Chapter 67

Cassian glared at the papers that he couldn’t see anymore, so he left them piled up next to him.

It was the bundle of Elysia’s hair that Lumiere had brought.

He felt his nails dig into his palms, but no pain. The words Peloit had said did not leave his ears. He shouldn’t think about it, though he couldn’t stop the things that came to his head.

After a while, Lloyd came in with Knock.

“Your Excellency, Lady Blanche has come.”

“…Since when did we become friends where we could meet at will?”

A sharp energy flowed around Cassian, and the air in her office grew cold.

Seeing that, Lloyd swallowed and opened his mouth.

“…She mentioned the madam.”

“Take her to the dungeon.”

“Yes?”

Lloyd asked what he meant with a questioning expression on his face. Meanwhile, Cassian got his body up, and he put down the bundle of hair he had been holding for a moment.

“I’m going to have to put an end to it one way or another. Either do what you are told, or threaten them.”

“Even so, Your Excellency…”

Lloyd lowered his head as he watched his master grab his sword and left the office first.

Cassian sighed and moved his steps.

She must have already known that her nonsensical offer of one night and nothing else was out of the question, so she would have brought something else. There weren’t many things to look forward to, but now he doesn’t have a choice.

He urged Ramote and Ryan, but he didn’t know when they would find her this far.

On the other hand, if Elysia couldn’t stand her lust, the worst could have come for her If he couldn’t figure it out on Peloit’s part, he had to do anything for Lumiere.

He saw Bug waiting in front of the passage going down to the basement.

“Follow me.”

“Yes.”

As Cassian entered the passage, he thought that this place was just like him.

Looking at the dark dungeon where no light enters. He saw Lumiere’s figure, who was forcibly dragged and sat on a chair.

“You went through a lot of greetings. Don’t you know that you shouldn’t be harsh with me like this?”

“I know.”

Cassian stepped in front of Lumiere and placed the sword on the table next to her. She glanced at the sword and bit her lip, before lifting her chin and opening her mouth.

“I’m going to make an offer. You do only one thing I want, and I say where your wife is.”

“It’s good because you went straight to the main point. So, what do you want from me?”

Hearing so, Cassian asked in a calm tone, different from his sharp-edged expression.

Lumiere took a glass bottle of pink liquid from her arms and held it out to him.

“You drink this. I’ll talk. It’s very easy.”

As he took the glass bottle in Lumiere’s hand, he opened the lid and inspected the contents. His purple eyes shone sharply, as if he was trying to understand her intentions.

The liquid with traces of magic gave it a reluctant feeling.

Cassian slowly glanced at her.

The dress she’s wearing, her makeup, and her hairstyle… He couldn’t even tell whom she was trying to impersonate.

What the woman in front of him wants is definitely himself, so this drug must have something to do with it.

Cassian felt a little hope there.

If it was mind magic, it might not work for him.

She could have thought of it that way as she made it, but as far as he knew, such a method did not exist.

So, please, let it go as she thinks…

However, he stopped as he was about to pour the potion into his mouth. If it was a potion made with black magic, the results could have been different.

Lumiere was also a wizard, so she might know how…

When he reached that point, the hopes that he had thought he would give her a breather faded away. As usual, he would have immediately thought she couldn’t do it, but she was crazy.

“What potion is that?”

“I can’t tell you that. If you’re worried after drinking, you can order the knights in advance.”

“How can I believe that’s true?”

“I’ll write a magic contract. Isn’t that a fair deal?”

At her words, he flicked the handle of his sword, which he had placed next to him with his finger—blackmailing Lumiere to get the answer and accepting her offer.

The worries didn’t last long.

“Bug, talk to Lloyd and get the contract.”

“It’s not possible!”

As soon as Bug finished his words, Cassian drew his sword and took it to Bug’s neck. He didn’t want to waste time after he had made the decision.

Bug frowned, bowed his head and walked out.

“You’re afraid she’s going to die. By now, I don’t know what he’s going to do with her—Kyaak!”

Lumiere, who sat in the chair, crossed her legs and was sarcastic, had a long, bloody mark on her side. It was in the same position as the wounds Elysia had suffered when her carriage had been attacked before.

“Ugh… You can’t do this to me…”

“Because I’m patient, it’s better not to test it. That kind of provocation means you’re going to die. Be aware.”

He couldn’t stand it as he pinpointed the thoughts he had been trying to avoid as much as possible from the moment he met Peloit in the Imperial Palace. It could be said that Lumiere, who brought out those words when he had a sword in his hand, was unlucky.

Lloyd was seen pulling in the contract with a somber expression on his face.

“You must have heard it from Bug.”

“Yes…”

“Write it as is.”

“Your Excellency, I don’t think this is… I can’t.”

