Chapter 223 - Summoning Golden Flame

Not only did the Golden Flame Sword was upgraded to a magic treasure after being fused with Hei Wuchang’s soul, but it had also become Hei Wuchang’s natal weapon.

Since Hei Wuchang was a spirit, the Golden Flame Sword naturally became a sword spirit as well.

The two coexisted with each other and walked on the Path of the Rogue Immortals.

After obtaining the Thousand-forged Method from Chen Jingzhai, Golden Flame, the Sun God of the Primordial Essence World, was able to become much stronger in a short amount of time.

Not only did Golden Flame use the Thousand-forged Method to enhance his spirit body, but he also used the Fire Raven Connection Sky Celestial Code inherited by Chen Jingzhai to cultivate and become the true sun of the Primordial Essence World.

All living beings in the Primordial Essence World could sense the rise and set of the sun.

That was the fire raven that Golden Flame had transformed into.

He would rise and set according to the time set by the Supreme Sky master, and it had slowly become his job.

With Chen Jingzhai’s summoning, the divine light opened a path to the Primordial Essence World, and a bright sun shot out of it.

The bright flame shot towards the white figure.

With its wings expanded, the fire raven was radiating heat that could burn the sky.

Its rays of light pierced through trees and rocks turning them into dust.

The white figure was caught by surprise.

It was a natural reaction as no one would have expected that Chen Jingzhai, who was just a Foundation Establishment Plane cultivator, could summon something that powerful.

The demonic beast couldn’t help but cry in pain as its white feathers were burnt to crisp.

His eyes started to bleed, and he slowly reverted back to a form. However, he was no longer a white crane as his feathers were all black now.

“How dare you!” A roar could be heard from the territory of the Sky Blue White Cranes.

Chen Jingzhai sensed a powerful aura and smirked.

The young man charged into the blazing heat and grabbed the Golden Flame Sword.

With a loud flash, he disappeared from where he was, leaving not a single trace behind.

Three figures then appeared next to the crane that was burnt.

One looked at the crane with pain in his eyes and took out an elixir for the injured crane.

The aroma from the elixir was so potent that it made grasses and flowers start to grow on the barren ground.

It was a sight to behold.

With the power of the elixir, white feathers began to grow on the injured crane’s body.

However, the fire poison still remained inside its body, and it was something hard to deal with right away.

“He sure is the Master-Uncle of the Luo Sheng Sword School. Looks like words of him killing a lord is not a rumor,” a figure on the left said. “I believe that was his hidden ace. There’s no way a lord could stand against that flame.”

“The flame wasn’t the biggest problem. Did you guys not sense the wave that appeared only for an instant? It feels like the wave of the space moving,” a figure standing in the middle replied. “He either used a spiritual treasure or a true artifact.”

“True artifact?” A figure on the right, who looked like he was in pain, frowned. “How dare a Foundation Establishment Plane cultivator wields a true artifact? Let’s take it away from him. I want revenge for my son!”

“You’ll forfeit your position as one of our elders if you make a move on him,” the figure in the middle said calmly. “The rules of the forest are set by our founders and the celestial beings. Any side who breaks the rules will receive severe punishments. I don’t want to endanger our entire clan because of your action. Also…”

“Although we didn’t break the rules, we went over the line.” The one of the left continued, “Having your son, who has completely gathered his golden core, attack them isn’t right. They don’t have a sage who has reached the same stage in their party.”

“But the other party has one!” the one on the right argued.

“You can go after him if you want.” The one in the middle smirked. “Even the old bull died in his hands. Do you think you can take him down? I see why your son couldn’t break into the Nascent Plane now. He has a father who can’t even admit his defeat.”

The figure in the middle turned and disappeared right after that, ignoring the angry expression on his friend’s face.

“You should really use your brain even more.” The one on the left sighed as he shook his head. “If you really kill all of them, how do you think that their clans will react? The Soaring Clouds Clan, the Elixir Twilight Clan, and the Luo Sheng Sword School. They are all some of the top clans out there.”

He then returned back to the hill too, leaving the father of the injured crane behind.

It was clear that the Master-Uncle of the Luo Sheng Sword School had held back. If not, the crane would not have gotten away with just a burn.

They all knew that Chen Jingzhai still had another sword that he had yet to use.

If he really unsheathed both swords, all three of them weren’t even sure if they could save the injured crane or not.

The one who was left behind showed a sign of burning rage in his eyes for a second. However, after a moment of hesitation, he let out a deep sigh.

