"Master, Bad News! Missus had an accident! She has been sent to the operation theater!" Qi Zhu immediately dashed into the office as soon as he received this gravy piece of news. 

Lee Xuiye was an important person for Mo Lingtan...No...She was more important than Mo Lingtan's life for Mo Lingtan. Therefore, Qi Zhu immediately told Mo Lingtan lest he would suffer Mo Lingtan's wrath.

Mo Lingtan didn't know who the doctors were that were treating Lee Xuiye, therefore, he immediately made arrangements to bring the best doctor of the country to come here along with Dr. Qian as he couldn't trust anyone else.

The police were also present here since the Mo Family was involved in this accident, they didn't dare to take this accident lightly.

Initially, they thought that it was an accident as it was already an accident-prone area, but the traces of tires on the road indicated that this case was something else. 

However, the other party i.e the driver of the truck had already died in the blast of the truck, so the police had to take the statements of Mo Mushan and Lee Xuiye before concluding anything.

When Mo Mushan opened his eyes, the fear of the blast could be seen in his eyes. He thought that he was already dead!

However, fortunately, he had dragged Lee Xuiye out but not so far to the point that they weren't completely safe from the blast of the car.

Luckily, he was safe now, making him sigh in relief, but the pain in his hand had made him jolt awake as the effects of the anesthetic had already worn off which immediately caused an increase in his displeasure toward Lee Xuiye. 

However, his displeasure disappeared into thin air when he heard Su Qiaolian's worried voice as soon as he opened his eyes. "Mushan...How are you now? Do you feel pain anywhere? Let me call the doctor!"

Fear could be seen in her eyes which unexpectedly brought some kind of warmth in his heart. Since his lie was revealed in front of his family, Su Qiaolian had stopped talking to him, let alone to care about him.

Su Qiaolian was his wife with whom he lived every day for more than three decades, with whom he slept, how could he not have feelings for her?

He had many colleagues who were having affairs outside their marriage because their feelings for their wife had died out or because their wives had lost their elegance for which they had fallen for, but his case was different.

He never thought of cheating on Su Qiaolian because his feelings for her were increasing day by day and her elegance was still the same as before their marriage or you could say because of his feelings for her, other things didn't matter anymore to him.

Now that they had separated, he started missing her as it seemed that now he was realizing the value of his family, his wife, his children…

Unfortunately for him, now they had turned blind towards him because of an outsider. Unknowingly, he started feeling jealous of Lee Xuiye.

At this point, he thought, should he consider Lee Xuiye's offer?

Perhaps, he should think about it…

But she was a dangerous girl, he never dared to forget about that horrifying scene of the accident… it was not called an accident...it was an act to murder!

Mo Mushan came back to his senses when he heard the sound of the door opening, the doctors, Mo Lingtan, and two more men who were looking like policemen based on their uniform came inside the ward.

Mo Lingtan initially didn't want to leave Lee Xuiye's side, even though, she was still inside the operation theater but when the police said that it seemed to be a case of murder, a lingering fear immediately shook his heart.

If it was true, he needed to be more cautious, he couldn't let anyone hurt his wife.

The doctors had done Mo Mushan's check-up and ensured that he was now alright after which the police had started asking questions.

"Mr. Mo, can you please tell us how did your accident happen?" The headman of the police asked.

"It wasn't an accident that the truck driver wanted to kill us!" Mo Mushan replied which had felt like a bomb hit on Mo Lingtan. 

'Someone wanted to kill us.'

'Someone wanted to kill his wife.'

These words repeated in Mo Lingtan's mind to the point that instantly veins could be seen on his forehead and he clutched his fist, simply he was angry at himself for not able to protect his wife.

At that point, he immediately looked at Mo Mushan suspiciously and the first thought that came in his mind was, could it be because of Mo Mushan, Lee Xuiye got involved in this accident?...

If it was really because of Mo Mushan then Mo Lingtan didn't dare to think what he would do.
