89 Prosecutor Zhang Is Back

Looking dignified in a black long sleeve under a pair of a beige colored business suit, Zhang Chenric had just checked out from the hotel. Tonight, he will secretly return to Beijing for the upcoming masquerade ball. Although the preparation was already taken care by his assistant, he still wanted to make sure that everything will happen according to what he had planned.

While he was on his way to the airport, Lee Qingya, his assistant phoned him. He was asking Zhang Chenric if what time he should be picked up from the airport.

"No need to pick me up. My flight back to Beijing must be a secret.I'll just head back home by myself."

"You can't do that young master! You can't come to your house. These past few days, a black van was seen roaming around the area."

Zhang Chenric wrinkled his forehead.

Why was a black van allowed inside the vicinity? Where were the guards?

"Looks like there is a breach in security. I will personally deal with this matter."

"Ah, young master actually the black van is from Huang Protection Agency. Looks like Lady Xur is really serious on making you her escort for the ball so she asked her people to check your place out from time to time."

Annoyed, Zhang Chenric massaged the temples of his head. What does she want from him? Didn't he tell her that he's not interested, even the slightest, with her? Can't she understand that his heart only belonged to only one person?

"Don't worry, young master. I have already prepared a different place for you to stay in for the meantime."

"Alright, then just send me the details of the place after this call. I'll come there by myself. Also, keep an eye on that black van. Any update on the poor village fire?"

"Aside from the fact that your father tampered with the fire incident report. I haven't gathered any new--"

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Tremendously shocked and confused with his assistant's revelation, Zhang Chenric wasn't able to hold back his emotions.

"Don't get angry young master, I'm really doing my best to gather new lead."

"I'm not referring to that! What did you mean by father tampered the documents?!"

"Don't tell me young master haven't read the documents yet? It was in the documents I brought to your study room."

"What are you talking about? That was not stated in the documents! Don't test my patience, Lee Qingya!"

The pitiful assistant can only swallow an invisible lump in his throat because of too much fright and nervousness when the young master had called him by his full name -- meaning, Prosecutor Zhang Chenric was really furious.

Sensing that the person on the other line was too frightened to speak, Zhang Chenric forced a deep sigh out to soothe his raging mind.

"This is a serious matter. Let's not talk about this over the phone. Wait for my call. I will contact you right away when I arrived."

Zhang Chenric did not bother to wait for his assistant's reply. He immediately ended the phone call and averted his attention the window view of the car he was currently in.

Inside a fancy restaurant, Hanzo sat comfortably on a couch while sipping his white wine. He then glanced down at his wristwatch before his eyes scanned the room to search for the person he'll meet up with.

This afternoon he'll meet up with Wang Reiji and bring her to where Gianna was staying. He was told that Gianna's mission was very dangerous. One wrong move can cause her death. That's why before sending Gianna to hell, they will have to devise the perfect plan first.

He was in deep thought that he did not notice the woman walking straight toward him. Without any warning, the woman sat down on the couch as if she was an invited guest. Surprised, Hanzo furrowed his brows and spoke.

"Excuse me, miss. But that's seat's already taken. Actually, that's for my boss. I'm afraid that I need to ask you to vacate that."

But instead of asking for an apology and leaving right away, the woman laughed out loud and poured some white wine into the glass. She then drank the contents, completely disregarding Hanzo's warning. However, she seemed unsatisfied so she poured some wine again.

"You! That's for us! Leave now or I will call the security."

The woman laughed again as if mocking Hanzo. He was about to explode in anger when he suddenly realized that the laughter seemed familiar.

"How dare you call me boss when you can't even recognize me?" Wang Reiji said as she removed her aviator sunglasses and drank some more wine.

Hanzo's eyes almost fell out of their sockets when he heard the woman spoke. He fixed his eyes on the person in front of him and asked.

"B-boss? Is that you, boss?"
