59 Blank Cheques

Wang Yuvin acknowledged the old man by slightly nodding his head. Seems like the rise to fame of the Wang surname was inevitable due to Oriental Europa's upcoming pre-opening. Almost all the rich clans in Beijing already booked a room or two, some even booked an entire floor, hoping to be noticed by the CEO, his sister, Wang Reiji.

Well, you can't blame these rich folks. A partnership with his sister can help make a local business go global since she's already an established hotelier in the west. Financially speaking, the Wangs getting attention from possible partners and investors was a good idea. However, privacy wise? Not good. A very terrible idea rather.

His train of thoughts halted when the head manager asked him to enter the VVIP room.

The VVIP room was big, not too empty. There was no tv, but in the middle of it was an empty platform, a mini stage.

The room's interior decor was pleasing to the eyes especially the white linen curtain that blended perfectly well with the charcoal grey couch and the elegant contemporary chandelier. Also, the red and gold China European carpet matched the vintner wall color.

"Is the room to your liking Mr. Wang? Actually this is the most expensive and most secured room in The Hideout. Aside from its elegant interior decorations, the room is soundproof and equipped with the latest technology."

Right after telling Wang Yuvin the other features of the room, the head manager clapped his hands twice. The linen curtain opened and revealed a gorgeous sky painted in a blush of scarlet and touch of tangerine.

As soon as the warmth of the sun penetrated the ceiling to floor windows, Wang Yuvin paused to admire the breathtaking display of radiant colors. After the tragic fate of his parents, it was only now that he noticed the beauty of sunrise again.

He exhaled with a relief, though the wounds of the past refused to heal, they do not hurt that much anymore. Looks like the heavy feeling in his heart had slowly begun to fade.

"I kinda like the room. But I have a question, can I make some modifications? You know, to better suit my liking?" Wang Yuvin asked calmly as he stared straight into the head manager's eyes.

The head manager went silent for a few seconds. He tried to keep his eye contact casual, but unfortunately, Wang Yuvin had already taken notice of his hesitation, confirming Wang Yuvin's suspicion.

Secured room? The moment Wang Yuvin stepped inside the room, he already noticed 5 hidden cameras. Looks like The Hideout's a shady business after all.

If his deductions were accurate, The Hideout was a place where rich people can do all sorts of transactions without worries, provided they shut The Hideout with a large sum of money.

"Was my question too difficult to answer?" Wang Yuvin spoke once more, this time his calmnesswas replaced by intimidation, projecting an aura that can cut off a person's supply of oxygen.

The head manager glanced down at the floor as if searching for options. He was more likely weighing the pros and cons of allowing Wang Yuvin's idea.

In his 10 years of working for The Hideout, this was the first time that a client asked for room modifications. Though the Wangs are just new in Beijing, he just can't ignore the fact that they are well known overseas and by the Beijing elites. Offending them would probably affect the management's dream of expanding globally. No matter what happens, establishing a good connection with the Wang family should become the top priority.

"That's possible Mr. Wang. However, we will not shoulder the cost of modifications. Also, you need to pay extra so we can push through with the changes." After an intense discussion with himself, the head manager finally came up with an answer.

"Money will never be an issue. Just name the price." Wang Yuvin briefly answered as he placed two blank cheques on the top of the center table.

The eyes of the head manager almost fell out their sockets the moment he saw the blank cheques. Was this young man in front of him for real?

Even though the old man looked amazed, he still failed to hide his puzzlement. Why are there two cheques?

"Just in case, you are wondering why there are two cheques, one cheque for The Hideout and the other one is for you." Wang Yuvin said as he snapped his fingers loudly, closing the linen curtain and concealing the sky view.

"Oh, I still have another concern. Is it also possible that I will be allowed to create our contract?"

The head manager was once again dumbfounded but this time fear had already crept in. The guy in front of him was not an average rich kid. He knows what he wants and he knows how to get them. That's scary. He's got the wit and the guts plus his family's wealth. A terrifying combination. Getting in this young man's bad side's a horrible idea. He might be judging him harshly, but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

"No problem with that Mr. Wang. You can do whatever your heart's desire."

The head manager quickly answered, trying to please Wang Yuvin.

"Oh, that's cool. I'll be back tonight with the contract." Wang Yuvin answered as he walked toward the door of the VVIP room. He was about to step outside when the head manager spoke. He stopped on his track to face the old man.

"Mr. Wang, are you really serious on leaving two blank cheques behind?"

"I don't want to sound rude but, looks like you need to have your ears checked, head manager. I already told you didn't I?Money will never be an issue."

After leaving the old man in awe with his answer, Wang Yuvin went ahead to exit the room. Five years ago, money was a perpetual problem when he was still a farmer's son. But it's different now. Money was never an issue, especially for a diamond dealer's son and a hotelier's brother.
