29 Extermination

Serina shook her head from side to side violently until the poor young Orger's head separated from its body that flew through the air and landed in front of one of the other Orgers, the Orgers were stunned for a moment before they let out roars of anger and charged at Serina while the young ones fled further into the village, at the same time the adventures began their attacks

'Guess it's time…'

Mike kicked off the ground and flew out of the brushes where he had been hiding and danced through the Orgers that were surrounding Serina leaving shallow cuts on their bodies before he arrived at the last Orger in the line and jumped off the ground and stabbed it in the eye before he yelled

"[Drink]"

The Orgers let out squeals as they turned into dried carcasses, Mike didn't stay and watch he, along with Serina used their momentum to charge further into the Orger village while leaving cuts on the Orgers he passed, meanwhile Serina ripped and tore the Orgers to pieces with her claws and maw that was lined with sharp teeth, her fur was an even more livid shard of red now that it was covered in fresh blood, feeling the knife's thirst Mike once again yelled

"[Drink]!"

As he did Serina let out a howl as the fresh blood on her fur seemed to suddenly shiver before it turned into blood crystals and then without warning they shot out turning the surrounding Orgers and even some adventures that happened to be to close into holed strainers before their blood also got absorbed, Mike looked on with a chilling smile on his face before he yelled ignoring the screams from the unlucky adventures that were being drained of blood

"Well done Serina!"

Serina let out a happy bark from being praised before she charged down another Orger and ripped it to shreds, Mike showed a slight smile as he watched before he muttered to himself

"...I should do my best too"

All too soon the Orgers were defeated with minimal casualties on the adventures side, in fact Mike and Serina accounted for most of the casualties on the adventures side which had some of the other adventures peeved, but alas they didn't voice their opinions because the only other level 3 was often seen flirting with the one they wished to exact their vengeance upon and after all provoking one level 3 was bad enough, who in their right mind would provoke two level 3's?

"I am done over here"

Julie walked out of a tent, her sword was covered in blood and there were even slight blood splatter on her silver armor, Mike gave a nod and a smile before he asked her

"What should we do with these?"

Mike pointed to the 20 or so Orgers that had lost their will to fight and were surrounded by adventures

"Well, we divide them… How many do you want Mike?"

Mike paused and looked at the helpless Orgers and quickly realized that the people around him only saw experience and not living beings, then he shook his head and spoke

"Give mine to the friends of those adventures that died in collateral fire"

Julie gave a frown and walked up to him before she put her hand on his cheek and spoke

"That's not your fault Mike, they were weak and had only themselves to blame"

The adventures gritted their teeth but none of them spoke up against Julie, they too knew that this was a world where the strong ruled the weak, Mike gave a smile as a red light flashed in the depths of his eyes

"In that case, I want two"

Julie gave a sweet smile and stroked Mike's cheek for a bit before she took her hand away and gestured for Mike to pick two Orgers, Mike looked at the Orgers and could only see despair in their eyes, then he closed his eyes and took a deep breath through his nose before he quickly opened his eyes and looked at two Orgers and disappeared from view of the normal level 1 and level 2 adventures before he reappeared and spoke out loud

"[Drink]"

Then he sheathed his knife and walked away from the two Orgers that were being drained of blood, Julie asked

"Why did you pick those two?"

Mike showed a smile that chilled the adventures and made Julie's knees weak as a red light shone in the depths of his eyes

"Because their blood smelled the best"

Time passed and eventually the rest of the Orger villages followed the fate of the first, there were a few losses on the adventure's side but nothing major, or at least nothing that affected Mike or Julie's ability to carry out their slaughter of the villages, the normal adventures were basically cannon fodder. Julie brought down her sword as she stabbed it into a fallen Orger that was trying to crawl away, then she pulled it out of the now dead Orger and took out a red piece of cloth before she wiped her sword and looked around before she called out

"I am done over here!"

Serina trotted over and licked her in the face which would be charming if not for the fact that her breath smelled of blood and the piece of fresh meat that was stuck between her teeth

"S-Stop Serina, not right now"

Serina however ignored her and kept licking her face while her tail wagged from side to side, after she was done she walked around Julie a couple of times before she lowered her head and nudged her butt with her nose

"Hey! Don't sniff that place!"

Serina once again ignored Julie's complaints and nudged her along

"Hey Serina! S-Stop!"

Julie complained but still Serina nudged her along, soon they reached where Mike was waiting, Mike looked at them with a grin on his face before Julie looked at him with clear resentment on her face as she asked

"Was it you that made Serina do that?"

Mike gave a nod and tilted his head to the side

"I asked her to get you, because I want to spend time with you, is that wrong?"

Julie blushed slightly, she was still not used to Mike being so honest as he was right now, but she still walked over and took his hands before she spoke while looking at his feet

"I also want to spend time with you…"

Serina let out a ruff as she demanded Mike's attention, Mike kept looking into Julie's eyes until Serina let out another ruff which made Mike give a sigh before he broke eye contact with Julie and looked at Serina that had her tongue hanging out of her mouth as she wagged her tail

"Yes, Yes… You are a very good girl"

Serina let out a bark and lowered her head down so that Mike could pat her, Mike gave a sigh and walked over and patted her on the head before he asked her

"Do you mind if I get back to flirting now?"

Serina let out another bark before she got up again and ran away, jumping around like an oversized puppy, Mike gave a sigh then he turned back to Julie that looked at him with a sweet smile on her face

"You really do spoil Serina too much..."

"Yeah... That I do…"

As the extermination ended the convoy began moving back towards civilized lands, the overall mood was good with the adventures anxiously waiting to see how much experience they had received also this time there was nothing to scout so Julie rode on her griffon with Mike ridding on Serina right next to her, the two of them chatted and laughed but most of the time they flirted with each other, at least until the third day where Mike was unusually silent and kept looking over his shoulder towards the back of the convoy

"Mike… What's wrong?"

"... I think something's following us, something big"

Julie quickly ordered the convoy to stop and from up in a circle, Mike jumped off Serina's back and keeled down before he put his ear on the ground and closed his eyes, Julie noticed what he was doing and yelled for everyone to stand still and keep quiet, soon Mike opened his eyes before he quickly looked at Julie and spoke

"Something big is definitely coming, it's bipedal too… Try to see if you can spot it from the sky"

Julie gave a nod and urged her griffon to take off which it did, from the sky she looked back towards where the convoy had passed and soon spotted a huge figure with two heads and paled, the figure was about 10 meters high and was running after the trail left by the carriages, it had two pig like heads that both wore furious expressions as the giant chased after the convoy, it would soon catch up
