Chapter 325 - Thank You, Lord Gahrat

Name:I Hate Systems Author:Overlord_Venus
"These are the reports that Ianon has sent us in the past seventeen days." Grisha took out a book and handed it to him. Among it, five pages of content were filled.

Having rested a little, Compass Carburettor grabbed hold of the book and went through the information.

The three attack teams were familiarising themselves with their teams and working together. The past two weeks were used to nullify their differences and make them willing to work with one another.

And now, they had become a solid team of System Hosts, with each becoming stronger. But, they weren't yet planning to target him.

The scout teams were already scouring through the apocalypse world, setting markers of sorts at various locations that were capable of recognising him, irrespective of the form he took. This way, the moment he made a move, he would alert them of his position.

The world was big, so there was a lot of land to scour through. But, they were casting the net starting from Rhizen. This was because, at the end of the day, the goal of he, as a Slayer was to protect Rhizen.

As this information was made known to them, they were setting up multiple traps around him. This way, when they targeted Rhizen, he wouldn't be able to do anything. The moment he tried to save Rhizen, he would fall prey to the traps.

And, they planned to slowly increase the scale of the net after that. But until then, they didn't plan to target either him or Rhizen.

It was a plan that would only begin after two months.

Currently, Compass Carburettor had 43 days before they all ganged upon him. It was hard to guard against them, especially after his experience against Krager.

Since he was already aware of Compass Carburettor's abilities, Krager put up a strong fight, almost cornering Compass Carburettor.

And now, Compass Carburettor lost both the initiative and the element of surprise. Moreover, none of them would fall for his fake death anymore. They would definitely camp at his death grounds and execute him upon revival.

And worst of all, after digesting the information related to Beast Form, he realised that this Core Skill was useless to him. It was because it worked against him.

After the initial shock, Compass Carburettor began to ponder about everything that he had seen. It made him realise the oversight in his previous plan.

Using System Fragments to grow stronger wasn't realistically possible in the long run. After all, each System Fragment was unique and unleashed its respective effect. And, there obviously were the chances of them clashing with each other due to the domains they were from.

It was like how if he obtained Beast Form System as either a Core Skill or used it as a System Fragment on himself, his Dimensional Space would collapse.

It was because, Dimensional Space was a product of this Apocalypse World, possessed by Shika. And, this was in her because her sentience had reached a terrifying scale even before the apocalypse.

And once the apocalypse started, it was condensed as a second space in her body.

As for the Beast Form Core Skill, it turned one into a beast. And in the apocalypse world, one was considered a beast if their sentience was below a certain line. Beasts wouldn't have a space in them and existed to be captured and wielded by those possessing a space. That was the core rule of this apocalyptic world.

So, if he obtained the power of Beast Form, it would clash with his Dimensional Space. Either his Dimensional Space would shatter or it would be severely damaged, crippled even.

So, he couldn't use the power of Beast Form, "So, the more powers I obtain, the narrower my route of development becomes. If I obtain conflicting abilities, I'll prolyl self-destruct. If I don't wish to do so, I must select a genre and only absorb Systems from that."

He sighed, also feeling that this was one of the triggers that had caused him to experience what he had experienced in the mind space before.

"But thankfully, I have another option now." He thought, leaving the tunnel network from a faraway location where the net hadn't been cast yet as he flew into the desert, arriving at the network of domes where the horned men lived.

"Lord Gahrat, we are grateful for your visit." The three-horned woman that acted as their leader prostrated at the front while the rest of the populace did the same a couple of metres behind her.

Seeing the people, he smiled. Though, as he had arrived after wearing his Mental Energy Body Layer, his expression wasn't displayed to them.

He looked at the three-horned woman, asking, "I'll Bestow upon the horned men the power of the Beast."

"We are grateful!" The three-horned woman shouted in joy. They were already living happily in the place. Abundant food, no enemies to worry about, and a comfortable desert climate that nourished their bodies.

So, they were already bestowed upon things that were beyond what they could repay. Every day was a festival in their desert.

And as the horned men grew stronger, they regained more and more of their humanlike intelligence and began to research upon the power system of the apocalypse world.

And now, hearing that their Lord wanted to bestow upon them a mighty power, they were overwhelmed with joy.

"Good," Compass Carburettor nodded as he summoned Anthozoa and condensed Beast Form into one of the bullets, shooting it into the three-horned woman, "From today onwards, you'll become the Queen of the horned men and hence be named…"

"Gana!"

"Gana!" Everyone shouted in response as the three-horned woman, hence named Gana teared up in joy as immense power welled up from within her.

She slowly stood up as her body morphed, turning into a Haggon as she bowed once again, saying, "Lord Gahrat, it is my humble pleasure to heed your orders."

"That's the same as what Lord Gahrat looked before!" The horned men exclaimed in shock, watching Gana return to her horned men form.

"Use this power well." Compass Carburettor nodded as he then accompanied Gana towards their treasury where they had stored all the pearls and orbs that they had collected in the past few weeks.

Upon entering, he was shocked, 'T-This much? How hard are they working?'
