Chapter 125 - Emergency Shareholder Meeting (1)

Name:Descent of the Demon God Author:
“Yes, sir!”

“So… what you’re saying is… unidentified flying object that flew in yesterday into our region was a dangerous entity estimated at A Grade?”

“Yes, sir!”

Baek Jinchang shouted in response, but he seemed very tense and nervous. It was because the report he filed was created with 99% false statements.

“I clearly heard that the flying object, although not correctly observed due to its enormous speed, was very small in its size.”

Baek Jinchang began stuttering at sharp comment about the incident.

“T-that is correct, sir. When we found him, with the help of agents from Yongchun Group, we confirmed the entity to be about size of a human.”

“Is that why you reported that the entity maybe a special kind?”

“Yes, sir.”

“A Grade Gatekeeper Ha Hyunkang – died in operation. 10 wounded, 7 death. SS Class Gatekeeper Yu Sohwa severely injured… hmm.”

Commander Jo Yun went through the damage report as he caressed his mustache. The damage report seemed feasible enough if the flying object was indeed A Grade or higher special dangerous entity. Moreso, it was enough to be even considered fortunate.

“You were lucky then, Lieutenant Major.”

“Uh… Y-yes, sir.”

“The damage would have been greater if it wasn’t for Yongchun Group’s Yulinians or SS Class Gatekeeper Yu Sohwa.”

Baek Jinchang felt his tension immediately releasing into relief. He had been worried if the commander would be suspicious of the report, but it seemed he was buying into it.

“Well, you would have been credited highly of keeping the damage low if it wasn’t for Yu Sohwa eradicating the entity’s corpse.”

“No, sir! I was just doing my job.”

“Good. That’s the spirit.”

Commander Jo Yun nodded in satisfying look.

‘Whew…’

Baek Jinchang sighed in relief. At least things have taken a good turn. He had created a report due to the threat from Yongchun Group, but if there was a problem with the report, then it would have damaged his entire career.

“We will proceed with the meeting. Go back to your seat.”

“Yes, sir.”

Baek Jinchang saluted and tried to return to his seat. That’s when Jo Yun called him out again.

“Wait!”

“S-sir?!”

Baek Jinchang became surprised as he stopped and turned. Jo Yun spoke to him.

“You reported that Yongchun Group also had one of their essential factory damaged. We have to compensate their damage, so make a report of their damage.”

“Y-yes, sir.”

Baek Jinchang quickly replied.

‘God-dammit. I thought I got caught.’

He never wanted to try making up a fake report to the commander if he can. If this was revealed, then it was lucky if he would only get fired.

‘I did what I can. I don’t want to get involved in Yongchun… no with that monster anymore.’

Baek Jinchang didn’t want no more of sponsorship or any bribes.

About 2 PM at the President’s room of Yongchun Group’s headquarter building in Jenam city.

“Good… good that it worked out. Thank you.”

Middle aged man with narrow eyes smiled as he talked on the phone and hung up. His name was Bi Makhun, the current clan leader of Ghost Ilusion Clan and the director of Yongchun Group. Bi Makhun hung up his phone and turned to the young man standing by the window, and a middle aged man who had his arm wrapped in casket.

“Baek Jinchang called to report that it worked out, sir. And the Defense Department is offering a compensation for our factory.”

“Ohh! That’s a great news! Good work, Director Bi.”

“Yes, sir.”

The middle aged man with injured arm was the president of Yongchun Group, Chun Yujang. Another man with black suit who was looking out on the window was Chun Yeowun. Chun Yeowun was looking toward a ruined factory. The reason why building that was standing fine until yesterday had turned into a ruin was because it was destroyed in purpose. The idea came from Bi Makhun. He claimed that if Defense Department gets involved, the situation will only grow worse and asked Chun Yeowun for permission to handle the situation by himself.

‘He is decisive.’

Chun Yeowun was still not used to modern world, but he knew the damage it might bring to the company for destroying such factory. But Bi Makhun simply blew up the factory without hesitation and proceeded with his work. Since it did bring a good result with the Defense Department, it had come to a plus, and with the department just promised a compensation so it was all good now. Chun Yeowun turned around and spoke.

“You proved your worth.”

‘Ah…!’

Bi Makhun who was standing by nervously became brightened. He had to stop him from turning into a smile. For now, he was usually not as powerful amongst other directors, so he was usually one to execute plans that have been decided by others.

“T-thank you, Lord Chun Ma. Your trust in my action have allowed me to solve this matter.”

No one, president or other directors would have accepted his ideas. No one would accept the idea of blowing up a factory. But Chun Yeowun had given him a chance.

“Chun Yujang.”

“Yes, ancestor.”

“You only kept him as a director? You don’t know who’s worth.”
