Yernia’s posture was uncomfortable as she sat on Cassian’s legs while holding his hand.

She allowed him to hold her hand without a fuss because she still had to guide him, but did she have to do it in this position?

Neither Cassian nor Yernia said anything.

When she slightly lifted her gaze, their eyes met immediately.

Why did he have to look at her in that instant?

Yernia lowered her eyes and surprisingly it was Cassian who spoke first.

“I’m sorry that I spoke ill of him, Yernia.”

“You shouldn’t be saying sorry to me.”

“Why not? You’re the one I like. Ha. Ha. Ha. No. It’s my fault for insulting that opera singer in front of you.”

“…….”

“I’m sorry, Yernia.”

Cassian didn’t just swear at Jennan in front of Yernia.

This incident had also led Jennan to speak ill of himself.

“I don’t know why you hate him so much. I like Jennan, Cassian. Was it really that hard for you to ignore the both of us? You had behaved like a man-child at the restaurant.”

“What did you just say? You liked him?”

“Haven’t you heard it’s not easy for a fan to meet her idol? It was the only opportunity I got.”

Cassian frowned in disapproval but he didn’t contradict her with sarcasm.

“All right.”

Yernia felt relieved when Cassian apologized and promised he wouldn’t do it again.

“I wasn’t going to say this, Cassian, but you—-”

Yernia had pondered several times whether she should say it or not.

Eventually, Yernia decided to tell him.

“Don’t utter my name so seriously out-of-the-blue if you insist on acting like a child.”

“What?”

“You always call me ‘Yernia’ so recklessly but that one time you said my name earlier, your tone suddenly turned grim.”

She had engaged in small fights with Cassian before, but I’ve never had a fierce fight like today.

Despite arguing a lot, both of them tend to forget about it quickly.

However, the big fight that happened today wasn’t easy to ignore.

It was so unlike Cassian to apologize first.

It was also her first time hearing him  call her name that seriously.

Cassian’s face relaxed at once. “Did I hurt you in any way?”

“No, you didn’t.”

“Were you disappointed in me?”

“No.”

“There’s no way you aren’t.”

Yernia ignored Cassian’s persistent queries as she sat on his thigh.

“Alright, I won’t call you by your name anymore.”

Yernia nodded.

She knew her disappointment was childish but she can’t help it.

She thought she had gotten close to him but in fact, the distance between them grew wider.

Yernia guessed he felt that way even more once he went back to calling her nickname.

“Ugh.”

Yernia’s eyebrows shot up to her hairline when Cassian suddenly bit her neck while she was guiding him.

Her husband didn’t stop at that because now he was sucking her flesh.

Flustered, Yernia shoved his shoulders away.

“You said we’re just going to hold hands.”

It was clear why Cassian suddenly bit her neck.

He wanted the guiding to be more personal and explicit.

Cassian wanted that on the first day of their marriage.

Yet, she assumed they were just going to hold hands for a while… but that itself was a mistake.

Yernia was in trouble.

“I’m so weak that  I can’t stand it. Is it because we had fought?”

“Just hang in there a little bit. Is your patience that low?”

“I’m content with licking your neck.”

Yernia’s face flamed at Cassian’s bluntness.

“Why are you licking me, Cassian? Don’t lick my neck!”

“I like licking your neck. Can I  taste  your collarbone too?”

Yernia felt like running away.

Sensing danger, Yernia tried to get up but Cassian immediately noticed that and wrapped her waist immediately with one hand.

The way he clung to her was so tight she felt suffocated.

“I’m not stable today, Yena. I need more of you.”

“…….”

“What?”

Cassian kept pestering her and she didn’t know how to respond.

If he wasn’t stable, she couldn’t really tell whether what he said was true or false.

However, if it was, indeed, true, she must do something to make the dangerous situation right.

“Then stop choking me, will you?”

Cassian’s eyes went wide.

Did Yernia give in after his insistence?

He thought he would bite back.

“Yes, I’ll stop.”

When Yernia witnessed Cassian’s delight, she realized she couldn’t turn back on her words so she just allowed him whatever he wanted to do.

Tilting her head, Yernia offered her neck.

Yes, that was the least she could give him.

“Well…”

Cassian’s soft lips rubbed against her fragile skin.

Offering her neck to her childhood friend while her mind was sober felt rather awkward yet strangely stimulating.

The hand holding her  waist also bothered her for no reason.

Her chin went tense and she couldn’t help but part her lips.

A moan had spilled from Yernia’s throat.

Surprised, she covered her mouth with her palm.

“It’s alright for  you to moan, Yena.”

“What? What are you saying?”

Yena fixed her gaze in front of her as if nothing had happened.

Cassian finished his work regardless.
