Chapter 21 - Nothing is better than enjoying nature

The next day, Serafall left to continue the preparations for the ceremony so she left Linet in charge of Leo.

How was a week left for the ceremony, Leo continued to practice his control over his mantle since he still had to control it to the fullest.

Since the battle against the devils of light, Leo had made significant progress with his mantle manipulation. During this time, he was able to concentrate all his magic in a small area to create a stronger clash, one that would allow him to damage the enemies even more.

Of course, all this was achieved because Leo was practicing the control of his magic continuously.

Unfortunately, there was one aspect in which Leo could not progress no matter what.

The circulation of damage.

If the first attack by the enemy landed on his mantle with enough force, the mantle would break quite easily. One way to avoid this would be to circulate the damage it received throughout the mantle to reduce the pressure on it.

But to his dismay, when he formed the mantle, all his attention was focused on creating it around his body, so he could not let the damage circulate the mantle. And when he focused his attention on circulated the damaged, the mantle would become unstable.

Leo thought of several ways to avoid this but found no solution.

"Hais ... so troublesome," he murmured as he lay in bed.

~ Knock Knock

When he opened the door, Leo saw Linet with a small smile.

"Leo-sama, breakfast is ready," She said with a smile.

"Linet-san, you don't need to call me that. I'm not a young teacher," Leo said with a grievance.

Since Serafall left, Linet began addressing him as Leo-sama and as much as he asked her not to call him that, Linet flatly refused to do so.

"As a servant of Serafall-sama, I cannot afford to be rude to her guests," Linet said solemnly as he looked at Leo.

"Fine..." Leo said in dismay.

Finishing the brief discussion, Linet took Leo to the other side of the house where she had breakfast prepared.

As Leo followed Linet, he felt that the road was familiar.

'Sigh… I should have expected it from the beginning." Leo thought to himself.

After a few minutes, the two arrived at Sona's room. Linet knocked on the door and waited for the answer.

"Come in"

When Linet opened the door, Leo saw Sona sitting at a table with a tray.

"Good morning Linet-san, Leo-san" Sona greeted as she indicated that Leo to sit down.

"Good morning" Leo replied to Sona while Linet just nodded.

"Sona-sama, do you need me for something else? if not, I will leave now," Linet said. After all, Serafall organized this so that Leo and Sona would interact more.

"No, if we need anything else I will call you. Thank you," Sona said with a smile.

"Fine" Excusing himself, Linet left the room.

After Linet left, Leo sat down where Sona told him and they started eating.

"How was your stay?" Sona asked.

"Well ... this mansion is very large and if it wasn't for Linet, I would have missed a long time ago," Leo said with an awkward smile.

He knew from the beginning that Sona was a serious person and had imagined that the young Sona would be something similar. But it was even more serious than he had imagined.

"Maybe it's because she doesn't know me enough," Leo thought to himself.

"I see ... if you want, then I can give you a tour of the mansion"

"Don't worry, Serafall already showed me the mansion when we arrived" Leo replied.

"Hum ... she will have shown you the mansion but not the most interesting part, there are several places that you will love" Sona said with smiled.

Once they started, Leo and Sona continued talking. But what Sona was most interested in was in the human world.

"There are many more interesting things. For example, the phones" Leo said while taking out his phone.

"With this, you can take pictures, record videos, call other people and even watch videos uploaded by other people." Leo showed her the various tools on the phone.

"Oh ... is it like Devitube?" Sona asked curiously, she had never visited the human world so these things were new to her.

"Yes, it's something like that" Leo smiled when he saw her.

'Now she looks like a young girl,' Leo thought as he continued to show her several photos of his trip to Tokyo.

They continued talking for quite some time, at first they only talked about common things in the human world but over time they talked about more things.

Their conversation lasted for a few more hours until Sona interrupted.

"Well ... it's time to go" Sona smiled brightly as she stood up.

"Where?" Leo asked curiously, Sona had already told him she would give him a tour but she never told him where.

"Surprise," Sona said.

Shaking his head, Leo could only follow her to discover where they were.

The two walked at a steady pace as they continued with their talk. After several minutes, the road began to change from concrete to earth and finally, they reached a field of grass. Little by little they moved away from the mansion and entered a forest.

After the brief walk, the two arrived at a waterfall.

It was fifteen meters high and about thirty meters wide. The waterfall was small and not as striking as others. However, it was so thin and long that the surface of the water reflected the sky shining dazzlingly. Also, in the basin, the fallen water created a small white fog and mist.

Behind the waterfall, you could see a rainbow that was wrapped around the waterfall.

When they reached the waterfall, Leo couldn't say a word.

As soon as they reached the base of the waterfall, Leo was able to feel it.

Magic

Around the waterfall the concentration of magic was enormous. And the closer they were able to feel it better.

Leo inhaled deeply and enjoyed the sensation.

"How are you feeling?" Sona asked as she enjoyed the feeling.

"Hais... quite well, so well that I don't even know how to explain it" Leo replied.

"Come on, it's still not enough to be surprised," Sona said while she entering into the waterfall.

Leo said nothing more and followed her.
