“Is that why you’re sick? Because I met with Jennan?”

Cassian, who had been talking well so far, went silent for the first time.

When Cassian turned his head, Yernia was slightly sure he didn’t want to speak.

“It’s a misunderstanding.”

What he thought wasn’t right.

Cassian was firmly mistaken about Yernia having an affair with that opera singer, Jennan.

Her actions must have made him sick to the core, making him feel that she had betrayed their twelve-year friendship.

She thought he was lovesick but it turned out the cause was actually something else.

“I never cheated on you, Yernia.”

“You’re making me speechless. This isn’t just about who’s cheating on who. Don’t you trust me? Are you really going to do this?”

Cassian’s eyes flashed at her.

As much as Cassian felt betrayed by her, Yernia felt betrayed, as well.

“How can you look at me like that? Do you think I’d do that to you when we have been friends for twelve years? Do I seem like a whore to you?”

The accusations came out of her mouth first.

She tried to suppress them but she couldn’t quite help it.

“I like him.”

She had Cassian’s heart in a vise-like grip.

That statement might have troubled him because that shut him up.

“Look at me and hear me out.”

When Cassian turned his back on her, Yernia turned his shoulder to force him to face her.

However, Cassian fought her which made her wonder where such power came from.

He was as strong and steady as a rock.

Yernia went to the other side and pushed Cassian hard but he still wouldn’t budge.

When she started pushing with both hands, she finally felt some movement.

After a couple of pushes, Cassian’s gasps gave her more strength.

After that, Yernia climbed onto his body and bound his wrists together so that he wouldn’t be able to throw her out.

“Why are you so strong?”

“Do I really have to say it?”

She didn’t back down.

“You are so stubborn that you don’t even want to listen to me.” Yernia’s blue eyes revealed her innocence. “I like him as a fan. I like Jennan’s performance on the stage.”

“Stop saying that you like him. I don’t want to hear it.”

“I only admired him as a fan. I don’t really love him that way.”

“How do you know that what you felt wasn’t love?”

How can she be so sure that it wasn’t him?

Yernia was dumbfounded.

Cassian’s question felt like it wasn’t really addressed to Yernia at all.

She quickly dispelled the strange illusion.

“I don’t know much about love, but I’m sure I don’t want to kiss Jennan.”

“…….”

“I’m not planning to cheat, either. What do you think are the things I did with Jennan? We just ate. We met again later that day so that I could apologize to him on behalf of you. It will be my fault if Jennan gets hurt and ruins his stage. I didn’t want to put him in trouble.”

Cassian didn’t say anything and just stared at her.

Yernia took a short breath and continued, “—and I didn’t go to the opera house earlier just to see him so don’t get me wrong.”

“Why are you making excuses?”

He couldn’t seem to understand her.

Cassian’s Adam’s apple bobbed up and down when he swallowed hard.

Was he feeling thirsty all of a sudden?

“I’m merely explaining it to you. I’m telling you that I’m not trashy enough to break my loyalty. I’m disappointed in you for doubting me.”

Cassian’s countenance shifted to nervousness. “Disappointed?

“Yes. What did you think of me, Cassian? I even assumed you have another girl so this is your fault, as well.”

“…….”

“You said you were lovesick and a cute pretty girl had stood you up a few days ago. Your actions have caused some misunderstandings, too.”

In fact, Yernia was still wondering if Cassian really liked her.

As she spoke, neither she nor Cassian seemed much different.

“I mean… It’s not that I’m jealous.” After a careful reflection on her part, she felt a little sorry for herself. “Don’t make my pure heart misunderstand like that. It makes me feel bad.”

“I don’t have another girl.”

“Yes, I knew it.”

“You’re the only one I have.”

Cassian lightly grabbed the back of Yernia’s head.

His fingers combed the strands of her hair as he gazed at her eyes intensely as if it was the only thing that existed.

What did he mean when he said she was the only one he had?

She thought about this deeply before.

Cassian tugged the back of Yernia’s head and kissed her.

Yernia could not seem to grasp the situation at first but she slowly realized what was happening between them.

She had no idea whatever he was thinking but it felt like Cassian had no plans to stop this.

He closed his eyes as his mouth latched on to Yernia’s lips.

He rubbed her lower lip with her tongue, sucking and biting it after that.

Yernia tried to pull her head back, but the hand at her nape tightened its hold.

Cassian slipped his tongue to part her lips so that he could enter her.

It was hot.

His mouth, his breaths and his soft, moist tongue slowly penetrating her felt so hot.

“Ugh. You must sleep, Cassian! Sleep.” She murmured but he didn’t care.

She felt another deep sensation inside of her as she laid on top of Cassian’s body.
