Chapter 655: Fan Site Manager

The next day, everyone woke up as per usual and did their morning routines. But unlike the guys who were doing their morning training, the girls were currently in their beauty rest. They were quite tired after all of the recent events that happened in the academy so they were taking advantage of this free time to relax.

Dug! Dug-dug! Dug!

But unlike the other girls who were still in their bed, Lorraine was currently running up the stairs early in the morning, disturbing the other girls.

Bang!

And the room that she entered was where Cloe was staying. "Hey, Cloe! You, traitor! How can you leave me behind when you are doing something like that with the guys!"

Ugh!

Hearing Lorraine's shouting, Cloe couldn't help but frown quite deeply before further burying herself in her bed. "Why are you shouting early in the morning? I'm still too tired so let me have more sleep. We can talk about it later."

Unfortunately for her, Lorraine had no intention of letting her go and quickly entered the room before grabbing Cloe's blanket and pulling it from her. "No! I will not let you sleep! I feel betrayed! How dare you leave me behind!"

Since it was impossible for her to sleep with Lorraine's constant bothering, Cloe had no choice but to sit up and look at Lorraine with sleepy eyes. "Hey! Can you be a little reasonable? How can we invite you when you have your own Adventurer Team, to begin with?"

"I can just simply quit if you tell me about it!" said Lorrain without any hint of hesitation.

Hearing that, Cloe couldn't help but roll her eyes at Lorraine while saying. "As if it is that easy. You are the commander of the team, remember?"

"Well, I just joined the team since my family insisted that I take over the commanding position. But now that I've already done enough, I think I can now tell my dad that I don't want the role anymore," replied Lorraine in a nonchalant manner while shrugging her shoulders.

"Whatever! Just leave me alone!" said Cloe before laying down on her bed again and planning to go back to sleep.

But before she could even close her eyes, she suddenly remembered something and quickly said. "Oh! That's right! I heard that Shin and the others were planning to be partnered with your team, so I don't think there is really a need for you to leave your team."

"Partnered? How come I don't know about that?" asked Lorraine while knitting her brow.

Cloe didn't have the energy to talk right now so she just answered unconsciously. "Your team is being pressured by some powerful guilds, isn't it? And you are looking for a new place to garrison into, I heard your team just got accepted by Shin to garrison in his town."

"Oh! About that. Are you talking about our deal with Calderock Town? It is indeed a pretty good location for our relocation. And I also heard that it is about to be promoted into a city and relocated to a better map, so I agree with it," said Lorraine while nodding her head.

But not long after, she suddenly remembered something and asked confusedly. "But I heard that the town is owned by the Nameless Swordsman. So, how come you are saying that it is Shin's-...?"

Her words trailed in the air for a couple of moments and suddenly realized something. "Eh!? Could it be!?"

At that point in time, Cloe suddenly opened her eyes wide as she also realized her carelessness. She quickly sat up straight before saying. "Huh? Did I say something? I think I am really sleepy and started saying random things."

"Is that so?" said Lorraine with a knitted brow before slowly nodding her head. "Yeah, it is probably the case. How can Shin be-…"

Cloe was about to sigh in relief when she saw Lorraine seemed to buy what she just said. But before she could finally rejoice, Shiella suddenly appeared in front of her room with a cup of tea in hand before leaning on the doorway. "But why do I feel that you are wide awake?"

Seeing her, Cloe immediately knew that there was no way for her to escape this situation. She tried to smile and slowly lied down, wanting to use the words 'going back to sleep' as an excuse.

Unfortunately, Shiella would naturally not let Cloe escape like that which was why she quickly appeared beside the latter's bed before pulling the poor girl up. "Not so fast, sleeping beauty! You will not be able to sleep unless you talk more about what you just said regarding my 'loving' little brother."

With that, Cloe only wore an awkward smile before asking meekly. "Can we not do this, Big Sister Shiella? You are aware that I don't want Shin to be mad at me, aren't you?"

"And you are not afraid to get on my bad side?" asked Shiella in return while raising her eyebrow.

Hearing that, Cloe had no other choice but to nod her head while silently apologizing inside her head. 'I'm sorry Shin but I think I need to confess to Big Sister Shiella for now.'

In the meantime, Shin who just finished taking a quick bath after his morning training suddenly felt an intense shiver that ran through his back. "Huh!?"

Then Shin's face suddenly started twitching before saying with a weird face. "Why do I feel that something is about to happen today?"

"Let's just hope that it is not a disaster this time," he said to himself while shaking his head.

After putting on some comfortable clothes, he immediately went to the first floor and headed to the kitchen to prepare their breakfast just like usual.

But while he was passing through the living room, he couldn't help but knit his brow as he saw that only Arthur and Leonard were the ones waiting for their breakfast. "Just the two of you? Where are the others? Don't tell me they are still asleep?"

Seven o'clock in the morning was still too early for most of the people. But for Martial-Artists like them, this time of waking up was already late, especially for the most disciplined ones.

Hearing that, Arthur took his eyes away from the virtual screen in front of him before turning to Shin. "Molton left before dawn with his sister. He said that they have a family meeting later, so they need to prepare a couple of things before attending."

"As for the Valentine cousins, they left with your Senior Brother, saying that they were going to look for a better place for a 'little' sparring.  That guy Elijah Knight who slept over last night also left alongside them," he added while leaning on the sofa.

Then Arthur turned silent for a couple of moments before quickly asking. "Hey! You didn't forget what I've said, did you? About meeting our webpage manager."

"Yeah, yeah! You said it multiple times already! How can I forget about it when I keep on hearing it from you?" answered Shin as he continued walking towards the kitchen. "What do you want for breakfast?"

"Just prepare whatever you want," replied Arthur in a nonchalant manner. And quickly after that, he turned his attention back to the virtual screen and immersed himself in reading the articles in the online forums.

Meanwhile, in the headquarters of the True Sight Industries, Miss Bunny seemed to be in a good mood as she was hopping her way towards her office.

"Good morning~!" she greeted, right after opening the door.

With how loud her voice was, it was pretty natural for all of the people inside the office to look at her while wearing weird looks on their faces.

"Looks like something good happened, huh? Did you get another bonus from the boss?" said the man who had the nearest desk to the door while smiling at her.

"Nope!" said Miss Bunny with a huge smile as she entered and headed towards her own desk.

Hearing her reply, the others couldn't help but knit their brows before looking at each other with weird looks on their faces.

Then one of Miss Bunny's colleagues suddenly asked as she couldn't help but become curious. "Then what is, Senior? Can you not tease our curiosity and tell us about it already?"

"Should I? But it is not specifically good for you guys?" asked Miss Bunny back with a mystifying tone.

Hearing her words, everyone couldn't help but become confused which also further aroused their curiosity.

"What did the Director say to make you so happy but also not good for us?" asked another girl as she slightly leaned over her desk.

"Is it a promotion?" said the man who had his desk right beside Miss Bunny's desk.

Seeing that everyone seemed to be pretty interested, Miss Bunny suddenly pursed her lips before asking them one more time. "You guys really wanted to hear it?"

Then everyone simultaneously nodded their heads with impatient looks on their faces, signifying that they were urging her to start talking already.

Miss Bunny swept her gaze on everyone while raising her eyebrows. She then put up her brightest smile before answering. "I just submitted my resignation letter, so I will no longer be working for this company starting today."
