Chapter 402 - Papa Close Your Eyes, Humph

"I didn't mean that Xiao Ya, but I really find you a bit different."

"Maybe it has something to do with the treatment that Yu Lan's brother did."

Mei shrugged her shoulder and glanced at Xiao Ya who was wearing a simple top and jeans.

Subconsciously her sight landed on the necklace on Xiao Ya's neck and her eyes brightened.

"Wow, Xiao Ya, where did you buy this necklace, it looks so beautiful!"

Mei said while wanting to touch the silver basket which seems to be housing an egg in it.

The Egg like thing was really beautiful with various carvings on it which appeared to be made of gold, but knowing Xiao Ya's condition and background, Mei thought that it was some kind of pain which was used, but she didn't despise that but in fact, she felt that it was rather beautiful and looked good on Xiao Ya.

Just as Mei was about to touch the basket, Xiao Ya shivered and took a step back.

"Huh, what happened are you still feeling unwell?"

Mei asked in worry and extended her hand to give her support.

But to her awe, Xiao Ya didn't look like she was feeling any pain, but extended her hand towards her chest and cupped her necklace.

"Calm down, she is my friend."

Though Xiao Ya only mumbled while Mei was also not able to hear what she had said, she still felt that Xiao Ya seemed to be behaving a bit weird.

'Why is she mumbling something while holding the necklace?'

Mei was wondering when Xiao Ya removed the necklace from her neck and then passed it to Mei.

"Here, you can see it."

Saying that she went to the bed and started to fold her bedsheet.

She would feel awful if she were to be a guest like this and made Ye Qian or Yuan Meng take care of all her things.

This was not how she would be like if she was at her home while she would take care of her house, then why would she not do the same here.

Ye Qian was already helping her a lot.

But when Mei was about to touch her necklace, she felt a sense of fear developing in her heart.

She was quick to understand that the Egg was afraid of being touched by Mei and being her close friend, Xiao Ya didn't want Mei to get hurt.

Although Ye Qian had told her that the Egg won't make any problem it was only under the condition that nothing provoked it or someone tried to harm her.

And being the thoughts of the Egg just like a small baby, it felt like Mei was about to harm Xiao Ya, its mother.

So it was trying to warn Xiao Ya.

So she quickly tried to calm it down, she didn't want any harm to befall her friend just because she likes the necklace she was wearing.

'Why did she behave like that all of a sudden?'

Mei thought while looking at the necklace.

'But this is really beautiful, I wonder where she got it from?'

She glanced at Xiao Ya who was placing the blanket in the cupboard with a pleasant smile on her lips.

'She has changed for sure, did this girl fall in love or something?'

Mei's eyes widened in disbelief.

She had known, Xiao Ya for a long time to know what she had in her mind.

Xiao Ya was always worried about her mother and there was nothing that made her let go of her dream of helping others.

Mei glanced at the necklace and felt a warmth in it feeling pleasant while holding it in her hand.

"Is this some kind of magical stone that many archaeologists talk about?"

She mumbled in a daze and saw that Xiao Ya was walking towards her.

"Let's go. I am ready."

Xiao Ya said with a smile and then walked out of the room.

Mei also followed and saw that there was Ye Qian, Yu Lan, her friends and Grandma Yan in the living room.

The two then went to their group while they started talking about various activities that happened in their University.

"CLICK"

After nearly 15 minutes.

The door of Ye Qian's bedroom was opened and a tiny head poked out while searching for something.

Or rather someone.

The tiny figure had long hair when comparing the figure's size.

The eyes of the figure moved around and then locked on Ye Qian who was smiling at her.

"Papa, close your eyes."

"Ahh, yes yes."

Saying that Ye Qian closed his eyes but still peeked while opening one of his eyelashes slightly enough to be able to see.

"Papa, no cheating, I said close your eyes."

The little figure pouted lightly while still staying behind the door.

She had known that Ye Qian would try to do something like this and so she didn't walk our right after Ye Qian closed his eyes.

"Haha fine, fine, I will not open them right now."

Saying that Ye Qian placed his palms in his eyes.

But anyone could still see that there was a gap in between his fingers and he was able to see everything clearly.

"HUMPH"

The little girl's pout increased till it would be able to hold a pencil as she narrowed her eyes.

"Aunt Lan'er help me close Papa's eyes."

"Hehehee"

"Stop it already, you will make my little girl angry now."

Grandma Yan snapped while slapping Ye Qian's arm.

Everyone chuckled seeing this small play of the two and didn't know what to say.

Yu Lan nodded while still giggling and went to close Ye Qian's eyes with her own her.

"Here I closed his eyes, now he can't see anything."

Yu Lan called out after not leaving even the slightest gap in between her fingers.

"I will come out now."

Saying that the little figure walked out whilst tiptoeing.

Yu Lan and her friends didn't know how they should react.

It was true that all of them were kind of envious of the little girl walking towards them.
