Chapter 701 – It’s too little

“Mr. Feng, this is Professor Mark, the person in charge of our laboratories. Professor Mark, this Mr. Feng from China.”

Feng Yu shook hands with Mark and then turned to the translator: “How do you say Nice to meet you in English?”

The translator told Feng Yu, and Feng Yu greeted Mark in English. Then, Feng Yu just looked at his translator regardless of what Mark said.

“Mr. Feng, this is our Pfizer’s biggest medical research laboratory. We do not have only one research lab. We have a few in the US and also in Europe. We invest heavily in the development of new drugs. Of course, this is also because we are researching on many drugs at the same time.”

Victor looked at Mark, and Mark nodded. Mark does not mind Feng Yu and his men visiting his research facilities as the core areas were inaccessible for the visitors. Also, all the important data were locked up.

If Professor Wang could know their formulas just by taking a few looks, Feng Yu would not need to buy formulas from them.

After taking a tour around the lab, Victor asked. “Mr. Feng, we have many projects on new drugs development. Which are the ones you are interested in?”

Feng Yu looked at Professor Wang, and the latter shook his head, indicating that he could not tell what they were researching on. But the facilities in this lab were state of the art. Professor Wang wished he could own such a research lab or work there.

“I am interested in Cardiovascular and high blood pressure medicines. How many medicines are you all developing here?” Feng Yu asked.

A hint of excitement flashed across Victor’s face, and he looked at Mark before replying. “We have 5 research going on. But we need to keep some of the new medicines for ourselves. We can only sell two research to you.”

Mark frowned. All the researchers here are showing those failed products. If you can sell them, why don’t you sell everything? Why are you only selling only two of them?

Mark does not know about business negotiations. If Victor told Feng Yu that Pfizer was willing to sell all their research, Feng Yu would be suspicious, and the prices will not be high. Now, Victor said that he could only sell two research to Feng Yu, and he was confident that the prices of these two research would be more than the cost of all 5 failed products!

Feng Yu had a disappointed look on his face: “Can we look at the basic research data and then pick the ones we wanted?”

Victor looked at Mark, and he nodded. Although these were all failed products, at the start of the research, everything was going well and had no problems. If not, they would also not continue the research.

“Yes, which research do you want to see?”

“Show me all. We need to see if this research is worth for us to carry on, and what will be the side effects.”

“No problem. Professor Wang will look through the research data.”

Feng Yu was not interested in all these research information. He only wants to see if there were any familiar words or medicine names in the data. If there were none, then he will not buy single research. If the words or names were found in the data, he does not mind spending tens of million USD to buy them.

After a while, Mark returned with 5 sets of basic information about the research.

Professor Wang sat there looking through the data, while Feng Yu drank coffee by his side.

After reading the first set of data, Professor Wang nodded. This research was heading in the right direction and in theory, it should be possible. The progress of this research had almost reached clinical trials.

Professor Wang was shocked at the second research. If this drug were successfully developed, it would take the world by storm.

Professor Wang read through all 5 sets of data and felt he had learned a lot.

Professor Wang understood the theories mentioned in the research, but in China, there were no laboratories that have such state of the art facilities. Without the facilities, they also could not carry on with the research.

Feng Yu sighed in his heart when he saw the excitement on Professor Wang’s face. These types of people do not know how scheming people were in the business world. Feng Yu was sure that there will be no problems with these data. But in reality, all of these research had issues.

“Mr. Victor, Professor Mark, can you give us some time to discuss?” Feng Yu asked politely.

“Sure. We will be next door. If you need anything, just give us a call.” Victor and Mark exchanged looks and left the room.

The translator immediately walked over to the windows and pull down the blinds before sitting down beside Feng Yu. He flipped open the documents and pretended to translate for Feng Yu. But it was Feng Yu who was reading the documents.

After half an hour, Feng Yu finished reading all 5 sets of data but did not find any familiar words. He could not remember the components of Sildenafil. He only remembers the spelling. But the word Sildenafil did not appear in any of these documents.

The translator looked at Feng Yu, and Feng Yu shook his head. These data was not enough. He needed more detail data.

“Professor Wang, what do you think of this research?” The translator asked and raised his left hand.

Professor Wang had wanted to say all these research were excellent but suddenly stopped. He thought for a while and said. “The information is insufficient, and it is hard to predict the outcome.”

“Yes. You will say this later.”

The translator left the room to call Mark and Victor.

“Mr. Feng, what do you all think? Which research are you all interested in and wants to know the price?” Victor laughed and asked. He could visualize Mr. George patting him on his back, telling him he had done a great job. And then he was promoted to be the person in charge of the US market!

Professor Wang suddenly opened his mouth: “These data are too simple, and it’s hard for us to make the decision. Can you provide us with more details of the research?”

“We cannot do this. But we can negotiate if you all can confirm which research you all want to buy.” Victor laughed and said.

Feng Yu waved his hand: “Mr. Victor. Pfizer only have these few research? Do you have any more? I said before that if I am interested in the research, money is not a problem. Even if it’s a half-finished product or some techniques is also fine. The options you gave us is too little!”

Victor and Mark exchanged looks. Too little? That means Feng Yu wanted to buy a lot of their research?
