14 Choice

Without even looking at the Su family Zhi Xin went and sat down on the left side of mother Zhi and placed his left leg over his right knee. Looking at him it can eb said as is he was the king who cannot be messed up with. Looking at how the Su family bowed to Zhi Xin father Zhi knew theres much more to what can be seen.

" Who told you, that this bastard will take care of my family business?"

A monotonous voice echoed, tough it sounded like an emotionless voice but the authority of teh voice can be said to be unquestioned. Looking at her son even mother Zhi was starteled.

Before mother Su could retort in anger father Su grabbed her hand and spoke in a pacifying manner,

" It seems, that Young master took us in a wrong way. We were just...."

" Wrong or right, it is not you who could decide. Let us first discuss the reason you are called here then we will see what is right and .. what is wrong."

Even before father Su could complete his sentence Zhi Xin interrupted and spoke

Looking at Su Ye with anger filled eyes, Father Zhi spoke,

"The Zhi family has decided to call off the engagement and sever all personal relationships involving Zhi ruo and Su Ye."

" Call off the engagement, are you people joking?"

laughing mother Su spoke

"This was decided years ago and both the childrens are happy with each other. Everything is going so well then why? ..."

When mother Zhi explained what Su Ye had done the previous day, both Mr and Mrs Su were dumbfounded. Looking at her son Mother Su spoke

" So what, they are going to get married anyways. And my son is a healthy young man. I dont understand where does the problem lie"

As soon as the words were finished, there was a sound of glass cracking. When everyone looked at the source of sound it was the from Zhi Xin's hands. Mother Su was dumbfounded, the glass was broken, just by hand. Thiking about it only gave her goosebumps but when she saw eyes of Zhi Xin she was scared.

Zhi Xin spoke" The problem is that your son forced my sister. And more bigger problrm is that He did something against her wishes which can never be tolerated in my eyes"

When Zhi Xin gave Su Ye a look he immediately defended himself

" Who said it was forced, it was mutual. Did she not come with me by her own wish? Is she not happy with me?"

Lookinga t the increasing anger in Zhi Xin's eyes father Su immediately stopped Su Ye from speaking further. Mother Su was a person who was used to enjoy luxury without understanding anything but father Su was someone who had seen the struggles, hence he knew that the Su family cannot afford to call off the engagement. While he was about to speak, Zhi ruo came down for breakfast and saw the Su family. It looked like everyone was unhappy, she started walking towards them.

"Good morning mom, good morning dad, morning brother xin"

Turning around she was about to greet the Su family when brother xin spoke in a soft voice.

" Ruoruo, come sit besides brother xin"

Thinking about her brother's weird behaviour, ruoruo did not greet the su family and sat down besides her brother.

"We not only have personal but business relations as well. Also it would be difficult for Xiaoruo to find a decent man later on . How about we let this matter slide and proceed with the engagement. Our family will surely take good care of your daughter."

"Being a father or being a business man, the choice will be yours Mr. Zhi" Mr. Su spoke.

Zhi Ruo was about to speak something when Zhi Xin placed his hand on her shoulder and guestered her not to. Father Zhi smiled sarcastically and answered

" I dont belong to the category of businessman who trade their childrens for business.

And about your choice.... I would prefer being a father over any thing in the world."

Getting up from the couch and pointing towards the door Zhi Xin

" I hope you have got your answer Mr. Su. The Zhi family has already issued an official statement about calling off the engagement."

Su Ye was angry when Zhi Xin showed them the door and roared: Zhi Ruo the Zhi family will be crumbled into ashes if we withdraw our investment. Are you sure you can let that happen just because of you?"

Looking at Zhi Ruo's teary eyes, Father Zhi spoke,

"We the Zhi family can manage any outcome, now that you have spoken, it will be the Su family who should think about themselves."

Getting the hint father Su dragged his son outside and slapped him hard.
