17 The Training From Hell

After breakfast Linri together with Arkady headed for the backyard. Linri now had an additional bandage over his nose aside from his already black and blue face.

As per his father's instructions Linri started to warm up. His mother was on the veranda and she was pouring herself and Jaime tea. Jaime had the Book of Silver Sword on her hands and was carefully reading it while drinking the tea Lyra poured for her.

"So? What's the plan? What are you gonna teach me?" Linri was very eager about this training session. According to his backstory Arkady was the son of Alpha. Any technique he knew couldn't be shabby right? In the RP Max usually made Arkady fought in his half-transformation forms so since he didn't know any kind of fighting technique IRL he could not implement them into his game. But it was different now. Arkady was a flesh and blood real person now so he definitely knew stuff that Max did not.

"Don't be so eager. A forest didn't grow in a day you know. Now imitate me." said Arkady and took a fighting stance. It was the mountain stance the most basic kind of fighting stance. This stance focused on the balance of the human body and covered for the every weak balance point. If you could take the stance firmly without any kind of mistake there was no way that you would lose balance and fall down in a fight.

Linri imitated Arkady and took the stance. Arkady then came and corrected Linri's stance. He straightened his back, made sure that his feet were apart from his body by a perfect 90 degrees and made him bend his knees as much as Linri could.

"Now what?" Linri asked eagerly.

"Now? Now we wait." said Arkady and picked up a thin branch from the ground. When he swung it, it made a sharp 'fwoosh' sound.

"What do you mean?" asked Linri. When he talked his unconsciously rose a little and his father hit his thigh with the branch. Linri immediately felt an unbearable burning sensation and fell to the ground while holding his leg and started to roll around with teary eyes.

"Come on dont be such a baby. In military we had it much worse. *Shakes head* Kids these days. Can't even take this amount of pain" said in Arkady a disappointed tone.

"Don't give me that wise old master crap Dad. Even you would roll in the ground if you were suddenly shot in the leg." said Linri while wiping his tears.

Arkady gave a smug look to Linri.

"What do you know? Right now I can even be shot by 5 times and I wouldn't even flinch." said Arkady pridefully. Linri knew that he was not lying so he did not say anything in return and took the stance again.

Whenever Linri lost concentration and he would be hit by the branch again. Arkady used the exact amount of strength to give Linri the maximum amount of pain while actually not hurting him. To others this might seem like a cruel treatment but when he himself was training he had been through much worse. He was already merciful enough to his son. Arkady also couldn't be blamed as this was the only way he knew to train someone.

After half an hour Linri couldn't hold on any more so he collapsed to the ground. Sweat was oozing from every inch of his body.

"Once you can hold on like this for 2 hours you can be considered to achieve initial success." Linri was shocked to hear Arkady. 2 hours was only equivalent to initial success? How the hell was he supposed to do that? Only half an hour and he already couldn't get up. This was inhumane treatment. He was right though. This technique was designed for Werewolf usage of course it had high demand on his body. In human standards half an hour could already be accepted as outstanding.

Arkady let Linri rest for half an hour and told him to regulate his breaths. Once he was done resting they moved on to the next part of training.

"Linri there are more than one ways to defeat your opponent. You don't always have to be stronger than them. In crude terms it can be said that the key point is hitting them where it hurts. When talking about weak points most people think about throat eyes or joints. They are not exactly wrong but they are not right either. Even the muscles of human body can be counted as a weakness. There are 650 skeletal muscles in human. This means there are additional 650 weak points. Come give me your hand."

Linri stretched his left hand and Arkady grabbed it. Arkady was grabbing the back of Linri hands just between the point of his middle and ring fingers. It can be called the centre of his hand. Arkady placed his thumb there and his index finger was in the middle of Linri's palm. With only 2 fingers Arkady locked Linri's hand and twisted it. Linri's left hand was locked. He could not move it in any direction or force his hand away. When he tried he was in unimaginable pain.

"This is the centre of the hand. If you control here you can control your opponent." after saying that Arkady pushed Linri's arm towards his chest.

"Now do you see this muscles?" Arkady pointed at one the muscles that appeared once his arm was pushed towards his chest. Linri had a foreboding but still nodded.

"It is one of the easiest places you can attack. It wouldn't be an exaggeration to say you can incapacitate your opponent with a single if you control this muscle. Now watch this" Arkady started to trace the muscle in Linri's arm and stopped close to his elbow. There was not any kind of bulge there. With his finger he softly pressed against it. The world instantly gone black due to pain. Arkady let Linri's arm go and he collapsed into the ground.

"This is just one of the weak point. There are still 649 more to go. We have to through each and everyone of them so that you can get a better understanding of their positions." So Arkady began his torture. He slowly showed Linri each positions of the muscles and how he can make them more apparent along with where he had to press.

Once he was done it was already nearing 5 pm so Linri was tortured for nearly 6 hours. He was not exhausted much physically but mentally he was spent. When all of this happening Jaime was watching from the side with glee on her eyes but through half way it turned into worry. She could not imagine how could a father treat his son like that. This family was definitely weird. She wondered how Max's real life father was like.
