Chapter 8. I’m glad you kissed me.

Contrary to the fact that my body had hardened at Altair’s fierce eyes, my head was spinning fast.

Looking back on Altair’s parting conversation, he seemed to be sleeping somewhere else these days. It wasn’t because he was just busy, he had even set up a separate room and left.

I was relieved that Altair hadn’t shown up for a few days, but I felt strange when I found out that he had deliberately avoided me.

‘Did he happen to be embarrassed that day…..?’

As I approached the window with an unexpected thought, I turned my head, frowning, even when I saw something Altair couldn’t see.

Just looking at my face must have made his neck ache because he’s annoyed.

‘Well then.’

It wasn’t that he cared about me, but he seemed tired of my stupidity that day and didn’t want to see my face. How angry would he be if he ended up sleeping uncomfortably.

When Altair turned to me openly, the knights began to look at me too. Pavel also coughed and quietly closed the door.

“Don’t worry too much. You’re complaining for no reason.”

I smiled at Pavel to signify that I was fine, but seeing his troubled expression, it probably wasn’t a very good smile.

“It’s because I made a mistake. I was walking around naked, not knowing it was a shared room…..”

“No, it’s not. The Lord would do just that….. yes?”

When I confessed the cause of what happened to me, Pavel, who had been reflexively trying to say a word of comfort, kept his mouth shut as if belatedly trying to understand the meaning of my words.

As he rolled his eyes left and right about what he was thinking, he asked me in a higher voice.

“Then….. you were naked? Did the Lord see it?”

The seriousness of the situation was felt when the man, who always had a sullen face no matter what happened, asked with his eyes wide open in surprise.

A noble man wanted a decent wife. Walking around a shared room without dignity and clothes….. which husband would be pleased with something like that.

I shook my head quickly, worried that even Pavel would call me an undignified madam.

“I didn’t mean to. I thought it was Anna who came in….. The Lord must be angry at the careless appearance of his wife, right?”

I promised myself that I would do well in the role of his wife in front of Altair. I thought that Altair was going to give me a chance if it was like that. I was greatly deducted from the start by a stupid mistake.

“That’s…..”

Pavel scratched his head in embarrassment as if he didn’t know what to say.

I lost my strength and ended up keeping my head down to the floor, holding my dress tight.

There are times in life when everyone makes mistakes. Mistakes themselves are not bad, but if you run away without correcting them, then you will become a really bad person.

‘So don’t run away and fix it, Nadia!’

I took a deep breath and moved quickly. I had to go to the exercise field that I saw outside the window and meet Altair.

As soon as I hurried down the stairs and headed to the exercise field, Altair was seen leaving. His footsteps were quite quick as he walked, wiping his sweat with the shirt he was wearing.

I stretched my feet more busily, in case I failed to reach him. However, it was not as fast as I thought, and instead, my feet got twisted and I stepped on the hem of my dress.

“Akh!”

Altair turned his head and looked at me, perhaps because he heard the brief scream that burst out reflexively.

The moment I felt our eyes meet, my body leaned forward without a chance to deal with it.

I closed my eyes and quickly reached forward. I could have injured my wrist, but it’s better than banging my head.

But what followed was not the expected pain. Instead, a strangely familiar sensation touched my fingertips.

When I opened my eyes in surprise, for some reason, Altair was lying under me.

I’m sure I saw him so far away, then how…?

As I blinked in bewilderment, Altair, who was underneath me, groaned and touched his forehead.

“Are you going to stay on top of me like this?”

“Ah! I’m sorry!”

I tried to get up in a hurry, but I was so surprised that it was hard to stand up properly.

Altair sighed deeply and raised his upper body when I failed to get up several times.

As I felt Altair’s immense pressure as the distance drew closer in an instant, my shoulders shrunk involuntarily.

Altair’s body temperature, which seemed cold, was surprisingly warm. His body heat seemed to have risen because of the training a while ago.

‘And his body is more….. than I expected…..’

TL/N : Nadia is talking about y know his abs…

It was difficult to look straight into Altair’s eyes, for some reason, when I smelled his sweat and the characteristic scent of his body.

I couldn’t stand it anymore. As soon as I lowered my head, I heard Altair’s voice above my head.

“Tell me.”

“Yes?”

When I raised my head, Altair’s face was in front of me. He furrowed his brow as if he didn’t like the proximity, and gently tilted his head back.

“Didn’t you just come down here in a hurry to tell me something? Whatever you’re going to say, do it now.”

It’s true that I came down because I had something to say, but my mouth didn’t open when his intense red eyes were staring at me.

I finally opened my mouth while reminding myself several times of my resolution, ‘don’t be a bad person!’

“I’m leaving.”

“What are you talking about?”

“I’m the one who made a mistake, so it’s only right for me to leave. The original owner of the room is also the Lord. You don’t have to sleep in an uncomfortable place because of me.”

“Mistake? What mistake?”

Altair frowned. Even so, his scary face felt twice as terrifying as usual, so I shrugged my shoulders and bit my lips.

“That day, I…… took off my clothes and walked around carelessly.”

“What? Why is that your mistake?”

Altair smiled in vain and swept his hair up.

“If it was a mistake, it would have been Anna who didn’t serve you properly. If I dig deeper, it’s my fault that I’ve been holding her back all this time. Why on earth did you think it was your fault?”

“You haven’t come since you left that day…… And you didn’t want to see me just a moment ago……”

“That’s……!”

