387 Battle of the Junior Monsters

Few distances away from the Leon Tribe's Household, the old monsters of the Elder Council were seemingly enjoying the show.

"Looks like little Nathan really wants to wipe the Leon Tribe from the get-go, huh?" muttered Professor Plum while stroking his beard.

Hearing that, General Samuel immediately refuted. "I highly doubt that those cunning guys will send more agents than they have assigned here. Those guys are so ruthless that they are going to abandon a piece that already lost its purpose."

Hearing him, the others nodded their heads as an acknowledgement.

While these three old men were discussing, another elder suddenly arrived. And when the others felt his presence, they gave him a sidelong glance before General Samuel suddenly asked. "How is the other side is going?"

This new elder that arrived was Galileo Freeman, Leonard's martial-art master. And when heard that question, he immediately replied. "Well, Bernard is doing good so far for blocking those people from the Shadow Alliance," while walking beside the three.

When he stood alongside the three, he suddenly added. "Old Hermit and Old Luvenia are on overseeing that side, so we don't have much to worry about them."

Then he squinted his eyes and looked at the ongoing battle in a distance while asking. "The Old Monsters from this side are still not making their moves? That is quite old given their hot-blooded tempers."

Professor Plum nodded his head when he heard those words. "That is why this is quite odd. Those guys are most probably plotting something against us, so it is better if we act a little careful this time."

Hearing him, the other three nodded their heads heavily. And together with that, Old Benn suddenly took a couple of steps forward while saying. "If that is the case, then it is better for me to start setting up my formations as precautions."

Meanwhile, the group on Shiella's side also started their own 'party'. Explosions were coming from every direction as each member of Shiella's group were currently in the middle of a very intense battle against the opposing side.

Though, the most important battle on this side was the showdown between the two 'Junior Monsters' of each group. The battle between the 'Junior Lion King: Alexander Leon' and the 'Junior Dragoness: Shiella Springfield'.

Since the very beginning, she was already getting a very bad feeling from their surroundings. It was as if there was someone observing them from the shadows.

It was quite obvious that those people were the ones sent by the Shadow Alliance to assist these members of the Leon Tribe.

Due to that, Shiella needed to divide her focus while battling against Alexander which led her to be in the backfoot repeatedly.

After stabilizing her footing, Shiella suddenly looked at Alexander with squinting eyes which sent a sudden chill at the latter's spine.

Then Alexander suddenly started laughing while saying. "Hahaha… You almost scared me there. What? Getting angry for finding yourself in a very tough spot? This is your first time isn't it?"

After that, he looked at Shiella from head to toe while adding. "Don't worry, I am not going to kill after this. After all, it is going to be a huge waste if I don't experience enjoying your body."

Right after those words left his mouth, a sudden explosion of powers was released from Shiella's body while also emitting a very intense killing intent at the same time.

At the same time, a multicolored Internal Qi suddenly enfolded her body while dancing along the wind like a blazing flame.

After that, Shiella looked at Alexander with an even fiercer look while saying. "Is that so? Well, too bad for you – I don't have a plan to let you live after this."

Then both of them took their battle stances once again while releasing their Battle Spirits (Higher Form of Aura Manifestation) at the same time.

And this time, Alexander didn't dare to lower his guard even for a little since he knew that Shiella was most likely going after him with a full force.

The first one to recover was Shiella and she immediately pulled her right arm backwards while also turning her body alongside it. At the same time, she was also moving her right foot to follow her spinning movement before throwing a back kick with that foot.

That was the time when Alexander just recovered from the impact of their previous collision. And since he was a tad too late, he didn't have enough time to throw a counterattack at Shiella.

Given that, he didn't have any other choice but to defend her kick while bracing himself at impact.

Alexander was still sent flying backwards even if he managed to block the kick in time. But he was already expecting that – so, he immediately did a multiple flip in the air to lessen the force received by his body from that previous attack.

And when his feet landed back on the ground, he immediately spread his legs outwards and lowered his hips to strengthen his center of gravity. At the same time, crossed his arms above his head while enfolding them with an even greater amount of Natural Force.

And that was when Shiella's leg landed on his crossed arms, dropping a powerful axe kick from the air.

Alexander absorbed all of the force from that powerful kick and immediately sent them on the ground beneath his feet. And due to those actions, a pair of spiderweb cracks were formed on the spot where he was standing before spreading outwards.

After successfully negating the force that he got from that drop kick, Alexander immediately turned his arms and faced his palms towards the sky before clasping them together.

He was planning to grab Shiella's ankle and locked it with his hands. Unfortunately, Shiella was fast enough to read his moves and immediately threw a kick with her other foot while doing a flip in the air.

Her kick landed below Alexander's crossed arms and caused them to separate with each other which also prevented her ankle from being grabbed by Alexander's hands.

Meanwhile, Alexander moved his arms according to their separating momentum. And after relieving the force that his arms got from that kick, he immediately positioned his hands beside his waist while taking a deep breath.

Then he predicted where Shiella was going to land before throwing a powerful punch pointing at that direction. And alongside that punch, a powerful Natural Force was released from his fist and formed a spherical energy that flew towards Shiella's landing spot.

Shiella's peripheral vision saw Alexander preparing a strong Martial-Art Skill while she was still doing a flip in the air.

Given that, she immediately used the momentum of her flip to do a few backward rolls in the air while focusing a bunch of Natural Force on her right leg.

And when the accumulation of powers reached its peak, she used the momentum of her aerial roll to throw a powerful kick while also releasing the accumulated Natural Force at the same time.

Right after being released, her Natural Force left an irregular curving trail of light on its path as if it was a body of a serpent flying on the sky.

On the next instant, the forefront of her released Natural Force suddenly formed a head of a dragon who was opening its jaws as it fell towards the incoming energy sphere with a huge size.

With that, Shiella managed to safely land on the ground. And right after her foot touched the ground once again, she immediately flicked her ankles and launched herself towards her opponent once again.

And right after she broke through the cloud of smoke created by the previous explosion, Shiella was immediately greeted by an incoming fist that was coming after her face.

Seeing that, Shiella immediately raised her right hand and used its back to deflect the incoming fist.

And right after redirecting the trajectory of that punch, Shiella immediately threw a straight punch with the same hand, targeting her opponent's face.

Unfortunately, it was immediately blocked by Alexander's free hand which also caught her fist. But with a flick of her wrist, Shiella managed to free her fist from being gripped before immediately pulling it backwards.

After that, they immediately engaged in another close-quarter combat which signaled another round of their battle.

Their melee exchange lasted for a few more minutes before Shiella felt some slight movements on the dark side of their surroundings.

And when she sensed those movements, her face suddenly turned solemn as she muttered to herself. "So, they are finally making their moves? Then this is about to get messy."
