Chapter 367 - Outer Sect

Having made up his mind that he would be bringing both Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo along with him to his first ever public lecture, Xuan Hao quickly spread out his divine sense and located Zhi Ruo in a small room. Busy dusting off a small empty bookshelf likely left behind by the past owner of the pavilion.

Disappearing in front of Bai Ning before reappearing in the small room where Zhi Ruo was busy dusting off the bookshelf, Xuan Hao's sudden appearance caused Zhi Ruo to jump a bit as she soon bowed her head down and greeted him.

"G-greetings Elder Xuan, is there anything I can help with?" Stuttering a bit due to the shock of suddenly seeing Xuan Hao appear all of a sudden.

"Yes, I'm going to do a teaching session for a crowd of outer sect disciple in a a few hours and Bai Ning wanted to join in, I need someone to look after him while taking care of the outer sect disciples."

"Really!? I will get ready immediately!"  Listening to what Xuan Hao said, Zhi Ruo extremely excited, as she knew that it would be a good opportunity for her to improve her knowledge when it came to cultivation.

After all, as a servant from the servant quarters, she never got a real opportunity to become a cultivator outside the basic cultivation mantra that was given to all the servants upon entering the servant quarters.

The cultivation mantra was a different one depending on what qi one was found to be more proficient in and it was by no means a bad cultivation mantra, as it could allow someone to reach the Core Formation Realm… But it was ultimately not suited for her and even after having spent a few years in the servant quarters, she had still not reached the Qi Condensation Realm…

Now that she managed to work under someone like Elder Xuan, Zhi Ruo felt that her chances of finally stepping into the Qi Condensation Realm would come at some point and now that chance had arrived! There was no way she would refuse!

Zhi Ruo already knew that most of the servants working under the other Core Elders were way stronger than she was, with most of them being in the Foundation Establishment Realm!

For her to be a brilliant servant, she not only had to be good at the standard things like cleaning up, brewing tea and so on, but she would also need a decent cultivation realm to not shame Elder Xuan!

Even if she was not Elder Xuan's servant. Her master, Qing Yi, was still a disciple of Elder Xuan! So, she could be considered a servant of Elder Xuan to some degree! At least she believed so herself…

"Good, meet us at the entrance when you are finished here, we will be leaving in 15 minutes!" Unaware of the different things going through Zhi Ruo's head, Xuan Hao only nodded his head before leaving only Zhi Ruo behind in the empty room with only a few dusty bookshelves left in it.

"Ah! I have to finish cleaning this place before leaving!" Waking up from her somewhat dazed state after Xuan Hao disappeared, Zhi Ruo quickly picked up a small fan used for getting rid of the dust that she had unknowingly dropped at some point during the short instant Xuan Hao had appeared. Wanting to finish cleaning the room as quickly as possible.

Gathering in front of the pavilion, Xuan Hao, Bai Ning and Zhi Ruo soon made their way down the mountain towards the part of the sect where the outer disciples were located.

Along the way down the mountain, Xuan Hao also noticed that someone had made a path up the mountain, so as to make it easier to reach for those without any cultivation realm to speak of.

Thinking about it, it was likely one of his two disciples that had done it to help make things easier for Zhi Ruo, as just making her way up and down the mountain would have taken at least half a day's time without it…

In a sense, it was an amazing feat in itself that Zhi Ruo had even made her way up and down the mountain before the path had been made and was a testament to how strong she was. Even if she had yet to step onto the path of cultivation.

After all, scaling such a tall mountain, would be hard feat. Even for someone at the Qi Condensation Realm…

Like this, the group of three soon made their way down the mountain and headed towards the outer part of the sect where the outer sect disciples were located.

The outer part of the Flying Sword Sect was by far the most expansive area of the sect, as it was also the place where most of the disciples along with elders resided.

The reason for this being that most of the disciples lived there and the outer part of the Flying Sword Sect was also the place where most of the disciples, be it inner or outer disciples, decided to spend their time either training or relaxing together with a group of friends.

On the other hand, the elders in the outer part of the sect were not weak by any means, as even the weakest elder from the Flying Sword Sect would have reached the Core Formation Realm, there was still a difference and that was the fact that most of the elders who resided in the outer sect were still young.

The reason for this, was that the older elders tended to be stronger and therefore lived in the inner part of the sect in their own pavilion, while the younger and newer elders were weaker and therefore lived in the outer part of the sect until they grew strong enough to take over a pavilion themselves and move into the inner part of the sect.
