Chapter 3

As I stared blankly at them, Rebecca whispered quietly in my ear.

“Her name is Princess Lilia Diollus and the other one is Prince Ricky Diollus, children of Duke Diollus VII and your godfather my lady. They were born and raised as if they were your brother and sister, but they’re really your aunt and uncle. By any chance, do you remember them?”

What the hell is she talking about? The only thing that registered inside my head from all of the things that Rebecca whispered, was her last question.

Roughly from what I understood, based on the atmosphere, we seemed to have a relationship like a brother and sister…….

I’m not sure about the situation, but I can definitely feel their hostility towards me.  Because if we normally had a good relationship, there is no way that they would have said such things to someone who just survived death.

“Oh, are you going to kill yourself again?”

Ricky, the boy who was sitting proudly with his legs crossed, picked up a cookie from the table, and put it in his mouth as he pretended to vomit.

“Did you just eat something like this, before you jumped into the pond? That’s why you gained too much weight.”

“Rubette, did you jump into the pond yesterday because Cedric asked you to stay away from him,since he felt disgusted seeing your face?”

Lilia took another sip of her drink, and asked with a smirk on her face, as if it was funny.

I couldn’t understand why they were so hostile, but one thing was certain.

‘That this Lady was definitely harassed and bullied.’

Judging from the level of ridicule, it seems that it was not a simple joke. If it had been tolerable, she wouldn’t have thrown herself into the pond with the intention of dying.

The owner of this body might have come to a point where she couldn’t tolerate it anymore.

Ricky suddenly laughed.

Then he sat right next to me, as he reached out to my stomach and pinched it fiercely.

“Ouch!”

‘What the hell is he doing?’

The prank, which was quite powerful, was painful enough to bring tears into my eyes, and the feeling that I had right now was worse than pain.

I, Juliet Karenina, swear that I have never been treated like this in my life.

Envy and jealousy toward the famous me were common, but I was not embarrassed to think that even that was a problem that I had to deal with because I was so perfect.

But what is this? Even though I’m not familiar with this kind of treatment, I wouldn’t be able to handle this with just me saying ‘I’m good’.

These young demons were busy laughing and mocking the person in front of them.

Rebecca bit her lip terribly with a sad expression, as she looked at me being harassed  by these two. She said that she was my personal maid, but I know that she has no position to help me out.

“Hey, where the hell is your neck? Let’s see, shall we find our lost Rubettes’ neck?”

Ricky, who continued to laugh at me, tried to reach me out, towards my chin this time.

Pak!

But before he could reach me, I immediately slapped his hand painfully and shook it off. Ricky’s eyes widened.

“What are you?”

It’s too early to be surprised.

Slap!

As I swung my hand with full force to slap Ricky’s cheek, his fragile-looking head turned beautifully.

“Gasp!”

“You, crazy……”

Rebecca covered her mouth in surprise, and Lilia flinched in shock.

If I had slapped him with my original slender hand, it may not hurt him that much, but he was slapped by this thick and strong hand, that would be quite painful for him. In the midst of this, I think I felt the presence of the original soul of this body.

Ricky, who was trembling, slowly grabbed my cheek and turned his bent head to look at me.

“You, you, you…….”

“It’s very unpleasant. If you do this one more time, I will report you for molesting.”

“What, what?”

“Where the hell did you learn to mess with a lady’s body? You’re not young enough, not to know that contact without consent was considered a crime.”

Ricky’s eyes fluttered in embarrassment at my statement. He quickly got up and pointed at me while he trembled with anger.

He looks young, but he’s brain was definitely for a kid. I can’t believe that the words that I can hear from you are, “I’m going to tell my mom!”

His fighting that rose up above his head, slowly decreased, as if he was poured with cold water on him, and his anger finally dissipated.

What the hell am I gonna with these guys?

“Well, go ahead. Instead, if you do something like this again, I will not overlook it anymore. I will show you that life is a real battle, so you better prepare yourself.”

“You.. You… What the hell are you talking about you pig!”

“Ricky, come on now, let’s get out of here. The counselor already mentioned about her being crazy. As soon as Mother comes back, we will go and tell her right away.”

“Did you… hear that, you are so dead! You’ll see!”

Lilia drove the excited Ricky out of my room immediately.

