111 Death's Clock

Name:Hidden Hallows Author:Blissfullrage
I look down at the blood-red soup in front of me but when I see something on the table, I focus on it with a chill. Seeing my unease, Enzo smiles and says "Do you like my table? It's made of twisted souls." He runs his hand over the top of the table as I try my best to ignore the faces locked in eternal torment.

"It really sets the... mood," I say dryly before looking back to the blood-red soup. Enzo's smile grows as he leans back and says "I hope the hell hound soup is to your liking." My spoon freezes as I stare down at the soup before me.

My eyes slowly look up and lock onto Enzo's. This bastard is doing this on purpose... I put my spoon down and push the bowl away before saying "I have no problem staying here and playing these games if that's what you really want to do."

His eyes dance in delight as he continues to watch me. He reaches up and plays with his bottom lip as he says "You know, you're very similar to Cara and yet completely different. It's actually somewhat refreshing."

I narrow my eyes at him and decide to come straight out and ask "Why did you kill my mother?" His smile falters a little and I see a look of confusion flicker through his dark eyes. He wasn't the one who killed her?

We stare at each other in silence before I end up asking "I take it you weren't the one who killed her or the one who took my father and brother?" His smile is gone but he continues to rub his bottom lip as he stares at me in silence.

He finally sits up with a sigh and says "As much as I would like to take credit... I was not." His eyes are suddenly serious as he starts drifting off in deep thought. Suddenly, the pieces I thought had all came together, was now all falling apart.

I decide to go out on a limb and say "Sooo, the walking demon gumbo that tried to kill me wasn't sent by you then..." Enzo's head snaps up to me as a vicious light flashed in his dark eyes. "Demon... gumbo?"

This time, I lean back in my chair and say "A large demon carrying hundreds of demons within it is currently running around the human realm and has tried to kill me more than once. It killed my mother, also a Hallows, and now it has my father and brother."

Enzo is so still, I suddenly think the demon has turned to stone! Suddenly, he hisses out "Impossible... Yes, I sent demons after you but only for them to bring you here. Never to kill you... you will not serve me any good dead."

I narrow my eyes and say "Impossible? Whether you want to believe it or not doesn't change the fact that it's very much possible. I fought with the thing and almost killed it until someone summoned it away at the last moment."

Enzo actually looks... nervous? It's mixed in with a healthy dose of anger but I can see that he's unsettled. His jaw clenches as he stares at me in silence. He may be looking at me but right now he isn't seeing me. His mind is currently trying to figure out what the hell is happening and I'm now currently doing the same.

There's a third player... One that no one seemed to know about until the other two players met. Suddenly, bright green eyes come to mind. Tristian... He's starting to make the most logical sense in this whole thing. Who is he and what does he want?

Enzo suddenly turns to me and says "We leave now." He reaches out and grasps my wrist before dragging me out of the chair and down a long hall. I struggle to keep up with his long legs and say "Leave? What do you mean leave? Where are we going?"

He doesn't stop until he comes to a large dungeon-like room. As he pulls me in, he says something causing the whole floor to light up. When he comes to a stop in the very middle, he releases my arm and says "Now, bring us to earth."

Shit... The dude is pure evil! If I release him on earth... what the hell would he do? How many innocent people and children will suffer at his hands? I thought I'd have more time but something has clearly spooked him.

He narrows his eyes on me and takes a step closer before saying "Bring us to earth, Eris Hallows." I slowly close my eyes and take a deep breath before saying "I'm sorry but... I can't do that."

I can feel his anger wash over me and it feels almost like acid is being poured over me. I grit my teeth as he says "Wrong answer. Last chance." I stand my ground and say "There's already a great evil out there killing and causing chaos... I can't release you as well."

Suddenly, I'm on the ground and fighting to stay conscious. Pain blossoms on the side of my face as I come to the realization that I was just backhanded. He moved so quickly, I didn't see anything!

I taste blood on the inside of my cheek as I fight hard to keep my vision from going blurry. "Wrong answer!! You will bring me to earth or I will make it to where you can't tell me no! The easy way or the hard way! CHOOSE!!"

His voice echos around the room or maybe it's just echoing inside my head... "Eris!!" Binx yells with anxiety eating away at him. I pull strength from Binx's connection and slowly push myself up as Binx says "As soon as I felt your pain, Kian started flipping out! He's literally trying to tear through the walls!"

I stand on unsteady feet and say in my head "I'm fine. Keep him there, no matter what." Binx wants to argue before giving in and saying "Give him hell" and cutting the link. I smirk a little and wipe the blood off the corner of my lip.

I still have my pearly white blood... but I still don't know what gift the damn angel gave me. Now would be a great time to show itself!! Enzo glares at me as his anger continues to grow but I roll my shoulders with a twinge of pain before saying "I always did like it rough..."
