241 A Zombie Appears

The three of them sped through the forest. Just as they left the forest, Shen Fei started to pant heavily, and sweat began to bead on his forehead.

Zhang Yuxin was no better; she was panting and sweating, too.

“Where is this place?” Ye Fei looked around.

They were in a wilderness, with lush vegetation and overgrown weeds. The air was filled with a humid smell.

Shen Fei shook his head, indicating that he did not know.

Just then, a rustling sound came from behind them. Two of them looked behind and were shocked. The skeleton was approaching them with staggering steps.

“This is terrible! Teacher Shen, what should we do?” Zhang Yuxin anxiously called out.

“Don’t worry,” Shen Fei said calmly. “Although this skeleton is powerful, its speed isn’t fast. We will slowly lure it out and find an opportunity to kill it in one fell swoop!”

“Alright!” Zhang Yuxin nodded vigorously.

Shen Fei pulled Zhang Yuxin and continued forward. He pretended not to notice it, but cast a discreet glance behind. As expected, the skeleton behind them was still watching them.

Shen Fei cursed under his breath. Then he whispered some instructions to Zhang Yuxin. Upon receiving his instructions, Zhang Yuxin nodded and quietly moved behind.

Shen Fei took the opportunity to circle around to the back of the skeleton. Then, he suddenly jumped up, and his right fist gathered all of his vital Qi and ruthlessly smashed into the skeleton’s spine.

An explosion reverberated in all directions, and its bones were broken; Shen Fei’s punch had directly shattered the skeleton’s spine. The skeleton wailed in pain and fell to the ground, unable to get up again.

Zhang Yuxin and Ye Fei were both gobsmacked. They gazed at Shen Fei, their faces filled with disbelief. Everything happened too quickly. They did not even have time to react at all.

After a long time, Zhang Yuxin regained her senses and resumed her usual look of admiration for Shen Fei. “Teacher Shen is so strong!” Ye Fei nodded in agreement, her eyes sparkling.

Shen Fei retracted his fist and smiled. He did not say much, but turned his eyes to the skeleton’s body. He squatted down to check and found a blood-red stone embedded in the torso cavity of the skeleton!

The blood-red stone was shaped like a diamond and was about the size of an egg. It had the crystalline appearance of a ruby. There were also some complicated and strange patterns carved on the red stone, which hid some kind of mystery.

Shen Fei tried to touch the red stone and discovered that it had no reaction.

“Huh? Could it be that it’s not a spiritual item?” Shen Fei frowned.

“Teacher Shen, what is this?” Zhang Yuxin asked.

Shen Fei pointed at the red stone and said, “This is a very precious material; it’s necessary for making the spirit feeding pill.”

Hearing this, Zhang Yuxin’s eyes brightened. She impatiently asked, “Teacher Shen, how do I obtain it?”

“First, we have to dig it out,” Shen Fei said.

“Then let’s hurry up and dig,” Zhang Yuxin urged.

“I’ll try.” Shen Fei then took out a dagger and began digging out the red stone. The red stone was very hard. Shen Fei spent a full half hour removing the red stone.

When they saw the red stone, Zhang Yuxin and Ye Fei both exclaimed excitedly, “Wow!”

The red stone was bright and resplendent like an agate, exuding a strong spiritual energy fluctuation. It contained a huge amount of fire element spirit power.

Suddenly, an eerie voice came from their left, “Haha, I’ve finally found you. Now, I’m going to eat you.”

Zhang Yuxin’s face paled and she cried in panic, “What is that?”

Shen Fei immediately became alert and turned his head to look at the source of the cold voice.

A man with long hair and tattered clothes appeared before them. The man looked like he was made up of bones. His body was like a dried up corpse.

He stared at the red stone, his throat moving as he gulped.

Shen Fei stared at him and asked in a deep voice, “Who are you?”

He looked like a zombie. He also seemed quite strong, at least several times stronger than ordinary Beastmasters.

The zombie’s empty gray eyes flickered with a bloodthirsty light. After hearing Shen Fei’s words, he grinned and revealed his sharp teeth. He then laughed sinisterly, “Hehehe… This is your grave, so obediently become my food!”

As soon as he finished speaking, he suddenly shot forward with extreme speed. Like an arrow that left the bow, he jumped toward Shen Fei and the others with a sharp gust of wind. His withered claw-like hand swiped through the air, carrying with it a shrill whistling sound.

Shen Fei’s eyes turned cold as he clenched his palm flat like a blade and welcomed the attack.

The two palms collided, and an explosive sound erupted.

With the sound of bones breaking, the mummified body was sent flying. Shen Fei laughed coldly. His figure shot forward and he assumed his fist at the mummified corpse. His momentum was like a dragon descending from the sky, absolutely ferocious. Shen Fei swept his leg at the zombie in a whip-like movement, kicking his waist, and causing his body to bend and almost fall to the ground.

After that attack, the zombie let out an angry roar. Two wisps of green flames flared out of its empty eye sockets, making it look like something out of a horror movie.

Shen Fei was not afraid at all. He once again waved his fist and smashed it at the corpse.

“Brother Shen, be careful. I’ll help you!” Ye Fei quickly said, then summoned a Devil Bat to attack the zombie. Faced with the sudden appearance of the Devil Bat, the zombie was overwhelmed and was forced to retreat.

The Devil Bat flapped its wings and cut through the air, letting out shrill screeching noises. Its body was as fast as lightning, and every time it attacked, it could easily land a hit on the zombie. Moreover, it was highly toxic. When the Devil Bat scratched it, the zombie’s skin corroded quickly, making him suffer.

The zombie was heavily injured and was forced to retreat into a corner. The Devil Bat raised its head and roared fiercely. It flapped its huge wings and swooped down at the zombie like a whistling hurricane, wanting to use its sharp claws to land a fatal blow.

However, at the critical moment, a black shadow suddenly appeared out of thin air beside the zombie and blocked the fatal blow for it.

The Devil Bat and the Black Shadow collided fiercely, giving off a deafening sound, and setting off billowing waves in all directions.

The Devil Bat was sent flying more than ten meters away, crashing into a tree trunk and falling to the ground. Meanwhile, the Black Shadow did not move and stood firm.

Shen Fei and Ye Fei both stared at the black figure. The Black Shadow was a woman. She was dressed in black, which hugged her curvaceous body tightly, and her face was obscured

“Who are you?” Shen Fei coldly asked.

The Black Shadow glanced at him and ignored him. However, the way she looked at Ye Fei and Zhang Yuxin was filled with coldness, as if she wanted to eat them up. Ye Fei and Zhang Yuxin felt a shiver run down their backs, as if a chill was rising from the soles of their feet to their heads.

They subconsciously moved closer to Shen Fei, showing their deep fear.
