3 Ch. 3 'Bandit's Attack'

Until one day, Lord Fiery forced Scarlet to marry someone she did not know by her parents. Scarlet had tried to reject this arranged marriage, but her parents would not listen.

In the end, she decided to run away from home unnoticed. She waited till night to come to sneak out successfully. She continued to walk and walk until she arrived in a remote village.

Her stomach began to grumble as she hasn't eaten since morning. She felt exhausted, and her feet went limp. Fortunately, there was a kind-hearted old lady who offered her shelter and food.

Scarlet did not feel suspicious at all and immediately accepted the excellent offer. Luckily, the residents there also took her happily. They did not ask about her origin or suspected of her. Scarlet felt comfortable living there.

Unknown to her, she would face danger soon, which would change her life.

In the middle of the night when she was fast asleep, someone held her. That very someone covered her mouth with a cloth and tied her body with a rope. Of course,

Scarlet struggled, and she used her elemental power to fight that person. She began to hear someone warned others by saying that she was an Elementalist. In an instant, Scarlet, who was able to move freely, saw that some big bulky men surrounded her.

"Who are you? What do you want?"

They did not answer only smiles, which, according to her, those smiles were very frightening.

A few seconds later, she faintly heard screams from outside.

"Bandits! Hurry and run! Argh!"

"Bandits?" Scarlet asked, confused. Now she realized, these bandits attacked this village.

At that moment, Scarlet felt scared, and suddenly she could not bring out the fire she wanted.

The fire that was released was only a small fireball and disappeared into the air, making the bandits laugh viciously.

"Looks like this Elementalist is very weak. Right, how could a girl be an Elementalist? Hahahaha."

"No... Don't ..." sobbed Scarlet, whose fear began to show up.

"Argh!" one of the bandits exclaimed.

Scarlet was very surprised when she saw the kind old lady who helped her had thrown a pan at the bandits.

"Let the girl go! She is not a resident of this village!" the old lady snapped.

But the bandit laughed and walloped the old lady making her passed out.

"Old granny!" cried Scarlet in fear.

Eventually, the fear she felt earlier disappeared somewhere and replaced by new feelings. Her anger was overwhelming, and she wanted to kick the bandits from this village. She had the urge to protect this village, especially the old lady who was very kind to her.

She hoped that she had more power in her. Strong enough to beat all of these bandits. She groaned frustrated as she almost held captive.

What can she do to defend this village as she was only a weak girl?

Just as the bandit held of her wrists, a bright red glow appeared in front of her.

This glow turned into an arc covered with blazing red fire. Scarlet felt confused for a moment, why did an arc appear before her but no arrows to be seen?
