86 The Problem Childes of Mercenaries

"What do you mean by future?" Hayato was still doubtful about his claims but he was not going to reject it outright.

"I can't tell you about everything since there is no point in you knowing about it but I can confidently tell you that it was grim." Linri was feeling happy inside seeing his con work so well. Maybe after returning to the real world it wouldn't be such a bad idea to become a conman but then again it is illegal and there was 100% chance that his father would beat him to death so he shelved the idea.

"After showing that grim future they tasked me with a mission. Obviously I can't tell you my mission but in order to accomplish that mission I was given names and how to contact them. The one being experimented on inside that facility is one of them and according to the gods you are my ticket to get him out of here. Still they weren't all that generous they didn't give me any money or plans about how to take him out of there so I had to do them myself. Thankfully I am a genius and found the plans of the facility and found some people in the mercenary world that can help us with this. They have to be paid though so you are going to be the one paying them and even doing the negotiations. So what do you say? Are you interested in becoming my backer and hacker in this heist or is it still too crazy for you?" Linri acted to his best ability and hoped that it would be enough to convince Hayato.

When Linri looked at Hayato he had a look of contemplation. He was still hesitating about whether to accept this or not. After all it was too crazy to think that gods really existed and could see the future. If they could see it then why didn't they ever show themselves? No, that was not right assuming everything he said was real they showed themselves to Linri but the problem laid in the fact that Linri was not even a believer of theirs. To top it all off they were the so-called gods of an ancient civilization that disappeared mysteriously. If they were so powerful why did the Togk civilization disappeared in the first place then? Since they could see the future why not stop it from happening in the first place... unless they were the ones instigated it in the first place. Wait this is all becoming too complicated.

"I don't know if your 'Gods' exist or not but I will need time to think about this. The information you offered was too valuable otherwise I would have left by now. How about you start talking about your plan, maybe it will help my decision?" Hayato still seemed hesitant about accepting this deal but at least his attitude was warmer which was good.

"Sorry no can do" said Linri and Hayato's face immediately turned sour.

"What do you mean by you can't?"

"Before you become enraged think about my position a little. You ARE an info broker meaning as long as you know it, as long as the price it right you will sell it. Let's assume that I told you the plan but you still refused it and instead sold that info the government wouldn't that sign my death sentence?" When he put it like that Hayato could not help but nod his head. He knew himself the best so just like this lunatic said if he refused he would definitely sell this info to the government for quite the hefty price.

While Hayato was thinking this Linri was thinking to himself that he did not even have the floor plans of the place yet how was he supposed to talk about a plan that did not exist yet. That god that Hayato seemed to buy it so at least his bluff won't be found out.

"Then how do you suggest we go along with this?"

"Well just like you I am quite dubious about the existence of the Gods. I mean I know they are something and they gave me this ability and showed me the future I still do not trust them so don't blame me if I act a little bit dubious towards you. However I think there is no problem with giving you the contact details of mercenaries that I plan to hire which obviously you will pay if you decide to get on board. This way you might feel more confident and also cut down your loses by negotiating with them. Also a heads up each and every one of them has to accept it otherwise my plan won't work so don't try to too stingy will ya?" Linri then proceeded to give a slip of paper to Hayato. His face changed upon reading the names.

"Are you insane what do you want with these problem childes?" His reaction was acceptable considering they were quite obnoxious even in the Autumnfall RP but there was nothing Linri could do. They were the only names he remembered that were mercenaries, Linri could also use the other students for this break in but firstly the abilities of these mercenaries were perfect for a heist and secondly he wouldn't be able to explain how he knew the others. After all he could not push everything towards gods, that would be even more suspicious. If he just said he knew a couple of stuff people could stomach it but if he said everything they would instead feel fearful towards him because of his connection to them. He might even be treated as a Messiah which didn't sound too back actually but eventually his lie would surface and he wouldn't be able to escape the consequences.

"As I said they are vital to the plan and who knows they might not be so bad if you met them in person. Don't forget if we are successful you will learn the location of Six. If you are not going to do this I think I can still find another hacker for the team my only problem would be money to pay them but I am sure I can figure out. What I mean is I don't need you Hayato but you need me" Now Hayato was visibly angry. He had never felt so insulted in his life before but he still couldn't find it in himself to reject his statement. Even he knew that there were much better Hackers out there, especially the one who erased Linri's family's connection to the Harclaws.

"Fine, I am not promising anything I will contact you in a couple of days about whether I accept or not." Then Hayato left the table leaving Linri by himself.

Since there wasn't anything to do Linri drank another pint and left after paying for his tab. He was feeling a slight buzz considering it was the first time this body drank alcohol for the first time. After making his way to a park and sitting on a bench Linri had the sudden urge of calling Ms. Snow the one who was going to supply with floor plans. His common sense was telling him this was something that should be done clear headed but he had the urge to talk with her and get this over with. So becoming a victim to this sudden impulse Linri dialled her number. Then he was greeted by a sweet mature voice.

"Hello, this is Snow."