Altair, who stopped talking while screaming, closed his mouth as he saw me flinching.

“……Don’t judge a mistake based on the attitude of others. You didn’t make a mistake that day.”

Altair’s voice, which continued with a sigh, was very firm but not scary.

I blinked my eyes in this strange feeling and looked at Altair, and he got up from his seat, holding me lightly with a frown on his face.

It was already the second time that I have been lifted by him. It was like being a straw doll.

“The reason I slept somewhere else is because I’m afraid that I will cause trouble. Well, looking back at it, it is your fault. Anyway, it’s not because of your mistake. Do you understand?”

“Okay.”

“Are you sure you understand?”

“Yes, I understand for sure….. Achoo!!”

Altair’s face wrinkled when a sneeze broke out before he could even finish answering.

“Why are you sneezing? Do you have a cold?”

Even before I answered anything, Altair’s hand touched my forehead. After seriously measuring my body temperature with a crumpled face for a long time, he finally withdrew his hand.

“You even have a fever right now. I’ll send a doctor, so wait in the room.”

“No! I’m just nervous, that’s why I’m sneezing….. I don’t have a cold at all.”

“You sneeze when you’re nervous?”

“I do that too.”

“You really possess many mysterious things.”

While Altair was observing me like a strange animal, I felt someone’s presence behind me. As I turned my head, Pavel was catching his breath as if he had run after me.

“Were you looking around the castle with Pavel?”

Altair glanced at Pavel and asked.

“Yes. I’ve only figured out what’s inside.”

“Then tell me when you want to look outside the castle.”

“Yes. I’ll look around with your permission, so don’t worry!”

“No, I’m not telling you to ask for my permission…..”

What else does that mean?

As I tilted my head not knowing his intentions, I sighed as if I had become Altair and waved my hands. It just seems to mean go.

Pavel, who recognized my gesture, quickly approached me.

“Madam, I’ll take you to a place you haven’t seen yet.”

“Yes, thank you.”

Following Pavel’s guidance, I took a glance at Altair and saw that he was whispering to Blan, who had just appeared.

Their expressions were so serious that I could guess they were talking about something very important.

‘Do not disturb.’

I stepped away as carefully as I could.

“My Lord…..”

Blan looked at Nadia moving away with a careful step, and sighed as her figure went away.

“You said you used a separate room because you can’t stand it and you’re afraid of an accident. What are you talking about?! Please make an accident! That’s why you got married!”

Blan slapped Altair on the chest as if he was frustrated. Altair glanced at Nadia’s backside, kicking his shin lightly as if to say ‘don’t say something unnecessary.’

“There’s no law to force a marriage. No matter how urgent my situation is, I don’t want to force her just to do it.”

“That’s true….. If that’s what you think, you should try harder. Like a *peacock dancing a courtship dance with his tail wide open.”

*To attract a mate, peacocks perform an elaborate dance to show off their tail feathers to a peahen.

When Blan pretended to dance in front of him, Altair’s face crumpled sharply.

“Didn’t you see it? She’s scared to death whenever I open my mouth.”

“So speak softly and make your face look softer. It’s not that hard to smile, right?”

“Bright…… Smile…….?”

“Yes. Like this!”

As soon as he finished his sentence, Blan smiled.

The bright blonde knight smiled dazzlingly and the surroundings seemed to brighten up. Altair shook his head as if he had seen something he wouldn’t have seen.

“…..I feel like throwing up.”

“No, what? Do you think that I want to put on a bright smile like this for a dark guy like you? I was just demonstrating.”

Blan grumbled with a face full of injustice.

“Still, women like this smile.”

Blan was certainly popular with women. If a decent-looking knight came towards him with a gentle approach, anyone would be swept away.

“Well! Now that you have seen it for sure, my Lord, try it! Raise the corners of your mouth and widen it! Smile!”

Altair hesitated, but as Blan said, he reluctantly moved the corner of his hardened mouth. But the more Altair tried to smile, the more Blan looked strange.

“Do you feel like throwing up, too?”

“No….. It’s not like that….. It’s really scary. Why are you getting scarier when you’re smiling?”

“How am I supposed to know that?”

Altair relaxed the corners of his mouth, which he had been forced to pull up for a negative evaluation, returned to his usual expressionless face, and kicked Blan’s shin.

“Akh! Are you going to break my leg now because it’s not enough to break my nose?”

“Well, if it’s only a leg that’s broken like this, then that’s it. You don’t deserve to be a knight.”

“No, you’re kicking and breaking rocks, how is that possible?”

Blan protested fiercely, but Altair snorted and turned away.

‘It doesn’t help anyway.’

That night. The Knights of Ailsford gathered in secret around Blan.

“As you’ve all seen, the future of Ailsford is at risk. We need to step up.”

The knights nodded with a serious look at Blan’s words.

“Look at what you do. The Lord has no future.”

“They will not be able to kiss, let alone have a child.”

“It would be nice if they kissed each other. And hold hands.”

Once the story began to pour, it began to flow more and more negatively.

“Well then, everybody, be quiet!”

Blan, who stood in the center of the commotion, calmed the buzzing knights and solemnly declared with a serious face.

“Now, let the first countermeasure meeting begin!”

“OOOOOOO!!!”

Pavel, who sat unnoticed in the corner of the knights pouring out cheers and applause, shook his head and sighed.

“Huh. Why am I stuck in this stupid place…..”

It was very frustrating that my brother was the stupidest person in this stupid situation.
