further. Let me finish this work so I can go and see him."

"Alright. You can leave it to me though, I would ensure it is properly reviewed and adequately sent."

"Thank you, Macy."

'What are friends for? Hehhe just go and enjoy your time with your love."

"Definitely."

Days went by and no news from Arctic till Jade was forced to call him herself.

"Hello, Arctic. How are you?"

"I am fine. Good evening boss."

"Evening. Where are you?"

"Sun Star City."

"Arctic you should be coming back now."

"I would but I just found the most important thing now. I have located the man that is mega good in decoding stuff."

"Really?" Just from her elated tone just now, Arctic knew she was very much invested and interested in what he had just said.

"Yes, really. I have gotten him the information."

"What about the seal?" Even in her happy state, she could still remember the most important thing to her. Her father's seal and his symbol of being the Mafia Lord.

"Still intact. I just managed to copy things out. Soon enough you would have your good news. That is why I am delaying my arrival. It would be great if I can get this done first."

"Okay, I understand."

"Thank you. So how have you been faring, Jade?"

"I am doing good. Just ignore me and focus on the task at hand so you can return to me."

"Absolutely. I would let you know the news when the time comes."

"Sure." She ended the call without saying anything more than that. 'Finally, I am going to read father's last words soon, wouldn't I?' Jade asked herself in her mind.

She closed her eyes and leaned against her headboard as she welcomed the thoughts that had plagued her for several weeks.

Now she can see what her father left for her and learn to tread carefully.

A lot of memories enveloped her being and before you know it, Jade was already in tears. She missed her pops so much that it hurt and her mother, oh the epitome of gracious, heavenly divine was hers.

About an hour later, all her bitterness and rage returned. That wasn't how she wanted her day to go but it was what she got irrespective.

She got up from the bed and dressed up in tight-fitted blue jeans and a yellow tank top with her black leather jacket and boots.

She looked the part like she was going to harm someone. The only difference was that she wasn't with a gun but who needed a gun when she had her fists to do the needful.

Ring! Ring!

"Hey Macy," Jade quickly spoke when Macy answered her call.

"Aaahhh…"

"Oh, my gee!" Macy yelled into the phone causing Jade to pull it away from her ear. "Quin, aah... Stop it Jay please."

"Oh, I guess I called at the wrong time. I would check on you later."

"No, do not mind me, Quin. What is the matter?"

"Nah, it is nothing serious. Please enjoy yourself and help me remind Jay not to break you."

"I am not a child!" Macy exclaimed in frustration. She did not like being treated like she was weak. But after all her effort, all she got was a peal of lovely laughter from her friend and boyfriend.

Jay stopped what he was doing between her legs and moved back up to kiss her fully on the lips.

"We know, Macy. Okay, enjoy your time."

She ended the call and went to drink her sorrow away alone. She would have called Xander but the honest truth was that she did not want to have him start asking certain questions.

Funny enough, all she wanted was to pour her heart out and weep from the depth of her soul.

Unknown to her, as soon as she stepped into one of the infamous bars, someone who had seen her on several occasions with Xander quickly alerted him about her coming to drink alone.

At first, Xander was bothered about it. He just did not know why she went alone rather than call him or go with Macy.

"Boss, I just saw her here now."

"Is there anyone there with her?"

"No boss."

"Good, keep an eye on her and do not let any riff rat come close to her or they are dead and you… Well, a different punishment would befall you."

"Definitely boss."

"Good, I would be there in a jiffy." He kept his phone in his pocket and pick his car keys before rushing down the stairs to find Jade.

'Tell me what is wrong that got you there, drinking all by yourself, Quin?' Xander asked himself.

Before long he was already on the road and driving to where she was. He tried calling her but Jade wasn't picking the call. He tried Macy's and she too was not picking her call.

She had intentionally kept her phone and Jay's phone on silent so that they could enjoy themselves and have no one disturb their lovemaking.

Ever since the day, Macy had sex with Jay, the two of them have literally become inseparable and so was their sexual needs. It became too hard to control as that was how much the bond was drawing them together.

Considering it was the weekend, they decided to spend the days alone and have their brains blown away by the throes hehhee...

"Come on, Jay. Where the hell did you keep your phone?" Xander lamented within him and sped up.

In no time at all, he already arrived at the not too good-looking bar. His heart clenched knowing full well that his girlfriend was with those good-for-nothing guys.

"Heavens help me if they touch her. I would make someone regret the day he was born." He took in a deep breath to steady his anger before pushing the door and stepping into the building.

By the time he met the guy who called him, he tipped him and made his way to the direction he had shown to him. There, close to the bar at the end by the left, Jade sat down downing glass upon glass of wine in her tummy.

"Bloody hell!" Xander could not believe his eyes. She had already drunk five bottles of strong alcoholic wine, yet she was ordering another one to add to it.

Quickly, her voice broke Xander from his stupor and he walked in great strides to where was.
