Within a span of an hour, Rentao and Oriental Europa's marketing team had managed to spread the news about the masquerade ball.

Soft copies of the invitation had been sent to the guests while the hard copies were already on their way.

Rentao wasted no time as he rushed back to his boss' office to present the proposal. They only have less than four weeks before the pre-opening. Since its an advertisement, choosing the right person to represent Oriental Europa was imperative to boost their popularity in the entire nation.

He was about to knock on the door when his phone rung. The ringtone was enough to inform him that CEO Wang's calling. Rentao immediately took his phone out of his pocket and picked up the call.

"Rentao, I just left the office. I'll be back after lunch."

Before Rentao can open his mouth to speak, Wang Reiji had already ended the call. He can only scratch his head in confusion. Nevertheless, he entered his boss' office and placed the proposal on top of the table.

Kiang Leilei had just finished eating her breakfast. Today, she decided to enroll herself in Jicheng Zhe University and afterward proceed to the security bureau to give her statement on yesterday's incident. She also dismissed her grandfather's idea of seeing a psychologist. No need for her to get counselling. She knew herself well enough, she's a mentally strong young woman.

The instant she stepped out of the Kiang's mansion, her right eyebrow rose a notch. She almost forgot, because of what happened yesterday, her grandfather insisted on providing her with bodyguards. Even though she's against the idea, she wasn't able to do anything about it.

There were more or less 15 men in black suit waiting for her. They were standing on both sides of the pathway, making her look like a mafia boss once she moved past them.

"Good morning Miss Kiang!" The men greeted in unison.

Kiang Leilei, seemingly unimpressed, ignore their greetings and asked a question instead.

"Let us make things clear. What are your tasks?"

The guys nearest her gave her an answer right away.

"Miss Kiang, with due respect, we are tasked to keep you safe at all times. It's also our task to obey your commands."

The last sentence of the guy etched a faint smile on Kiang Leilei's lips.

Really? Obey her commands?

It didn't take her long enough to figure out how to get rid of her bodyguards.

"Since you said it yourself, that obeying my commands is also your task, I, therefore, command all of you to scram. And I don't want you guys following me around like dogs."

Kiang Leilei then dashed her way to her cabriolet, leaving behind the baffled bodyguards.
