Chapter 416 - The Doctor Is A Swine

Meanwhile, in the City Hospital.

The nurse was still frowning as the stench of alcohol made her want to throw up.

But there was nothing she was able to do.

'My duty with getting finished within 20 minutes, then I will be free from this smell.'

She thought while looking at the man lying on the bed with disgust.

About one and a half hours ago, she was about so angered by the senior doctor that she wanted to slap the writing pad in her hand on his head.

"The doctor appeared afraid of something if this guy related to him and that was why he was so much worried about him."

The nurse thought as she glanced at the patient.

"SQUEEKK"

She heard a squeaking noise making her feel even more annoyed as she turned around and saw that it was a middle-aged man wearing a branded suit who had opened the door in a rush.

"Mr, you should leave the room, this might cause harm to the patient."

Even if she was a bit disgusted by the smell of alcohol, she was still a nurse and it was her duty to take care of her patient and not allow them to be disturbed when they were resting.

"My Son."

The man exclaimed as he gasped for air while panting.

The nurse understood who the person was and said.

"Sir, please understand you shouldn't disturb the patient."

The man glanced at her with anger and disdain while quaffing.

"You don't need to order me for what I should do or now."

Saying that he continued in a voice full of disdain.

"I have called the doctor who was responsible for taking care of my son."

"He will be here any moment."

He said and then walked closer to the bed and sot on the stool next to it.

"Ohh my son, what has happened to you."

He cried with a pained look.

The nurse could only glare at the man but knowing that there was nothing that she could do and nor should she interfere in this kind of people, she only continued to observe the patient and record the data while sitting on her stool.

The man continued to sob for a couple of minutes before the nurse heard the door being opened once again.

She didn't need to look around to know that it was the same doctor who had come here about an hour ago.

That was because the stench of alcohol in the room was something that any doctor would close his nose not wanting to smell.

But this guy didn't even feel even the slightest annoyance with such a smell.

If they were anyone other in his place they would  have run out right after being blasted by the stench which ran over them after opening the door of the ICU

"Mr Yang, you need to control yourself."

The doctor went beside the man and paled his hand on his shoulder trying to comfort him.

"What did you say?"

The man turned to the doctor with anger in his eyes.

Of course, it was because the doctor had placed his hand on the man's shoulder and not because his son was lying in front of him completely unconscious.

"I am sorry."

The Doctor staggered back while about to fall on the ground but he caught hold of the bed and stabilized himself.

This man in front of him had a lot of power and even had many criminals under his shadow.

Though this guy in front of him was a businessman for the City, the Doctor clearly knew that the business was nothing but just a facade to cover his other face.

"How did this happen?"

The man glanced at Yang Kun who was lying unconscious and asked.

Of course, with his background, he didn't need to ask him because before he arrived back in the Star City he had known a lot about it.

He just wanted to know if everything was clear or not.

The Doctor nodded and recalled everything that the police report had been registered with, and there were many things that he had not mentioned in the report like the patient being drunk while he was driving and such.

"Hmm."

"You say that there were two people who had been there at the time when he met an accident."

The man narrowed his eyes feeling that there was something off here.

"Yes, it was reported by her statement that she would have been hit with the car if not for her husband."

"So you mean to say that a car that was at a speed was about to hit someone but another guy was able to help her?"

The man muttered this same sentence a couple of times before his eyes widened a bit in shock.

'There is no way that anyone woudl be able to take any kind of action in such an instance.'

'They used to say about some martial artists who would be able to do such things but those would rarely be in places like Star City.'

The man thought and then barked at the Doctor.

"I need the information of the two in front of me right in 5 minutes."

He said before turning back to Yang Kun who still had little to no change in his condition.

"Yes yes."

The Doctor nodded in a haste and then rushed out of the ICU.

Meanwhile, the nurse glanced at the door and sighed.

'This Doctor is no less than a rat.'

With that, she continued to look at the monitor the screen showing various readings while completely ignoring the sounds of the man.

Suddenly Yang Kun's body started trembling.

"BEEP BEEP"

The monitor made a few beeping sounds before the nurse rushed to Yang Kun and checked his pulse.

Hearing the sudden beeping and his son's body shivering like crazy the man didn't know what to do, he glanced at the nurse who was checking his pulse before she picked up the buzzer from her pocket and pressed onto it.
