Chapter 8

Name:Come Here, Tyrant! Author:Park Mina
His palms touching his cheeks that burned like a fire. A strained voice flowed between his fingers.

“Wow… Our Annie loves magic news…”

Laughter continued to flow out of his mouth, as if someone was tickling him with a feather.

It was nice to see Annie after a long time and to learn a new fact about her even though it was trivial.

‘Somehow, you are smart, well-mannered, and educated. That’s why you watched the magic news…’

His heart was about to burst. Of course, he was heartbroken over the fact that he couldn’t talk much with Annie, as well as her fear towards him, but for now, he was happy.

This time, it was not a situation where he had to forcefully give up like before.

Now, after reminiscing what just happened, Ejed lowered his eyes. There was a gloomy shady under his long lashes.

‘I should have worn my glasses…‘

Because of his poor eyesight, Ejed needed glasses. But today, it was the first time he’s seen Annie so close, so he picked up his glasses a few times. He then put them down.

In the end, leaving it was his final choice.

He quietly left his glasses. He decided that if his mouth couldn’t move in front of Annie due to the tension, it was a big deal.

But now he regretted it. He was disappointed that he could not see Annie’s face properly.

‘It was nice though…’

His heart tickled.  Even without his glasses, Annie’s presence was still there.

Ejed’s heart dropped to the floor due to her glimmering bright eyes, straight posture, and clear voice.

Her eyes were shining brightly, so he couldn’t respond properly. All he managed to do was stare at the floor.

Now Ejed muttered, breathing slowly, as he raised his body and sat straight on the bed.

“I want to exchange more than ten words with Annie…”

Even though his strong hand covered in veins raked through his fine black hair, the tension did not disappear. This was because seeing Annie so close made a huge impact on him.

He never felt this way when he went to subdue the Dragon Fortress, but he was nervous today and even thought that he might die.

Ejed, who swept his left chest several times with his hand, shifted his gaze slightly to the side. Then he saw his gold-rimmed glasses and a scroll on a small table.

With his arms outstretched, he put on his glasses first, then opened his scroll little by little.

Before long, its familiar contents came into his vision.

〈Confession Preparation List〉

……

His red eyes shone grimly. Even though he prepared so hard, the lists were all useless.

Ejed recalled what happened a few days ago with a bitter smile.

The night he waited for the happy news and waited in anticipation for this parchment.

<Five Days Ago, the Emperor’s Office>

Ejed leaned against the wall and touched the chest of the uniform with his left hand.

The heaviness he felt on his chest calmed his anxious mind a little.

‘Good. I’m all ready.’

His long pale neck moved greatly. He felt nauseous because of the tension.

Now in his unconscious mind, he bit his lower lip and fell into thoughts.

‘By this time now, the Dsev family will be eating… Today, I hope that Annie’s favorite tenderloin steak is the main dish.’

Next time, he’d buy an empire to raise cows for Annie. Annie would like it more if it was a cow that ate organic vegetables while freely traversing the wide grassland.

After making a plan in his mind, Ejed slipped off his glasses and held them in his hands.

Little by little, a faint blush surfaced on his smooth, porcelain cheeks.

Thump, thump.

Just by imagining the woman, his heart boldly throbbed.

“Your Majesty, Your Majesty! Your Majessssstttyyyyy! Your Majesty!”

The only person who made the imperial corridor noisy was his other aide, Fiz: the person who was assigned with today’s top secret mission.

As Ejed quickly glanced at the firmly closed door, Doher swiftly opened the door.

“Your Majesty!”
