Chapter 399 - How Can I Blame Her?

"Papa, we brought some ice for you."

Two voices reverberated as Little Qiqi and Little Jia skipped towards Ye Qian.

Though the ice bag was n Little Qiqi's hands, Little Jia's hands were wet.

Ye Qian felt touched as he made the two little girls sit by his side after picking them up.

"Was it cold?"

Ye Qian rubbed Little Jia's tiny palm while making it a little warm.

The little girl's hand was so cold that one didn't need to know that she had to remove the ice gel from the ice track carefully since it was way too far off from her height.

So she needs to hold it for a couple of moments.

"No Papa it was not so cold."

Little Jia smiled gently.

"No Papa it was very cold; Big Sister is lying."

"Hmm."

Saying that Little Qiqi handed the gel to Ye Qian.

"See how cold it is. Big Sister needed to remove it as it was stuck to the wall of the ice rack."

Little Qiqi exclaimed.

Ye Qian patted Little Jia's head as he felt a feeling gushing in his heart.

'This little girl is really so good. How can I blame her for anything?'

Ye Qian sighed and then turned to Yanran who was about to continue.

"It was said that the mall had a got a large amount of ice stuck in its drainage system which had caused the mall to be shut for a couple of hours."

"So..."

Yu Lan and Lin didn't quite understand what Yanran meant by saying this to Ye Qian there was nothing that connected any kinds of dots whatsoever to him nor was there for him to know about this.

"Wait for me to complete."

Yanran rolled her eyes at the two and then continued.

"It was found out that the ice was so cold that the people who went near the drainage system to remove it suffered from frostbite."

Yu Lan and Lin's eyes were wide open as they heard all.

Yanran had a prideful look as she continued.

"That was not all, it was found out that if they had been there for even just a minute or so more than none of them would have been alive till now."

This time her voice sounded serious.

It was indeed not something to look down.

"The mall will be closed for a couple of days until the problem is removed, but until then, no one is allowed to pass the premise of the mall."

"I even heard that there might be some scientists coming here just to study the phenomenon, if what I have read is true then Dr Liao would also be here since he is one of the Geographical professors."

Yanran's eyes were shining as she recalled the great scientist which would come to their city tomorrow or in a day.

Meanwhile, Yuan Meng was also shocked to learn of this as she subconsciously glanced at Ye Qian.

He had told her about Little Jia's condition becoming bad yesterday while they were coming back home before.

She even doubted that this was all due to Little Jia's condition.

Ye Qian had told her that while Jia wanted to use the bathroom of the mall, there was a specific reason for him to be so worried about her.

Now that Yuan Meng recalled what Ye Qian had told her about Little Jia's special body that day she got a vague thought of this being related to Little Jia's special body.

'As I was worried about, Jia's Icy Yin is way too powerful, I don't dare to imagine what might have happened if she would have been even a moment late from releasing the residual Frosty Ice.'

Ye Qian sighed in relief as she subconsciously glanced at Little Jia who was blowing her hands with warm air from her mouth while smiling at him.

Ye Qian smiled back and then turned to Yuan Meng who was looking at them and nodded.

'As I had thought, it is related to Jia, I don't dare imagine what would have happened if that had happened to Jia.'

Yuan Meng shivered after thinking of this and sighed in relief.

"Huh, what are you all talking about?"

Ning Wei walked to them after hearing so much discussion.

She had heard a few words and was quite astonished to hear something like this happen.

"If I am not wrong, there shouldn't be something like this happened, although the weather is quite cold, it is not to such a degree that it would make the drainage systems get so cold as to stop working, besides it shouldn't stay cold for so long anyway."

Being a Science teacher, Ning Wei was bound to get interested in knowing and understanding something like this.

But what she had thought was indeed true according to the Science of this world.

But as the saying goes, some things are beyond Science, and though she knew about this having a live example sitting in front of her, she would still find it a bit hard to apply the same thought to everything that would happen right?

Much less when she didn't know anything about her daughter's special constitution and the trouble it would have, since Ye Qian had not said anything to her about it at all, as it would only make her worried for her daughter.

"What Big Sister said is indeed true, but that has happened and I also don't know what to say about it, maybe Brother Qian would know something about it?"

Yanran nodded at Ning Wei and then turned to Ye Qian with starry eyes.

She remembered the explanation that he gave them yesterday about the Transmutation of Materials and was quite fascinated but his knowledge.

Little did she know that this was all-cause by him.

Be it the transmutation of the soil around the Shijing District or this frost.

Though the latter was caused indirectly, it was still related to him.
