"Release her now."

Gianna demanded as she walked toward them. She then threw Liu Lingli a quick stare. She looked pitiful alright, but Gianna can't bring herself to empathize with her. Maybe because she knew of the woman's true nature?

Zhang Chenric then let go of Liu Lingli's arm while he continued staring at her with eyes full of disgust.

"If I were you, you better not involve yourself with that sick woman." Zhang Chenric gave Gianna a warning before he locked the door behind him and headed toward the elevator. He must move to a new location now or heaven knows what other crazy things Liu Lingli will do to demand his attention.

As soon as Zhang Chenric disappeared from their sights. Gianna turned to Liu Lingli to ask if she was okay.

"I am okay now. Thank you." Liu Lingli tried to sound really sweet and shy when she answered Gianna's query.

Gianna slightly nodded her head and said, "That's good to know. Anyway, you better go home now and take a rest. Stress is bad for a pregnant woman." Gianna then forced a smile, as if it was a genuine concern she was showing.

After hearing the other woman's concern, Liu Lingli can't help but feel victorious inside. The woman believed in her lie. At least now, she had someone to testify against Zhang Chenric's violence. Using her uncle's influence and the woman's testimony, she can now control the prosecutor.

"Thank you for your concern. Yes stress is bad for me and the baby." Liu Lingli then rubbed her tummy as if there was really a life inside her womb. She then slightly lowered her head down before she proceeded to walk toward the elevator.

Gianna then thought of the opportunity to get closer to her target.

"Can you go by yourself?" Gianna asked as she ran after the devious woman.

Liu Lingli then smiled cunningly however when she turned around to meet Gianna, that smile instantly vanished.

"I don't want to go home alone but I don't want to bother you either. You need to hurry up, or you will be late for work." Liu Lingli was really proud of her deceiving nature. She believed that the female stranger was already under her manipulation.Little did she know that she was the one who fell into the trap a more experienced manipulator.

"Don't worry about me, I am currently jobless right now. So, I don't have anything important to do today." Gianna answered calmly.

Liu Lingli didn't think twice as she immediately offered the female stranger a job.

"You know what, since you saved me earlier. How about I give you a job in return?" Liu Lingli then flashed a smile.

"Really? Haha, You must be kidding me. Anyway, I helped you because you needed help." Gianna replied, she tried to sound noble yet didn't turn down the job offer.

"This is a one-time big-time job I am offering you. All you have to do is testify against my boyfriend's violence." Liu Lingli said without batting an eye.

Gianna went silent for a while as she had a brief argument with herself. 'Is that even a job?' in the end, Gianna decided to play along with her target.

"You don't have to pay me for that. I will do it, free of charge."

"Thank you! You are one brave woman to go against a prosecutor! Anyway, I will still give you a job. How about you become my personal assistant?"

"I gladly accept!" Gianna said as she smiled widely at her unknowing target. "My name is Gianna. May I know what my benefactor's name is?" Gianna said as she extended her hand.

"Just call me Lady Z." Liu Lingli replied as she shook hands with Gianna.

Hanzo who was watching at them at a close distance couldn't help but be amazed with what happened.

"Whew! Getting the job without even applying for it? That woman was probably born under the lucky star!" He then paused for a while.

"But, I wonder about Prosecutor Zhang's luck... Was he cursed that series of bad luck kept coming his way?" Hanzo murmured to himself as he walked away from the door.