A still silence echoed inside my room, after the sudden raging storm.

Meanwhile, Rebecca was still looking at me with her mouth shut.

“Ah, ah, my lady…….”

Judging from her reaction, it seems that the series of situations when I slapped Ricky on the cheek and made a threatening statement were never something the owner of this body would do.

Feeling exhausted for a moment, I lay flat on my back and told Rebecca.

“Would it be okay if you can go out first? I’m still in a crazy dream right now, so I need to wake up from it soon. I’ll just take a nap first.”

Rebecca hesitated a little, but then she nodded and left the room. I forced myself to fall asleep, as I closed my eyes.

This situation right now seems so real… But then I really hoped that all of this was just a dream.

I was in despair, as I alternated my gaze between the dimmed window and the mirror. Even when I woke up, I still looked unfamiliar.

“This is crazy…… really”

As I look at my reflection in the mirror, I can only see the ugly and dull looking girl. I was no longer the celebrity, Juliet Karenina.

It was at that time, when tears formed in my eyes, as complicated details came into mind.

Suddenly, something black and squishy-looking popped out of my head.

“Oh shit!”

Surprised, I screamed and stood still.

At first glance, it seemed like a black mass of filth from a garbage dump, but it was completely separated from my head and gradually took shape.

“Oh, my god. oh my god. Please…….”

As I stepped backwards in surprise, I felt more like fainting.

It’s wasn’t long before it gained it’s full shape.….

‘What the hell is that!’

Is that a human? No, it sort of looks like it, but then again, it’s not.

A black, sticky-looking skin and muscular body. The place where the eyeballs should have been is empty, the nose has only two holes, and the white tongue protruding from the ripped mouth fluttered.

It looked like a terrifying alien from a movie somewhere.

“Stay away from me! Don’t come closer!”

“Wait a minute. Calm down. Don’t be afraid, Juliet Karenina.”

Alien said it, as it followed me around, when I sprinted out to get away from it.

“Ha, how can I calm down! Just look at what you look like!”

“Aha.”

The alien suddenly stopped and stood still, as it tapped it’s finger once. Then a magical sensation happened.

‘Wait, is it changing appearance?’

The alien then turned into a strange looking man, to whom I have never met before.

It is now in the form of a man with thick brown hair and dazzling blue eyes, he seemed to be at the same age as the owner of this body that I possessed.

“Are you okay with this? It’s the face of Cedric Reijer, which Rubett likes the most.”

“…….”

I began to take a deep breath to calm down myself, in the unbelievable and unrealistic situation that I was facing.

Maybe it’s because of the appearance of an alien that looks like a human? My heart, which was beating with excitement, calmed down slowly.

I felt like it wouldn’t be strange anymore, if another alien suddenly appeared because I had already been through this absurd situation.

“Whew……”

I voiced out silently.

“I’m not sure if it’s the owner’s taste for men….”

“…….”

“….. Cause, It’s not my taste.”

“….. What?”

People here only speak Korean. And that’s why I asked him that way so that he could understand.

“Ahm, uh, I kind of like…… those that are more mature? Good body? Well, that’s my criteria for a perfect guy.”

“Aha.”

In the midst of this, the alien who dazedly looked at me, slowly absorbed what I told him, as he tapped his finger again.

As I requested, he changed into the form of a young man this time.

He was a handsome young man, with pretty silver hair and golden eyes. He definitely looked strong and mighty, who took off his shirt, just to show it off.

“Oh, my God……”

Surprised by how handsome the alien was, I suddenly forgot the seriousness of the situation, as I looked at his face as if I had been possessed.

The alien grinned as if he was satisfied with my reaction.

“He’s famous for being the most handsome guy in this Empire. Prince Lark van Raschmach Descartes.”

“…… Okay. This face is definitely my cup of tea.”

“Thank you.”

I hate to admit it, but I needed to agree. As I nodded obediently, while smiling at him.

And then.

“You.”

Just in case he would run away, I immediately approached him and grabbed him by the neck.

“……..”

“Obviously, you just called me by my real name ‘Juliet Karenina’. So that means, you know why I am trapped in this dreamlike reality?”

The alien, who was staring down at me with a handsome face, answered with a strange look.

“…… Right.”