With a wave of his arm, he took his son with him and disappeared.

Just a few minutes before all of that unfolded, when Chen Jignzhai was attracting the crane’s attention, the Elixir Twilight Clan party, which was in the rear, had made it out of the crane’s territory as well.

Before they had even stepped their feet into the demonic beasts’ territory, Chen Jingzhai had already sensed the presence of a being who had reached the Complete Golden Core Plane.

He quickly came up with a plan that involved him stalling their opponents while the rest of the party escaped.

The rest of the group would travel out of the territory as fast as they could.

They had come to an agreement not to kill any cranes. Only injuring them would suffice.

That was a harder task than just killing their enemies as they would have to hold themselves back whenever they fought.

Chen Jingzhai’s party had only killed demonic beasts that were Grade 2 or below.

All of the beasts that were more powerful than Grade 2 were only injured.

That had been their conviction ever since they had entered the forest, and they didn’t plan to change it anytime soon. They even stopped killing all of the Grade 2 beasts they came across.

The reason was that there were not many Sky Blue White Cranes that remained, and most of the Grade 2s and even some of the stronger ones had yet to reach adulthood yet.

It wouldn’t have caused them a lot of trouble if they had actually killed one, but the beasts would seek revenge on those who traveled through the ancient path in the future.

That anger and hatred would only deepen over time.

Fortunately, all of the members understood why Chen Jingzhai decided to keep them alive.

Even if the disciples of the Great Three Sword Branches weren’t happy with the idea, there was nothing they could do.

They decided to treat it as a form of training instead.

The three disciples formed a sword formation. Although the formation looked like it could cause a lot of destruction, it was actually one that was meant to increase its speed.

The further they got away from the Sky Blue White Crane’s territory, the thicker the forest got.

Once they had sensed that the Complete Golden Core energy was far away from them, they used their magic power to activate their magic treasures and injured any cranes that had taken a human shape on their way out of the territory.

When the cultivators of the Elixir Twilight Clan had reached the meeting spot, the disciples of the Luo Sheng Sword School and the Soaring Clouds Clan were already meditating.

The Golden Core Sages were all on top of trees on the lookout.

“Is Master-Uncle not here yet?” asked Celestial Maiden Han as she wiped the sweat off her face.

“Not yet,” Ji Shuanghua replied from the top of a tree. “He should be here soon.”

Despite how far away they were from Chen Jingzhai, they all saw the glaring light in the middle of the forest.

It was as if the sun had fallen down onto Earth. The light was so bright that even the disciples were interrupted from their meditations.

Before anyone could even ask any questions, the bright light disappeared and Chen Jingzhai suddenly appeared in front of them.

His breathing was slightly fast, but there was no sign of injury on him.

“Let’s get out of here first,” he said before using an escape method.

The rest of the party quickly followed after him.

As soon as they were gone, the power from a divine mind appeared out of nowhere and covered the ground where the party was at a moment ago.

A thin fog then appeared, surrounding the area.

That was Miao Fa’s technique. It was a restricted formation of the Soaring Clouds Clan that could erase any trace of them ever being there.

Miao Fa was much more proficient in doing it than Chen Jignzhai as the latter had only mastered the Small Heavens Cloud Forbidden Technique.

They did not stop moving through the forest.

After leaving the Sky Blue White Crane’s territory, the terrain finally changed.

The hills were small, but the forest was denser. The Heaven and Earth Essence Power had also gotten thicker as well.

They were finally at the center of the forest and the Pulao Territory was just ahead.

Chen Jingzhai did not ease up until he had deployed the Mountain Duplication Formation, the Heaven, Earth, and Man Formation, the Small Heavens Cloud Forbidden Technique, and the Great Heaven Mirror.

He remained silent and started to meditate as he entered the Primordial Essence World with his divine mind.

“It looks different now!” Chen Jingzhai exclaimed as he looked at the sun.

He didn’t know what had changed until he had finally entered the Primordial Essence World.

Even the Supreme Sky Master did not notice it, either.

Ever since Chen Jingzhai had appointed Golden Flame as the Sun God, its power had greatly multiplied.

Now, Golden Flame had two different forms. One was the fire raven, the sun of the Primordial Essence World. However, as his authority increased, it would be hard for him to appear in the real world in his true form.

The other was as a rogue immortal in the form of a sword.

“God and immortal. Or should I say that this is the fusion of a spell incarnation and a spirit body?” Chen Jingzhai mumbled.
