106 Slip of the tongue

As soon as Wang Reiji got back inside the mansion, she scrapped the idea of calling Rentao after she realized that it was already past midnight time.She needed to take a rest for tomorrow they will start filming the commercial.

She proceeded to take a bath first before she fetched Europa from Wang Yuvin's room. She was really careful not to wake her daughter up. The moment she had laid her body down beside her sleeping daughter, she succumbed to slumber.

Meanwhile, Wang Yuvin was exploring the underground passage. He was able to reach the exit which was just a few meters away from the first gate of the villa. The exit was in the blind spot of the CCTV, no wonder the intruder was able to get in, evading notice. He then promised to himself to deal with the hidden path first thing in the morning. While he was walking his way back to the mansion, he shortly wondered if only their house had a passageway like this, his parents could have escaped the fire.

Zhang Chenric was up early, which was unusual of him. What to do? He can't contain his excitement for the DNA test result will be released today. Poor choices that had lead to irreversible mistakes and unbearable heartbreaks. Too bad that time wasn't mean to turn backward and now all that was left for him was to face the consequences of his past actions.

'Ding Dong!'

The loud sound of the doorbell had abruptly interrupted his thought process. Thinking that it was his assistant, he hurriedly dashed through the door and opened it. To his horror, a familiar figure of a woman threw herself around him.

"Chen! I missed you so much." The woman none other than Liu Lingli whispered softly to his ear.

Recovering from the shock, Zhang Chenric then hurriedly removed the woman's arms around his neck as he pulled his body away from hers. He then quickly pushed the woman out his condo unit and locked the door.

The smile on Liu Lingli's face vanished instantly as she felt the humiliation brought upon by Zhang Chenric's reaction. Didn't he just treat her like dirt? Was she still not good enough for him? She then rang the doorbell nonstop. But in the end, Zhang Chenric chose to ignore her.

Infuriated,Liu Lingli wasn't able to stop her rage and in a loud voice she spoke,"Am I that disgusting to you? How about her? Isn't she more disgusting? She murdered your father! And she left you and eloped with that old Japanese man! Liu Lingli paused for a while to catch her breath. Once okay, she then continued, "She stood you up that day yet you still think about her?"

Right after saying everything inside her chest, Liu Lingli suddenly realized she did a terrible mistake and had started covering her mouth. She was about to fled out of the area when the door of Zhang Chenric's condo unit swung open. Her legs shook the moment she saw anger flashed in the man's eyes.

"What did you just say? How did you know that she stood me up?" Zhang Chenric then grabbed her by the arm and roared, "Tell me! What do you know?!" Zhang Chenric failed to keep his cool with what he had heard from Liu Lingli. He was sure that their meeting that day was a secret only known to Wang Reiji and him. But how come this woman knew of it too?

"I- I" Liu Lingli was at loss for words. She just ruined herself because of her talkative mouth. Now, Zhang Chenric would be totally disgusted with her.

"Answer me!" Zhang Chenric's grip on her arm tightened.

"Let go of her!" A woman's voice thundered in the hallway.

Zhang Chenric and Liu Lingli then turned their heads toward the direction of the voice.

Seeing an opportunity to seek help, Liu Lingli with her crocodile's tears pleaded the woman to save her.

"Please help me, my boyfriend wanted to hurt me and our baby!" Liu Lingli fabricated a lie with ease.

Horror registered on Zhang Chenric's face upon hearing the ridiculous lie that came out from the woman's mouth.

"Liar! You are just making things up!" Zhang Chenric fired back.

Gianna twitched her lips, she somehow felt that the woman in front of her had just lied to her. However, she decided to turn a blind eye for the woman was her target. What she needed to do now was to impress her with fighting skills in order to get inside Huang Protection Agency.
