The next day was the last day of the year, so the husband and wife had decided to go shopping and bought gifts for their family members.

Since they were in Las Vegas and more of that, that day was the last day of the year where every other person wanted to use their luck for the year in the casino, so how could Lee Xuiye stay behind?

However, as usual, Mo Lingtan knew that whether it was the first day or last day of this year or any year, Lee Xuiye's luck was still the same.

"YOU SCOUNDREL!!! YOU CHEATERS!!! How is it possible that you all earned money and I am the only one who lost? It is clearly cheating, I WANT MY MONEY BACK!!!" Lee Xuiye angrily shouted.

This casino was not in the Royal Blu Hotel so Mo Lingtan didn't have any power here. However, he swiftly held Lee Xuiye up and left before bouncers came and threw this troublemaker out.

"Leave me, Baby. See how I will teach these cheaters?!" Lee Xuiye struggled to get down but Mo Lingtan didn't let her and dragged her out.

"Baby let me go--" When they came out of the casino, Mo Lingtan didn't hesitate to scold her

"STOP SHOUTING!"

"But my money..." Lee Xuiye lowered her eyelashes and said in a sad tone.

"Didn't I warn you not to go there? No matter what, you will lose!" Mo Lingtan reprimanded her.

"Why?" Lee Xuiye annoyingly asked as she always lost no matter whatever game she played. However, till now she didn't understand why. Perhaps...her luck was always bad.

Mo Lingtan looked disdainfully and scoffed "What do you think is the reason?"

"If I knew, would I ask you?"

"See there is a problem." Mo Lingtan helplessly sighed. It seemed that in their relationship, he had to bear the burden of intelligence. 

Even a child knew that winning was already set in the casino and here, his wife was putting money over and over again, and then she was asking why she always lost so much of money?

Sometimes, he really wondered how she managed her companies?

As far as he knew, there were some loss-making companies that she bought and successfully converted them into a profit-making company.

Perhaps, she turned off her intelligence button when she was with him.

"Alright, the money is already gone! You can't do anything so just let it be. Come on I will take you somewhere more interesting. We will welcome the new year there." Mo Lingtan extended his hand towards her.

Mo Lingtan had already arranged a SUV car for them to travel around easily. 

Las Vegas was a hustle and bustle city as many artists were playing drums or other instruments and dancing on the roadside to entertain the crowd, while the crowd was making their way or some were standing there to watch the show.

Though the weather was cooling down, people were dressed up in fancy ways and the road was bustling with cars as everyone was going to the party to celebrate the new year with their friends and family.

While looking at this busy as a beaver city, Lee Xuiye's eyelid turned heavy, and unknowingly, she fell asleep.

Lee Xuiye didn't know how long she slept until Mo Lingtan woke her up "Wake up wifey."

"Hmmm?" Lee Xuiye looked at him dazedly.

"Come and take a look!" He reached out his arms to her, signaling her to get out of the car.

Lee Xuiye stood beside him and looked in the direction he was facing to see the entire city while they were on the mountain. It was a grand view of the city which was gleaming up tonight.

The cold breeze gently lifted her hair as she looked over the entire city in awe. Around them was a huge green patch of field and amidst the empty surroundings, just like how he stayed behind her in all her good and bad times. 

She closed her eyes and immersed herself in that amazing and peaceful moment, only opening them a while later. 

She turned towards him to see him still enjoying the view. He had a peaceful expression on his face as the cold breeze messed up his hair a little. With a light giggle, she stood in front of it and smoothened it down for him. However, his hand grabbed hers suddenly.

Mo Lingtan raised his brows and looked at her interestingly "Taking advantage of me in this broad daylight?"

Mo Lingtan had been noticing that recently Lee Xuiye was craving for him mostly as every now and then she was touching him and hugging him. It was not that he didn't like it. In fact, he wanted her to be like this forever so that he could tease her like he was doing now.

"Why, can't I?" Lee Xuiye asked back and raised her other hand towards his hair which he caught as well.

"Do you know the consequences of taking advantage of me?" Mo Lingtan moved his face closer towards her as there was only a few inches distance between their lips.

Lee Xuiye moved forward and wanted to merge their lips but suddenly, Mo Lingtan backed off and looked at her with a smile.

"The consequence is you can't take advantage of me!" Mo Lingtan answered her without her asking for it.

To which Lee Xuiye poked him unhappily, "Bully!"

Mo Lingtan laughed and held her hands to guide her back to the car "Come on, let's go and enjoy the arrival of the new year."

"Where?" Lee Xuiye asked, to which Mo Lingtan smiled mischievously and opened the car door for her.
