Chapter 293 - Reality Of The Situation

Name:I Hate Systems Author:Overlord_Venus
"Why…are you helping us?" The three-horned woman asked something that had been puzzling her all along.

"Well, for those that were part of the region under my protection once, I am thinking of protecting them on a whim now." Compass Carburettor thought for a moment before speaking. He then made eye contact with her, asking, "The world is currently chaotic due to the suddenness of the apocalypse."

"But over time, things would gradually stabilise, maybe five years into the future." He smiled, watching the three-horned woman frown in response, continuing further, "And what about after a decade? People would have gotten used to it by then and would even have children to nurture the next generation."

"At that time, differences would arise." The three-horned woman was pretty smart herself, concluding, "Since our way of living would be different, not to mention the fact that we have pearls and orbs in our bodies, we will become a target for the humans."

"Yes, and in the same way, the humans can also become your targets since consuming their flesh could improve your abilities faster." Compass Carburettor nodded, "And, due to how close the territories of you two races are situated, a clash is imminent."

"So, you want to prevent it this way by migrating us to somewhere far away. Is that right?" She asked.

"Pretty much. Also, your population currently is pretty small. So, it is feasible." He said, "And I felt this desert region is pretty comfortable for your survival. I feel like the adaptability of the horned men is the highest among all species in the world now."

"I feel the same." The three-horned woman gazed at her hand, clenching it into a fist, stating, "After I grew a horn, I felt that thinking complex things had become harder. But, after growing my third horn, I no longer feel that difficulty so much. Also, whether it is hot or cold, I'm not much affected."

She then said, "In the short moment I was in contact with the desert climate, I could feel my body adapting to it and turning tougher. So yes, this harsh climate is indeed suitable for our survival."

"Currently, there are no lifeforms in this desert. So, you'll be able to live a worry-free life." Compass Carburettor said, "And, due to the climate, you'll continue to grow stronger and won't be troubled even if some other race tries to invade here in the future."

He then laughed, "Though, the possibility of it is pretty nil as there is at least 300 kilometres worth of desert in any direction from here."

"What may I serve you with, Lord Gahrat?" The three-horned woman got down on one knee, asking with a solemn tone, "I'm not a devout being, so I don't think I'll be able to do anything in that regard."

"You don't need to do anything." Compass Carburettor smiled before saying, "All I ask is for your race to build your numbers as much as possible. When I built this city, I had planned it to house a hundred thousand people. And, if you need more, you can just ask me."

He then said, "Buried in this sand are countless pearls and orbs. I want you to collect as many of them as possible and give them to me every month. And in return, you can ask for anything you want. I'll grant them."

'Besides, when Shika killed the goldfish, they weren't actually flustered. So, they had already become self-reliant by then.' He thought, saying, "So, will your race accept this offer?"

"Then," The three-horned woman asked all of a sudden, "If I ask for power, will you grant it to me?"

"You wish to become my representative?" Compass Carburettor asked with a smile.

"Yes," The three-horned woman said, "It's like a beast's instinct. I can get a general estimate of my opponent's power. And you, my Lord…"

She stared at him, saying, "I cannot perceive the depth of your being. And that's more than enough confirmation for me."

"Fine then," He said, patting her shoulder.

Core Skill—Slave Harem!

Core Skill—Secret Society!

Instantly, a surge of information gushed into her mind as the three-horned woman kneeled, bowing in response, "I greet Lord Spirit, Lord Gahrat."

In fables, spirits consisted of faeries and the likes that often times helped humans. And in ancient literature, there were even spirits that had been worshipped as Gods. And the information surge she experienced further cemented this fact in her mind, causing her to wholeheartedly express her subservience towards him.

'It seems Slave Harem took a great effect on her. Her loyalty has almost reached 200. Though, I guess most of it is due to how awed she is by this city.' He thought, Bestowing her Slave Harem and a bunch of Skills.

She could immediately feel power welling up in her, clenching her hand into a fist as she bowed again, excited, "I'll bring everyone here."

"Let's make a trip then." He smiled, leading her and Grisha to the exit as they arrived atop the platform once again when he summoned the Spydragon. It was large enough to carry the three of them as they took seats.

The Spydragon carried the carriage and began to make its way to the location where they met him. After that, the two women made their way through the ant tunnel and returned to the dwelling location of the horned men.

It seemed the three-horned woman was able to convince everyone. Or rather, since Grisha had convinced them beforehand was the reason the three-horned woman was willing to check it out in the first place.

For the next one week, all the horned men began preparing, packing all their belongings. As the three-horned woman explained everything that she had seen, they began to pack the other necessities.

Of course, they were once humans. And due to their human-like mentality, they didn't wish to part with their technology. So, most of the week was spent devising ways to bring all manner of technology with them and maintain its workings in the desert environment.

Following that, they raided the nearby shopping malls and other smaller shops, gathering any and every item of their desire, including countless production tools.. After that, they began to transport them through the ant tunnel, meeting up with Compass Carburettor.
