“Is Miss Yan in the room? I need to talk to her,” said Shi Xiang straightforwardly.

“Is this about your MV? I heard that you’re planning to release a new album this year…” Jiaojiao reacted quickly.

“No.” Shi Xiang interrupted her.

Yan Su worried that he might tell Jiaojiao about their relationship, so she hurriedly walked out and said, “Let him in.” She didn’t even have time to put on shoes.

“Oh, okay.” Jiaojiao was confused. She wondered if they knew each other, but she never heard about it.

“I want to talk to Miss Yan in private.” Shi Xu made another request.

Jiaojiao didn’t know what to do.

Yan Su put a hand on her forehead and said, “Jiaojiao, please wait for me outside.”

“All right.” Jiaojiao walked out of the room with confusion. She didn’t dare go far but stayed by the door. Yan Su was in the room alone with Shi Xiang, and that made her a little worried.

Yan Su’s heart raced. She was never so nervous to face Shi Xiang. But still, she forced herself to calm down, and said to him, “Shi Xiang, I think I’ve made it clear to you. Let bygones be bygones. Don’t come to me again.”

Shi Xiang slowly walked to her. His pretty face wore deep bitterness. “Who have I been working so hard for? How can our relationship end just because you said so? Su, we are not like the others. I understand that you have been through a lot of difficult situations and lonely times these years, but none of that will happen again. I have decided to end my contract with the Korean company. We can openly be together after I finish this film.”

Yan Su paused briefly, then soon figured it out. “Why wait until you finish the film? You’re gonna make our relationship a topic, so you can win attention for the film, right?”

“This film already has enough attention. I don’t need to do that. I just need to fight a legal battle with the Korean company. I don’t want you to get involved.” Shi Xiang walked up to her, and looked at her affectionately and said, “Su, do you know how excited I was to see you in this circle? I’ve been waiting for this day, for too long. I love you. That never changed. I never had another woman in my heart. If you don’t believe me, we can get married tomorrow, then you can bring me home to your parents. Let them know that you didn’t choose wrong.”

Yan Su raised her head to look at the pretty man in front of her. She was in a daze for a moment. “Many times, I fantasized you saying those words to me. But Shi Xiang, I wanted you as a clean, decent man. You are no longer the boy I knew.”

“Is this because of what Xu Luosang said to you? Do you believe her?” Shi Xiang said with disbelief.

“Do I have to say it out loud?” Yan Su’s nails sank into her palms when she started talking. “People are talking about you, Shi Xiang. You are with the rich girl who owns your company. That’s why the company puts so many resources on you. That’s why you achieved whatever you have today.”

She looked at him sadly and continued, “I really wished that our relationship ended in that phone call, and that you’d never come to me, so I wouldn’t be saying this to you, face to face. All these years you’ve been having the best resources. You even managed to get into this film crew so easily. Shi Xiang, I didn’t know as much as I do now before I became a part of this circle. But now, I hear a lot of things.”
