Chapter 444: Emotionally Unstable

As Charles stepped out of the mansion, he raised his head, looked at the mansion courtyard, and saw many Light Knights were roaming here and there. Then, he turned his gaze towards the outside and saw five foreign Knights outside the compound gate. But unlike the Light Knights, he saw that the foreign knights were closely monitoring each of his movements!

After looking at the Foreign Knights for a moment, he suddenly thought of something, activated the [Arcane Eyes] skill, and checked their body status one by one.

Soon, he focused his gaze on a particular knight and raised his eyebrows.

"So, this guy is the disguised demon sorcerer who specialized in blood magic, huh." While muttering, he touched his space ring, took out a long sword from it, and held it in his hand. But just as he was about to infuse it with his elemental power, a male voice came from his right side, causing him to stop his current action.

"Greeting, Lord Baron!"

Charles turned towards the guesthouse with a surprised look and saw a white-robed middle-aged man walking towards him. He was none other than Bishop Blake. Currently, he carried a sealed letter in his right hand and showed a polite smile on his face.

Charles sized him up and down and greeted him in a young voice.

"Greetings, Father. Do you need something?" He asked.

On the other hand, Bishop looked at the unsheathed sword, then glanced around the surroundings and looked puzzled at his face.

"I came here to give you a letter. But before that, why did you unsheath your sword?" His voice contained a trace of suspicion.

'Oh? My curse spell isn't working properly on him. Is it due to him being a believer of Goddess?' He calmly stared back at Bishop and shook his head.

'Wait, it's a good thing. If I let him witness Daniel's emotional transformation, he will send a detailed report to the Holy See. When the mysterious Victor guy hears this, he will think that Daniel's action is due to his interference.' A cold glint appeared in his eyes. Without any further thought, he shifted his gaze towards Bishop and erased the black streak that hid deep inside his Dark Space.

On the other hand, Bishop Blake felt a refreshing feeling suddenly and showed a confused look on his face.

Meanwhile, Charles let out a fake cough and spoke.

"It's nothing serious, Father Blake. I made a mistake earlier and let these betrayers inside my territory." As he spoke those words, a faint ripple came out of his body, and the domination power uncontrollably spread towards the surrounding. The Knights, even the nobles, might be ignorant about the power of dominance, but not the Bishop of Light Church. In truth, he knew much more about this mystical power and got stunned for a moment.

"A-Aura of the Ruler!" He blurted out in shock.

Without minding Bishop's shocked face, Charles raised his hand before pointing his finger towards the group of foreign knights and then added in an angry tone.

"Even after swearing their allegiance to me, those ungrateful scums monitored my all actions and sent every information about me. What do you want me to do in this situation, Lord Bishop?" His tone appeared ice as cold and emotionally unstable.

'What happened?' Bishop suddenly sensed that Baron Daniel looked completely different than before. It was as if something that hid in the deepest part of his heart came out all of a sudden and started taking a deep root in his body.

'H-He is emotionally unstable! Damn it, I knew Baron took those knights without even thinking that they would betray him in the future. Tsk, he is still a naive kid after all.' He felt pity towards the young noble kid.

'Well, I should guide him a little and show the true color of humans. Otherwise, even Duke Michael and Prince Julius might use him as a pawn in the future.' Just as he was about to say something, Bishop suddenly noticed that the whole surroundings suddenly turned colder. Bishop, the Light Knights, foreign knights, and even the nearby citizens noticed the strangeness.

At that moment, Bishop also saw a trace of evil aura that appeared out Baron Daniel's body and felt a strange chill.

'W-What the hell is this?' Without even knowing, he subconsciously moved his hand towards the sword hilt and gripped it tighter.

Soon, he snapped out of the shock and spoke in a hurry. He knew that things would turn uncontrollable if he didn't do anything to soothe this kid's anger.

"L-Lord Baron! I think you have misunderstood something. In truth, I know what happened in Duke's castle. They even sent an apology letter-"

Before he could even finish those words, a hoarse yet creaky voice came out of the young kid's mouth.

"Even Light Church is also involved in this scheme, huh? No wonder I got cornered everywhere."

As Bishop Blake heard those words, he suddenly felt a bad premonition appear in his head.

He tried to say something, but Charles cut him off in an eerie voice.

"I hope Father Bishop won't interfere in the internal matter."

Saying so, he infused his long sword with fire-elemental energy and created a crimson aura around the sword edges. Even though it wasn't strong as the original sword aura, he enchanted the sword's sharpness two folds!

Then, he took a step forward and sprinted towards the compound wall at an unimaginable speed. Before Bishop could stop him, Charles ran faster while leaving afterimages and crossed more than 100 meters in four seconds.

Even the nearby Light Knights got startled by his movement speed and let out loud gasps, followed by murmurs.

"Isn't that Lord Baron?"

"Why is he running towards the wall?" The Light Knights were puzzled by his action.

On the other hand, Charles arrived near the compound wall, placed his hand on the capping area, and jumped all of a sudden. A second later, he flew upward, made a backflip, and landed on the other side.

Meanwhile, the foreign knights got startled by his arrival and turned their gaze towards his direction.

Without even waiting for a moment, Charles took a step forward and once again moved forward.

Although the foreign knights got confused by his action, they didn't lose their calm and swiftly unsheathed their swords in unison.
