35 Lord Casper

Mike let go of the now dried up corpse of the guard and looked over at Serina that was busy eating the corpse of another guard, leather armor and all

"You're going to get a stomach ache from that Serina…"

Serina gave a ruff and continued eating, almost as she was saying 'I know but it's so good that I don't care' Mike gave a sigh and slightly turned his attention away from the grizzly sight before he pulled up his facemask and looked up before he gave a few hand signals to Julie that was flying overhead before he stepped on the fallen torch extinguishing it at once making him and Serina disappear under the curtain of the moonless night…

The night was far from over and the amount of blood that had yet to be spilled was still a lot as Mike and Serina went through the entire manor like specters harvesting the mortals with wild abandon after all Mike had received orders from the elder that the manor should be turned into a ghost house over the span of a night while leaving no one alive, thus when Mike left the servants sleeping quarters behind there was no one inside that still drew breath, he gave a smile as he thought

'I wonder what it'll take for Julie to wear a maid uniform for me..?'

Mike thought and thought while he murdered away by picking off the still patrolling guards in silence but by his twenty-second kill he was still blank so he decided to drop it

'Oh well… She's plenty cute however she dresses'

Mike and Serina neared the sleeping quarters of the lord, the manor had since turned quiet and right now there was probably only about ten people that still drew breath within the manor, Mike sneaked up to the door to the lord sleeping quarters and heard a voice inside

"---Thus I command thy, from a spear to pierce my enemies!"

Mike felt a chill and quickly moved away from the door that was then skewered by large earth spears followed by a angry voice from inside

"I know you are there assassin!"

'Well shit… Well, him knowing doesn't change anything…'

Mike walked forwards and kicked in the door, inside was lord Casper that widened his eyes slightly when he saw Mike before he pointed at him and yelled

"You're that demon!"

Mike looked around and saw five young women each clad in sleepwear wielding weapons before he looked straight at lord Casper and removed his face mask

"None other"

At the same time he gestured for Serina to remain hidden before he kicked off the ground and charged at lord Casper that quickly chanted

"Fire, become my wall!"

Then a giant wall of fire formed blocking Mike from approaching closer, at the same time two of the women charged at Mike from two sides and slashed out at him with practiced movements of their swords, effectively trapping him from three sides and forcing him back

'They're all level 2 huh…'

Mike stepped back dodging out of the way of their slashes, as he did lord Casper chanted again

"Water, become my spear to pierce my enemies!"

Then a spear of highly compressed water shot out after Mike, Mike ducked under the spear before it flew straight through the wall behind him, then he yelled

"Hey hey that's dangerous!"

Lord Casper gave a sneer and yelled back

"That's because it's meant to be you dip---"

*SHATTER*

Suddenly the sound of glass shattering sounded out from behind lord Casper, the window he had had his back to suddenly shattered to pieces as a figure flew through it, lord Casper quickly chanted

"Fire I command thy become my shie--- AAAGGGHHH!!!"

Before he had a change to finish his chant his arm flew through the air stopping his chant just as it was about to be done, a cold look flashed in Mike's eyes and he kicked off the ground and instantly appeared in front of one of the women and slashed her throat before he sidestepped her and plunged his knife into the heart of one of the other women, the reason he had been able to do this was because they all were distracted by the sudden intruder that slaughtered the other three women in an instant, leaving the last with a big cut on her stomach were her guts came spilling out as she screamed in pain before she grabbed her face and twisted her head clean off instantly silencing the scream, Mike gave a smile and praised the sudden intruder

"Good work Julie"

Julie gave a sweet smile and stepped over the headless corpse as she walked over to Mike and gave him a deep kiss, Mike was surprised for a moment before he also kissed her back with all his might, after awhile she broke the kiss and licked her lips in a rather seductive manor which almost made Mike push her down then and there, but then he remembered that he probably should deal with lord Casper first and walked over to him that still was rolling on the floor clutching his shoulder where his arm had just been cut off, Mike then picked him with the knife and quickly controlled him and gave a command

"Die"

Lord Casper's face twisted with joy before he yelled

"Gladly my lord!"

Then he grabbed his own throat his nails digging into it before he ripped out his own windpipe, a few seconds of choking in his own blood later lord Casper drew his final breath and collapsed on the floor, Mike gave a nod and turned back to Julie

"Let's get out of here"

"Sure Mike"

The massacre in Goulcrest manor quickly spread to the nearby cities, while massacres were somewhat common outside the walls of the secure cities it had been a long time since anyone dared to do anything to a walled city and yet the culprits had gotten away with it scot free, or so they thought for a few days later a group of level 3 [Mage]'s arrived in, they were lead by a man that seemed to be in his early thirties and his entire being leaked a large amount of blood lust when he arrived in the Goulcrest manor before he spoke to the group of [Mage]'s that had followed him to this godforked low mana density island when the life crystal of their expelled second lord expired only a few days ago

"Find out what happened… Oh and pack the body in the carriage so he can get a proper burial back home"

The [Mage]'s bowed deeply, they knew that even though that the second lord had been expelled from the family the current head, his elder brother still cared for him very much, thus when his life crystal shattered they had been teleported here by him personally and they knew they could only return to the contiend when they had produced favorable results

The four level 3 [Mage]'s began their investigation at once and within the hour they all returned to their leader and reported, a cold light flashed in the eyes of the leader before he spoke

"Vampire blade huh… Find out what organization he belongs to"

Mike was of course blissfully unaware of this and after he hurried back to report he was given a short period of rest, after all there was not an overwhelming amount of people that was worth his time to assassinate so Ø gave him a week off which Mike appreciated a lot, right now he was looking up at the ceiling of some unknown inn in Greenvale, the inn was of course the best one could buy with money in all of Greenvale and so Mike was very satisfied with the service and had last night opened a bottle of expensive and intoxicating sweet alcohol with Julie and then…

Well the rest were history, right now she laid next to him sleeping curled up like a kitten, Mike sneaked out of bed and quickly got dressed in some casual clothes before he opened his hand and the knife flew over and landed in his hand before he put in the sheath and steeped out of the room…

When he returned a few minutes later he was carrying two rather big plates of breakfast for him and Julie that now sat on the bed and rubbed her eyes before she suddenly began rubbing her temples and asked Mike

"How much did we drink last night?"

Mike gave a wry smile and handed Julie the plate with breakfast before he answered her question

"A lot? I think it was high prof too"

Julie gave a nod and began eating, Mike sat down next to her and also began eating, soon their stomachs were filled and Julie leaned against Mike before she asked him

"What should we do today?"

"Hmm… How about we walk around the city and shop for a bit, then eat dinner at a café and take it from there?"

Julie gave a sweet smile and spoke

"That sounds like a plan"
