Chapter 1041 - Although… I Miss You

At 1:00 in the morning, the saline drip was finished.

Nian Junting asked Mo Liuxi if he wanted to go back to the villa with them and rest for a day before returning to school.

Mo Liuxi refused him.

The doctor said, “It’ll be good for you to take two days off and rest. Studying is important, but there’s no need to put your health on the line.”

“I like to study when I have nothing to do at home.” Mo Liuxi shook his head. He was really impressing the doctor and Nian Junting with his hardworking demeanor.

When they sent him to his apartment, Nian Junting said, “If you find it inconvenient, just move over to your mother’s place and take a few days off. Don’t keep it to yourself.”

“It’s fine, I’ll be fine.” Mo Liuxi got out of the car.

Nian Junting thought that his silhouette looked strange.

Although Mo Liuxi was an independent man, it was strange for him to be so insistent on his independence, even after getting injured.

When Mo Liuxi emerged from the elevator, he walked over to Yan Su’s door and wanted to knock on it.

Before he walked in, Yan Su’s door suddenly flew open. She was wearing a set of yellow pajamas and her hair was up in a bun. She was holding her phone and her eyes were bright as day.

Mo Liuxi was a little stunned until she said to him, “I thought I texted you to let me know when you get home.”

He turned and walked over to her. His handsome face looked pale and tired under the dim glow. He didn’t look as bossy as he usually did, but a lot more vulnerable. He looked like a porcelain doll, asking to be looked after.

“I wanted to tell you, but when I walked to your door and I thought that you might be asleep by now. It’s been a long day. I didn’t want to disturb your rest.”

He was a domineering person. Yan Su found it hard to adjust to his sweet and gentle disposition now.

“Although… I miss you.” Mo Liuxi continued after a long pause with something so sweet and overwhelming.

Yan Su’s heart skipped a beat. She looked up at the handsome face in front of her and her heart ached. Under his stare, she started to blush.

“Are you… are you feeling better? Is there anything I can help you with..?”

“I’m hungry,” Mo Liuxi said. “I couldn’t do much at the hospital with one hand. I only had sips of water. I didn’t eat much and my stomach felt uncomfortable when they put me on the drip.”

Yan Su was stunned. “Wasn’t Mr. Nian there with you?”

“Yeah, I asked him to peel a mandarin orange for me but he told me that he will only peel them for my sister. I could only have water,” Mo Liuxi said. “He isn’t my blood brother, after all, he’s just my brother-in-law. And I’m not comfortable giving him orders given his status.”

“True.” Yan Su nodded her head. “It’ll take me at least half an hour to make some porridge though. How about this… I have some wanton at home, I’ll bring it over and cook that for you.”

“I love everything you make. Come quick, I’ll wait for you.” Mo Liuxi smiled as he stared at her.

Yan Su was flustered and didn’t know what to say. Especially the way he’d said, “I’ll wait for you,” made her legs tremble.

Mo Liuxi went into his own room instead of hovering around her.

After she finished cooking, Yan Su went into his room to call him.
