"Please spare me!"

"...Nah~"

Mike stabbed the knife into the heart of the final bandit that was down on his knees begging and watched as the light went out in his eyes before he twisted the knife to be extra sure and pulled it out again as he spoke

"[Drink]"

Mike then gave a sigh and looked around at the carnage that used to be a bandit camp until he and Serina had knocked it over

'Speaking of Serina, what is she doing over there?'

Mike walked over to Serina that stood and looked at a cage with captives in it

"Ah… I see, you are still alive?"

Mike looked at one of the captives, the others were long dead from a mixture of torment and neglect from the bandit's side, but one of them was still alive, she was however playing dead

'Well I would do the same if a half ton wolf sat there and looked at me…'

"Come on get up or I'll get Serina to eat you… It's been a while since she had had a live meal"

The person twitched slightly but still insisted on playing dead, Mike gave a sigh and turned away from the locked cage before he walked over to one of the dead bandits and picked up a key and threw it towards the cell with the girl that still was playing dead inside it before he turned and walked away along with Serina…

After some time passed the girl that used to be the daughter of traveling merchant twitched once again and looked around before her eyes fell on the key to the cage, she then reached out and grabbed it before she unlocked the cage and walked out while nervously looking around at the slaughter until her eyes fell on a particular bandit and hate filled her eyes, then she grabbed a sword that used to belong to said bandit and began stabbing his corpse a few times before she got up and began running in the opposite direction of where the young man that had saved her had disappeared to, she was however fatigued and starving so she soon stopped running as she fell over a root that stuck out of the ground

"Ouch…"

She wiped the dirt off her face before the hairs on her neck suddenly stood up, something primal was warning her, telling her one thing: RUN!, she quickly got up and began running again despite her fatigued body she pushed it to the limit and ran for what felt like forever before she eventually stumbled and fell once again, then she felt a chill down her spine, her instincts were telling her not to turn around but she did so anyway and there it was, the source of her fear a giant blood red wolf that looked at her with cold eyes before it opened its maw and with lightning speed bit down on her as she screamed in fear…

"What are you waiting for Mike?"

"Any second now…"

Mike stood by the road and waited while Julie and her griffon Molly looked at him with mild confusion, just then Serina came running out of the tree line with something in her jaws, Julie looked at Serina and narrowed her eyes slightly before she discovered that it was a teenage girl that had fainted that Serina was carrying in her jaws, Serina ran over and stopped in front of Mike before she let go of the girl that landed roughly on the ground, but alas she still didn't wake up, Mike was about to walk over to her when he felt a cold stare from the side and looked over at Julie that had a frosty look on her face before he asked

"What?"

"... You better explain yourself right now"

"About?"

"What do you plan to do with that girl?"

"Oh that… Well I plan to make her the second of my army"

Julie narrowed her eyes slightly as the frosty aura around her intensified slightly, Mike continued

"That's all, I have no ulterior motives"

Julie stared at Mike for a bit longer before she gave a sigh which made the frosty aura around her disappear, then she asked

"So you plan to use your skill on her?"

"Yeah that was the plan, but first let's get away from the road"

"Okay..?"

At night in a secluded part of a nameless forest a horse scream sounded out, in fact it had been sounding out for nearly half an hour by now, Mike that looked on gave a nod and spoke

"Should be almost done now"

Just as he spoke the girl's chestnut brown hair turned crimson, in fact it seemed so vivid that it looked like fresh, flowing blood. Julie looked on with a slight frown before she asked

"You said you tested this out before right?"

"Yeah, I brought a slave and tested it on her… She should be with Ø now"

"Hmm~ a female slave?"

Mike felt the air get cold around him and quickly explained

"I did nothing to her, I only [Evolved] and [Controlled] her, that's it"

Julie did a huff and turned her head away, she clearly didn't really believe him completely, Mike was about to explain further when suddenly the screaming stopped and both of them looked at the girl that was breathing heavily on the floor of the cave they were in, a red light flashed in the depths of Mike's eyes before a interface popped up in front of him

'Why do I feel like it just puts something to do with blood in there when it evolves a skill?'

"Mike, is something wrong?"

"No it's complete, she has now been [Evolved]..."

As Mike spoke with Julie Elina got up from the floor, or rather she moved from laying on her back to kneeling down in front of Mike as she asked

"What is your command master?"

"For now follow us to Morkove"

"Yes, I understand master"

Julie looked at their exchange before she asked

"What did you do to her to get her to behave like that?"

"I used [Control] on her"

"...Are you going to use that on me too?"

"Nah~ I like you just as you are Julie"

Julie blushed and looked down before she whispered in a very quiet voice

"I like you too…"

Mike gave a wide grin and asked

"What did you say?"

"You heard me you jerk"

Mike gave a laugh which made Julie pout

A few days later Mike, Julie and Elina arrived at Morkove, Julie and Elina was riding together on Molly at Julie's request, no way she was going to let another woman ride together with Mike when she had not even tried it yet, they swiftly passed the inspection and headed into Morkove, Julie went to report to the temple along with Elina meanwhile Mike walked along the street with Serina walking after him, he was feeling slightly nostalgic about being back in Morkove for more than 2 hours (not having to stress about meeting with Julie) and brought some street food which he sheared with Serina before he headed towards the temple with Serina, when he arrived at the temple he walked in along with Serina which made the inside of the temple quiet real fast as they all watched Serina with weariness, both Mike and Serina walked up to the reception where Mike asked the receptionist

"Please show me to Julie's chambers, she should be waiting for us"

The receptionist nodded her head and made a gesture for them to follow as she walked further into the temple, Mike and Serina seared a look before they walked around the reception desk and followed after the nun, after walking for a while they arrived in one of the deepest parts of the temple where the nun stopped in front of a door and spoke in a slightly nervous voice as she glanced at Serina

"T-This is Julie's chambers, now please excuse me…"

Mike gave a nod and watched as the nun half ran past Serina back down the wide and tall corridor they had come from, Mike knocked on the door and soon Julie's voice could be heard from inside to room

"Come in"

Mike opened the door and walked into the room, it was bleak with only a desk, a chair, an east facing window, a dresser and a small one person bed where Julie was sitting talking with Elina

"---And that's why you can't ride with Mike, understand?"

"Yes mistress"

Julie gave a proud smile and a nod, Mike half wanted to ask what they were talking about when Serina suddenly pushed him further into the room before she laid down in a corner of the room, Mike looked back at the two girls and spoke

"Well then, let's get started with your evolution"

Julie gave a sweet smile and a nod

"Sure Mike"
