Chapter 7

“Huu…”

A shallow breath flowed out.

Swallowing her breath again, the man pressed the inside of her mouth. Isilis closed her eyes at the hot sensation. She was the one who couldn’t notice the man’s darkened gaze.

The man who licked her lips as he parted them, asked her.

“You won’t regret it?”

“No way.”

As he held her moved the steps, she couldn’t help shaking her body, so she wrapped her arms around his neck. His touch was so soft that she stumbled for a moment. Other than her father, he was the first person she hugged.

Leaning on his tight upper body, his warmth relaxed her mind.

Berthas were drawn to the mood. He was brought to this moment by her strange and breathtaking atmosphere that she seemed not there and would never mix with her surroundings even though she was there at the bar.

It was the first time he had seduced a woman, and it brought him to this moment.

Perhaps, the ladies in his home country would be outraged if they found out. Of course, his own uncle, too. He was the one who was most wary of him having an heir.

With that thought, he glanced at the woman leaning against his own neck with her arms wrapped around him.

“What are you thinking?”

“Nothing…”

How could she make such a pitiful expression without thinking about anything…?

Berthas put her on the bed, determined to make her think of nothing soon. He then smiled faintly as the woman looked at him. She was a cute woman. Her words were bold, but he could tell she was nervous.

She was inexperienced, so he looked for her lips, thinking he’d take it slow.

“Huht!”

As he bit her lower lip, he liked her shallow groan.

He took off her robe, revealing the light clothing. Although she was dressed like a commoner, he could roughly guess the identity of the woman from the softness of her hand.

‘You’re not just a nobleman.’

Even though he thought he should stop, he couldn’t. He already knew she was a nobility. She was the one who said that she was a lady, too. Her whole body was hot to the touch.

Berthas could not control his body that was engulfed in her heat.

The swordmaster, Berthas, overworked his body by participating in all the wars waged in the Empire. He didn’t even know it was too much at first.

As a swordmaster, he knew that if it was himself, he was the one who should, of course, do it for the sake of the Empire. Then, he noticed in the last war… He happened to hear the conversation between the Emperor and the nobles.

“Berthas? Isn’t he the dog that listens to the imperial family?”

‘…Dog?’

At first, he thought he had heard it wrong.

“Where is another one who listens so well? Sword experts in other empires do not listen to anything except women’s words.”

“Still, those who are not even Sword Masters have a high nose.”

“If you have enough power, that’s okay. He’s rewarded with being close to the imperial family from an early age. Considering what they did to him by pretending to be weak…”

It was the Crown Prince’s words.

Berthas had known him since childhood, and he was the person he thought he needed to protect because there were many times that the Crown Prince fell ill. The people of the imperial family were all weak and could not fight on the battlefield, so he thought that he should fight on the imperial family’s behalf.

He thought that was the duty of the Imperial Family to the people of the empire. Nonetheless, it wasn’t. The first thought that came to mind was a sense of betrayal, but later Berthas blamed himself.

‘It’s my fault for being deceived.’

Berthas, who led the war to victory, gave the credit to the imperial family and went on vacation. And, he left for this free city. He met this woman in the neighboring country, the port city of the Larchen Empire.

It was a pleasure to see the woman disorganized in his own hands, and he was also delighted with the woman’s cuteness. He felt guilty that he was corrupting an innocent woman who knew nothing, but Berthas thought he would take responsibility.

The face of the woman who closed her eyes and let out a moan at his tongue’s teasing was cute.

As if she felt it a little, the water drops hanging from the corners of her eyes twinkled and seduced him. He was thinking of satisfying his greed to some extent.

“Hu—ugh! Huu… Huu…”

However, the woman was really crying. Because of that, Berthas couldn’t help but panic at the tears.

“Why… Why are you crying?”

“Didn’t I say it was strange!”

He was genuinely perplexed, looking at the woman crying out loud. In front of a woman who was constantly weeping, he was helpless.

“No…I’m sorry… I, I was wrong. Stop crying.”

“I told you! I said it was weird!”

Berthas straightened his face again and asked the woman that was crying, “Are you sure it’s strange? It’s not good?”

“Huff! What?”

“Are you sure it’s strange? I asked if it was good.”

The woman thought deeply at his words.

“…Is it good? That strange, tickling sensation from the inside?”

“That’s a good thing.”

With a sigh, Berthas said to the woman. Was he going to teach this? He was the one who thought it would not be enough for him to spend all his vacation days teaching her the joys of sleeping together.

“Come here.”

Berthas said while pulling the woman who was still whimpering.

“How do you feel when I touch this?”

