It was late at night when Xu Si returned. He hadn’t rested for a whole day. After getting out of the car, he asked, “Where is Xi Ning?”

The bodyguard replied, “Mr. Xi is in his room and has not gone out.”

No.1 knew Xu Si very well, so he pushed his wheelchair to the second floor.

When there was sound coming from the door, Xi Ning was still sitting by the bed and didn’t move. He thought it was a passing bodyguard or a servant until someone turned the doorknob and opened the door from the outside.

Xi Ning looked up, thinking that he was having delusions.

Xu Si came in with his wheelchair, and No. 1 closed the door silently and left.

The room was very dark. Xu Si turned his head and turned on the light. When the lights turned on, a person leaped towards him, and he felt pain at his neck.

Xu Si endured the dizziness because of blood loss while patting Xi Ning’s back and gently squeezing the back of Xi Ning’s neck. He comforted Xi Ning, “Don’t worry, I am here.”

Xi Ning let go in time, licking off the blood flowing out of his tooth marks for a long time, and was reluctant to stop licking at that part of skin.

Xu Si gasped, and brushed Xi Ning’s hair. “Enough.”

Xi Ning raised his head obediently. There was still some blood on the edge of his lips. Xu Si stretched out his fingertips and wiped it off. “What happened these past two days? Why are you in a bad mood?”

Xi Ning did not answer. His attention was focused on Xu Si’s finger, and he was concentrating on licking off the blood on it.

Xu Si waited patiently for him to stop. His gaze fell on Xi Ning’s rosy lips.

He restrained the urge to kiss him and squeezed Xi Ning’s cheek. “I would have taken you with me if I knew that this would happen.”

Xi Ning was still sitting on Xu Si’s lap, and was very fond of his touch. He hugged Xu Si’s arm and rubbed on it, but he shivered when he accidentally touched the wound on his hand.

Xu Si quickly discovered that his hands were covered with bruises and there were burn marks on his right hand. He frowned. “Who did it?”

Xi Ning had recovered a little bit from his absentmindedness after drinking the blood, and replied truthfully, “I did it myself.”

“You did it yourself?” Xu Si was even more puzzled, he felt distressed and guilty. “Why?”

He asked someone to bring medicine over using the communication device on his wheelchair, and gently massaged the bruise on Xi Ning’s hand while carefully avoiding the skin area that had been burned by the sun. “Does it hurt?”

Xi Ning had completely regained his senses. He opened his mouth and wanted to say that it didn’t hurt, but when he looked at Xu Si’s expression, he changed his sentence without realizing, “It hurts.”

Xi Ning also noticed that he was still sitting on Xu Si. He panicked and wanted to get up, but Xu Si held him down. “Don’t move, let me hold you a little longer.”

Xu Si also deliberately held him tighter. This is the first time Xi Ning got so close to Xu Si in a sober state. He said nervously, “You……”

There was a knock at the door. It was the servant who brought medicine over. Xu Si responded, “Come in.”

Their current posture would cause misunderstanding if others saw it, so Xi Ning hurriedly pushed Xu Si away, returning to the bed to sit down.

Xu Si didn’t say anything. He approached Xi Ning and gently applied medicine on his hands. The servant was waiting aside with his head lowered. After Xu Si bandaged Xi Ning’s fingers, the servant left.

Xi Ning’s body was stiff when Xu Si was applying medicine on his hands. Xu Si squeezed his palm. “Are you embarrassed?”

Under the light, Xi Ning’s ears and cheeks were a little red. He pulled his hand back, retreated a little and looked away. “It’s already very late. Go to rest first since you just came back.”

He asked the system in his mind, “Why do I feel that…… Xu Si likes me? Am I being too narcissistic? Or did he pretend to purposely act like this?”

He had thought about this before, but it really didn’t fit the villain’s personality. How could he like a vampire whom he knew not long ago?

However, Xu Si’s words and actions after coming back from this business trip made him think of this possibility again.

The system sighed. “Yes, he likes you.”

Xi Ning actually wanted to hear the negative answer from the system when he asked, but he didn’t expect the system to agree with him. He was even more flustered.

Xu Si did not leave, he said, “But first can you tell me why you want to hurt yourself?”

His subordinates claimed that Xi Ning was in a bad state, but when he came back, Xi Ning wasn’t unusual in front of him except that he was a little hungrier than usual.

But the wound on his hand was real. Under what circumstances would a vampire hurt himself in this way?
