Chapter 93 - Jay's Sadness

CHAPTER 93

With their faces so close to each other and their nose touching, Jade could feel his warm breath tickle her cheeks, causing her to blush.

Things were happening fast. No one cared, not anymore. She watched as he looked at her through his lashes, making his blue eyes undeniably attractive. She wished she could kiss them as well and so she did.

Immediately she brought her face closer up, Xander closed his eyes as if on cue and she planted soft kisses on them.

Little did she know that her small gesture of love would only fuel his need and desire.

By the time he opened his eyes back, what she saw had left her in shock, his eyes were filled with lust and desire while radiating his passion and love in them.

"Xander…" She did not get to finish her sentence when he took hold of his possession and kissed her hard and slow.

His body was beginning to behave funny and he welcomed all his desires as his hormones raged on. In no time, Jade felt something poke at her stomach and knew that he was getting sexually excited.

Technically, he already was.

By the time Macy arrived back at the bonfire, she met Jenny and Sky making out. At first, she had felt a bit of sadness but after some seconds, she shook her head and smiled.

It wasn't like since they came to the hotel she had not seen them kissing, no.

She had but each time, it felt new and a different stab of pain overwhelmed her but she noticed that every time she saw them the pain she felt reduced. Her mind and brain were already getting used to the fact that they belonged together and there was nothing more that could be done.

She turned to her side and met Jay typing away on his phone. Just seeing him seated close to the fire, Macy's heart began to hurt more than it was supposed to be.

He was lonely and that wasn't because he could not get any girl of his choice. Scratch that, he could come there and call for girls to arrive and they would show up in no time but he had his heart set on one and that was all that mattered.

She briskly made her way to him and sat down beside him. "Whatya doing?" Jay was a little bit startled when he heard her voice and tried his best to compose himself quickly.

"Hey, babe. I huh… I was just chatting with some friends that's all."

"Is that it or you were trying your best not to be affected by what they were doing?" Jay did not answer. He knew she was right. She had caught him red-handed.

"I uh… well yeah I was distracting myself." There was no use lying. It was like he was an open book when it came to her and that was something the others didn't get the privilege of.

"Miss me?"

"You know very much I do. Why do you still ask when you know the answer?" Jay kept his phone and turned to his side so he was now facing her. "Macy," He began before holding her hands in his. "Baby, I love you. And you know it. I am going to wait for as long as I have to just so your heart can open to make you fall in love again."

"No rushing? You sure you can wait?"

"You bet I could." He stared into her eyes and felt lost in them. His inner beast had been driving him wild all evening because she was close by and not with him. He wanted to go sit with her but that would make him look somehow.

Besides, the goal wasn't to look like a pervert and freak her away, so he tried to get himself distracted till she came to him herself.

"Okay, wait a little bit longer. Can you?"

"I can and I would. Come, let us leave here." Jay stood up and pulled her by the hand but Macy didn't budge.

"To where?" He could see the confusion etched deep in her face and knew that something was obviously wrong.

"Away from hurt and pain to laughter and fun." Jay did not need to say anything further, Macy already knew and understood what he meant by that.

Without further ado, she stood up and followed after him. They walked some distance away and went to a little hill at the side of the hotel to sit atop it and watch the skies.

"The stars seem so full in the sky today," Macy noted and she titled her head back to get a better view of the scenery.

"Yeah, it is. You like it?" She nodded her reply but her gaze remained fixed on the vast sky above. A small smile appeared on his face just from watching her watch the sky. "I am glad you like it."

Jay shifted closer to her and entwined his fingers in hers while pulling her head close so she could rest it on his shoulders.

"I want to spend each day like this with you. To never leave you or hurt you. To be true to you like my life depends on it because baby, it does depend on it."

"Jay."

"I am sorry, I didn't mean to be all cheesy and bore you with my love talk."

"Jay," Macy pulled her head back from his shoulders and looked at him.

His eyes fell, they looked dark and gloomy. It was like an unknown sadness engulfed him all of a sudden. "Jay, what is wrong?"

"It is nothing, Macy."

"No, it isn't." She paused and after some seconds she continued speaking. Her mind had already given her a clue about why he was this sad and it pained her because both of them were suffering the same thing.

"It is Jenny, right? Their love, Jenny and Sky's. You envy that and you somehow wish you had that, causing you to fill my ears with your words of love because you fear that I… would… leave you too?"