“The heart…beats hard.”

“It’s because you like that.”

“Really…?”

At her words, he smiled faintly. He was happy when she was calm.

“Of course. That’s why I liked it, too.”

“Still, that’s a bit…”

“Did you not like it?”

She shook her head, blushing at his words. Of course, she wouldn’t hate it. With that in mind, Berthas laid her down again.

“Why again…”

Berthas smiled mischievously.

“I have to do it one more time.”

The flames inside made Isilis unable to speak. The man’s darkened eyes gazed up at her, licking her neckline with his tongue.

“You are beautiful.”

Her heart fluttered with the man’s whispers who spoke while biting her own neck.

“Really?”

“Yes.”

The man answered her question as he looked down at her. She smiled as if she didn’t like it, picking up on the man’s answer like something unusual. He was the first man to tell her that she was pretty. It seemed to be true, too, many times.

Who could appreciate the Empress’ appearance…?

The Empress was just the Empress. She was not subject to evaluation. So, Isilis could not look at herself objectively. She was sometimes like a machine, part of the magic empire. She only existed for the sake of the country — doing her work and going to war to protect the people.

But, she had nothing left… Only emptiness.

She then met the man and shared warmth before learning of a connection between people. As the Empress herself, is this a good or bad thing? She didn’t know. It was too hot.

At the end of her memories, Isilis fell into a swamp of pleasure.

Berthas hugged the woman’s body, who was clinging to him frantically.

‘Man is a visual animal…’

While remembering the sentences he had read in an old book, Berthas laid down next to the woman who was breathing heavily. He opened his mouth to her woman as she leaned on her stomach and grabbed her hand, which was clutching at the bed linen.

“Will you stay by my side?”

“….”

The woman looked at him with blurred eyes as he whispered to the woman whose face was flushed with her excitement. She still looked like she was out of her mind.

“Will you do that for me?”

“Yes…”

Berthas asked many times and finally got the answer he wanted.

“You promised.”

“Yes…”

At the end of those words, he reflected on the sight of the woman falling asleep, thinking that he had done it too harshly for the first time. Moreover, since she was a wizard, it was natural that she could not use her power here.

‘Red hair and blue eyes…’

She did not fit in with any nobleman he knew.

“…Then, are you a noble of a small country?”

Kissing her as he covered her with the blanket, he tucked her hair with his hand.

“It doesn’t matter either way.”

…She gave him her first time.

Berthas hugged the sleeping woman and went to sleep.

In front of Berthas, who had opened his eyes, there was a woman with blinking eyes. Berthas said, kissing the woman lightly to make her focus on him.

“Why are you doing this?”

“You have to let me go in order to get out.”

The woman couldn’t get out of his arms as he fell asleep with her in his arms.

“Yes, why?”

She liked the touch of his skin. The woman then twisted her body as she rubbed her body with his arm, “What are you doing in broad daylight?”

Thinking it was cute, Berthas opened her mouth to the woman.

“Originally, it doesn’t matter if you do it day or night.”

“Is that…true?”

“Ahahahaha!”

“Why are you laughing?”

He kissed the woman’s face all over as she tilted her head as if she really didn’t know. As Berthas continued to laugh and kiss her, she slapped him, telling him to stop.

‘She is so cute…’

He found the woman’s behavior so cute because he always saw only young noblewomen and bear-like men. It ranged from women who couldn’t talk to him, to women who openly tried to seduce him.

However, there was no such woman among them.

“You’re cute.”

The woman blushed at his words again.

Her body was red because he did it a bit harshly yesterday. She still seemed unaware that she wasn’t clothed. If not, she could be a high-ranking noble. They weren’t the ones who wore clothes themselves.

Judging from the woman’s behavior, it was difficult to determine her identity.

It was clear that she did not receive the proper s*x education that all nobles receive. Regardless, every single gesture she made was of a nobleman. Her outstretched fingers were elegant, and grace flowed.

He was convinced as he saw the woman reaching out her hand to him yesterday. It was clear she was a noble. She knew exactly how to reach out to a man — Berthas guessed, seeing her hands stretched out in the manner of a noble.

If she hadn’t guessed his identity, she would have reached out in a commoner way.

Thinking pleasedly, he ended his judgment. She revealed that she was a mercenary, but when inferred by the color of her eyes, she could be a woman from a small country, and although her identity was unknown, it was clear that she was a noblewoman.

She was demanded by vassals to marry, and in the end, she would have chosen to run away. Berthas finished his calculations. It seemed like it would be fine.

“What are you thinking?”

Though he laughed again at her clumsy words, he pressed them down.

“Where are you from?”
