Through the gap of the window, Fu Yao could just make out the mischievous look in Xia Ning’s eyes, which made her shudder. She didn’t need this woman to leave any evidence for her.

“Let go of me, Xia Ning! Now!” Fu Yao bellowed.

The apartment buildings in the area were heavily populated and all passersby could see an unkempt woman had her arm stuck in the car window. She kicked the car frantically, which seemed to hurt her feet. She tried to crouch down and rub them, but her hand was still stuck. She then pounded the window with the other hand.

“Xia Ning, you b*tch! Get your ass out here! Stop hiding! What do you think you’re doing?” Fu Yao was seething with anger.

Seeing Fu Yao’s twisted face, Xia Ning smiled. “Humiliate you, of course.”

“Ahhh! Xia Ning, I’m gonna kill you!” Fu Yao screamed, driven crazy by her fury. She then pounded the window even harder.

Then, the others watched as the miserable things happened. The crazy woman that had been pounding the window fell backward, kicking and brandishing her arms.

The car’s tires made a slipping sound, then sped off.

Ignoring her pain, Fu Yao stared as the car drove off. Her eyes had gone bloodshot red. She knelt down all of a sudden and pounded the ground with her fists, screaming through her gritted teeth. “Xia Ning, you’re going to pay for this! Ahhh…”

The passersby shook their heads. How unlucky, running into a madwoman the first thing in the morning.

Xia Ning drove to SE Entertainment after that to pick Wen Jing up. She was going to talk to Zheng Ziming about a recent job arrangement while she was there.

Qiao Yu called her before she got there and Xia Ning picked it up after a brief moment of hesitation.

“Where are you?” The man asked gently.

Keeping her eyes on the road ahead, Xia Ning said, “I’m on my way to SE Entertainment.” She added after some consideration. “I went to Wen Yue’s place just now.”

The man paused on the other end before saying, “I see. Have a safe trip.”

“I know. I’m driving. Talk to you later.” Xia Ning hung up after that, but she stared at her phone in bewilderment. She had just willingly told him her whereabouts. Something had changed.

In the president’s office of Shengshi Group, Qiao Yu stared at his phone and the look in his eyes was almost delightful!

Just then, there was a call on the internal line and Qiao Yu picked it up right away.

“Mr. Qiao, Young Master Mu is here for you.”

“Sure. Send him in.”

As soon as she walked into the building, Xia Ning saw a woman dressed in an expensive fur coat coming out. Xia Ning glanced at the woman’s exquisitely made-up face, then walked past the latter and headed for the elevator.

“Miss Xia, is this how you treat a senior of your profession now?” Cheng Feixuan turned around and smiled at Xia Ning.

Xia Ning stopped and turned back. “I will always show respect to my seniors, but I don’t think there’s anything left in you for me to respect, Miss Cheng.” She went on after a pause. “Plus, I’m the second-largest shareholder of SE Entertainment now, which makes me your boss. We’re at my company now. Is that how you treat your boss, Miss Cheng? With that condescending tone?”

The smile gradually vanished from Cheng Feixuan’s face and their eyes met, the impact seemed to bring down the temperature in the lobby. Many people stopped to look at the pair, sensing the hostility in the air.

Cheng Feixuan smiled, then bowed at Xia Ning. “Good morning, Miss Xia!”

Seeing this, Xia Ning said indifferently. “You flatter me, Miss Cheng. You’re a senior in my profession. We can skip the formalities from now on.”

Standing straight, Cheng Feixuan suddenly went up to Xia Ning, leaned over, then whispered in the latter’s ear. “You’re so fussy, but I see you’re not afraid of offending me with that attitude. You do realize that all the companies out there want to have me. SE Entertainment isn’t my only choice!”