Lloyd got down on his knees and added, “Please think again.”

The contract he brought with him was often used for the purpose of making someone confess. As soon as the contract was signed with mental-type magic, the magic was activated, although there was a restriction on telling only the truth about the promised information.

“I don’t want to waste time, so just do it. Get up.”

Lloyd insisted to the end and stayed on his knees.

However, Cassian smiled low and reached out for the contract in his hand.

He was on the verge of going crazy every minute that passed. Nevertheless, things don’t move around the way he wants, so it’s getting harder and harder to control his emotions.

That was why he pointed the sword at Bug.

He didn’t know that such a violent temperament was hiding in him.

Eventually, Lloyd squirmed, got up and picked up the pen. With tears in his eyes and a runny nose, he wrote down the contract.

“It’s done.”

Cassian signed, and Lumiere, who had accepted the contract, checked the contents and smiled satisfactorily.

As he watched Lumiere sign, he gave the order to Bug.

“If I am in a situation where I am unable to move, contact Sir Ryan as soon as you hear of the location and move under his direction.”

“Your Excellency…!”

A faint glow emanated from the signature on the contract, and Cassian drank what was in his hand without hesitation. Lumiere watched him with an ecstatic expression and opened her mouth as if possessed.

“It’s on the Duchy of Lowell’s estate. In the woods behind the mansion.”

As soon as she finished those words, Lumiere’s eyes focused on him.

The signature on the contract turned black as if burned, indicating that both conditions on the contract were fulfilled.

Everyone in the basement stared at Cassian.

“I’ll move on my own, so get ready right away.”

“Your Excellency…? Are you okay?!”

Bug clings to Cassian’s arms, screaming with a loud voice, and Lloyd looks at him from the other side. Although he slapped his hands away from both sides and ruffled his hair.

“That’s enough watching. Move quickly.”

“But, Your Excellency, the first thing to do is to call the doctor…”

Bug, who received his vicious gaze, lowered the tip of his eyebrows, endured, and eventually escaped the basement.

Only the remaining, Lloyd, was glancing around Cassian, observing him.

“Your Excellency? Are you okay?”

Cassian suddenly lowered his head and raised his hand to rest on his forehead. Surprised, Lloyd burst into tears and called his master again.

“Your Excellency, Your Excellency…?”

Lumiere’s green eyes looking at him shone with anticipation.

Eventually, he raised his hand, pushed Lloyd away and moved closer to Lumiere. Cassian, who was kneeling on one knee in front of her, opened his mouth with a languid smile.

“Lumiere.”

Lumiere blushed and smiled brightly at the voice calling out her name.

“Ha.”

Elysia sighed and tossed on the bed.

Peloit’s words that she wouldn’t come for a few days were true. She was fed regularly and acted like he was bored because he couldn’t do anything, and then she was starved because he was away.

She thought it wasn’t the meal she needed, anyway, though he was a crazy man.

He was the man who taught Elysia black magic after telling her he loved Elysia in the original story…

He was a man who can never be predicted

‘I can’t wait any longer.’

Elysia didn’t know how long it’s been, but now, she was at her limit.

The next time she encountered Peloit, she was convinced that she could not stand the lust to drink blood. As it was, if she waited until he came, her identity would be discovered, so she had to try to get out on her own.

At that, she glanced at the food on the table next to the bed.

He never gave a fork or knife because he thought it was dangerous.

Even the spoon was not made of metal or glass.

“Wait… the plate is glass, isn’t it?”

With that thought, Elysia took a deep breath, picked up the plate, and emptied the contents. She smirked at the situation that she had to do this.

He hadn’t done anything bad, though.

This was enough to make it hard to think of it as a kidnapping, except that she couldn’t get out of the bedroom.

After the brief contemplation, Elyssia broke the plate.

She felt a couple of shards of glass brush her cheek, but she ignored it. She then grabbed the sharpest of the pieces and rolled up her dress skirt before contemplating between her forearms and her thighs.

She had to run away holding Der, so would it be okay to stab her in the arm?

However, she wouldn’t be able to release the restraint ball, so she would have to walk or run and run away, although can she stab it in the leg?

Elysia thought of other parts as well, but she couldn’t think of a particularly suitable place.

The amount of blood she bleeds also needs to be controlled. Eventually, she finished her decision and stabbed the inside of her thigh with a piece of glass.

“Heuk…”

Tears flowed down her cheeks at the pain.

Biting her lower lip, closing her eyes, and pulling out the piece of glass, she saw quite a bit of blood dripping down and soaking her dress.

It was dangerous to bleed a lot while starving like this…

It would be enough to lose enough reason. Of course, the goal was not to lose reason or not, but to reach a narrow border.

Her mind wandered, and her breathing became short.
