Chapter 337: Other Functions

Name:Fire Mage Author:Ak02
At that moment, many names, their house number, and even their personal information appeared on the blue interface!

"In this Icon, you can find all the citizens' personal information. Well, most of them are due to Jessie's help, though. And, this Tower Spirit also has a scan function that could help the Tower Masters to scan others' body status. Although it won't be as accurate as your eye skill, it could at least show one's body attributes and skill names."

Then, Oswald minimized the Icon, touched the next one, and explained.

"The next one is Quest Icon. We are planning on introducing this function to all the students. We will put missions through this Quest Icon and let the kids decide which one to take it. We'll also divide the missions based on the difficulty and place them in this Icon. From medicine gathering to killing a criminal organization member, the students would find all kinds of missions here. We are also planning on introducing identity cards and a separate credit system to make things easier."

"This looks more like RPG-Game now," Charles commented with a nod and gestured him to move on.

Oswald smiled lightly and spoke.

"The next one is spell models. Unlike other icons, only authorized persons could see this one. I added more than 1,000 spell models from Rank-1 to Rank-5. If your disciple's kids or descendants want to walk on the path of Ancient Mages in the future, they can use this Icon. After all, we still don't know much about the origin of this Class-Gem pathway. What if one day the Churches stop giving the Class Gems to others? Although walking on the Ancient Mage path is harder, it's better than nothing, right? I also added some potion recipes, basic techniques, and few others in this."

Oswald paused for a moment and moved towards the next Icon.

"The next one is Defense Mechanism. Unfortunately, I still hadn't created any artificial golems or brought some enslaved beings for defensive purposes. Currently, I only created a single Rank-6 Spell array to protect this Tower from enemy attacks."

"Then, it's the storage option. I created this option to find the items stored in the Tower easily. The next one is the Artifact Section. I'm planning on placing all the artifacts in the 20th Level. From common artifacts to extraordinary artifacts, the students can find all kinds of artifacts over there. As long as they have enough credit points, they would be able to buy them."

"But we don't have enough artifacts, right?" Charles asked in puzzlement.

"Did you forget about my identity? I'm a Rune Master!" Oswald glared at him and then turned his attention towards the final Icon.

"This is Personal Icon. You can store some important information in this Icon. With this, you can also give some authority to your disciples and make them as Tower Masters."

Upon hearing his words, Charles couldn't help but show an amusing smile on his face.

"It seems you've already got attached to those kids, old man." He grinned.

Meanwhile, Oswald shook his head and corrected him.

"I placed some of my wife's memories in this Tower Spirit, lad. As long as this Tower isn't destroyed, Zena would grow into a unique artificial spirit with emotions. My current aim is to perfect this Tower Core and turn it into an intelligent artifact. If it were before, I wouldn't have thought of creating her. But after I saw how the 'Mind Fire' works, I realized that bringing back my wife would be impossible. Even if I find her soul somewhere in the universe, her memories would have long been wiped out by the Eternal River of Life. So, I thought; Why not create a new soul with her memories? Although it won't be the Zena I knew before, this new person would be better than nothing, right? At least, I won't die out of loneliness."

A bitter smile appeared on Oswald's face as he said those words.

Charles could feel the pain in his tone.

He then waved his hand and spoke in an uncaring manner.

"Do whatever you want." He paused for a moment and changed the topic.

"What about the soul barrier? Did you create an array to block the Divines and the World Will from spying on us?"

Upon hearing his words, Oswald shook his head and spoke.

"It will take two or three months to complete the array work."

"Would you mind doing that faster? Meanwhile, I'll go back and complete my final mission." He paused for a second, took out the Ember Pistol from his space ring, gave it to Oswald, and added.

"If you've some extra time, upgrade this pistol and give it to Titus. Currently, he is the weakest one among the four."

At that moment, Edith raised her eyebrows and asked.

"Are you going back to the Fire Elemental Plane?"

"Yes. I also have a job for you." Charles nodded his head and continued.

"I want you to go to a particular area and gather information about someone. There is a high chance that you might get caught during this mission, so be careful."

Saying so, he explained about that job in detail.

Then, he cast the [Flame Teleportation] spell on himself, enveloped his body in crimson fire, and disappeared from there.

A second later, he appeared in the underground basement hall, arrived in front of the wall, and began to chant in English.

A moment later, his figure turned blurry and soon disappeared!

Fire Elemental Plane.

Charles reappeared in the underground basement hall and then turned his gaze towards the rocky wall.

Then, he took the Twin Leaf from the wall and stored it in his space ring.

After that, he disappeared from there and reappeared out of the underground cave.

Crimson light came from the opposite sky and illuminated the whole land, nearby fire-elemental plants and trees, and the waterfall!

Charles closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, and released his wisdom power in all directions.

After that, he cast [Fallen Angel's Wings] spell on himself, flapped them forcefully, and shot towards the cloudy red sky.

But just as he moved towards the clouds, a monstrous being suddenly descended from the red clouds and completely blocked his vision!

Its body was as large as a three-storied building and appeared thirty to thirty-five meters long.

Its reddish scales were sharp as daggers, had two tough legs, reddish wings almost as long as its body, and a long pointy tail.

It was the same Red Dragon!

The monstrous creature flapped its red wings while sending shockwaves in all directions!

But Charles also sensed a strange power appeared in those shockwaves!

Meanwhile, the Red Dragon circled the sky and soon locked its gaze on Charles.

Simultaneously, an invisible power came from the Dragon's vertical pupils and entered his body.
